The whole online world now knows that Demi Moore was "smoking something" last week, and the act resulted in a "semi-conscious" state that left at least one friend in a panic.

That's because the 911 call placed on behalf of the actress was released to the public, something that's permitted in our justice something and something which befalls most celebrities who end up in the hospital.

But George Clooney doesn't believe this should be the case.

"I think it's a stupid thing," the actor told The Insider. "I think it's stupid for anyone, whether they're celebrated or not, I don't believe their 911 call should be broadcast around the world, but that's my opinion. What's happening and what people have to remember is that people are getting famous from Facebook and Twitter, so it's not just about people here, it's about everybody. There won't be any version of privacy. So it's going to be a tricky thing."

It's a tricky subject indeed. Where do you stand on it? Should 911 calls be made public?

George Clooney took home the trophy for Best Actor in a Movie Drama at the ceremony, for his role in The Descendants, while Kelsey Grammer's win over Bryan Cranston, Damian Lewis and others in the category of Best Actor in a TV Drama was one of the night's biggest upsets.

Both of these stars arrived on the red carpet with lovely ladies on their arms, as well. Stacy Keibler is Clooney's latest young conquest, while Grammer is married to 30-year old - and pregnant! - Kayte Walsh. Which of these couples looked the hottest? That's for you to decide right now...

George Clooney is an Oscar winner, a philanthropist and a bachelor with a new beautiful woman on his arm almost every year.

Yet the actor tells the latest issue of Rolling Stone that life wasn't always so perfect. Far from it, in fact.

Referring to a spinal injury he suffered on the set of Syriana in 2005, Clooney said he was bedridden and "at a point where I thought, 'I can't exist like this. I can't actually live."

Elisabetta Canalis may have dated George Clooney for years, but the 33-year old model has come out and denied reports that she was pressuring the actor into having kids or getting married.

After all, Canalis says, "between us there was more of a father-daughter relationship."

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant makes this strange comparison in Bruno Vespa's new book "Questo Amore" ("This Love"), saying there's no bad blood at all between her and the Oscar winner, 50.

She considers Clooney "the person who valued my feminine side the most" and "also one of the best people I have met from a charitable point of view," adding creepily again: "He has been a special for me, and very important, just as a father would be."

While George Clooney has been hopping - okay, flying first class in a private jet - from red carpet to red carpet over the last few weeks, most eyes have been trained on the woman on his arm. And for good reason:

Stacy Keibler is far from unattractive.

But the actor has also given fans multiple looks at various events honoring his two latest movies, The Ides of March and The Descendants. Let there be no doubt: Klooney lives!

While George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were spotted together last month at the Toronto Film Festival, they managed to avoid posing for any photos as a couple, simply meeting at various times for dinners and meetings.

But the twosome stepped right into the spotlight over the weekend at the New York City premiere of The Descendants (trailer HERE), smiling for photographers on the red carpet of The Lincoln Center:

Safe to say George Clooney will not be voting for Herman Cain in 2012.

While the GOP Presidential hopeful raised eyebrows this week by telling those at "Occupy Wall Street" protests in NYC to blame themselves for their joblessness and/or lack of prosperity, The Ides of March star stands behind the movement.

"It seems great," he said. "I feel terrible because we've been on tour for so long, I haven't quite been able to catch up with the whole thing and [be more involved]."

"I'm a Democrat so I support Democrats," Clooney said, adding that "I'm not one of those people that runs and hides when things start going south."

Slightly less famous but more directly involved is Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley, who was picketing personally this week. Yep, carrying a sign and all.

"I mean, listen, it's cheesy," he said, "but I want to do whatever I can."

"Let's be honest: I'm on f--king Gossip Girl. It's absurd that celebrity power is what it is, even on that scale, but, like, use any tool you have, you know?"

Well put. Other stars such as Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Russell Simmons and Michael Moore have also been spotted picketing at Zuccotti Park.

One is likely the hottest young name in Hollywood, both in terms of looks and talent.

The other may be the hottest name in Hollywood, period, an Oscar winner, actor, director and activist.

And, incredibly, The Ides of March will feature both Ryan Gosling and George Clooney, as the former plays a political strategist (and talks to our friends at Movie Fanatic in this exclusive interview) to the latter's Presidential candidate. We wonder what plan he'd come up with to win the following showdown:

Gosling or Clooney. Which of these stars would you rather... you know? Vote now!

And the Winner is?

They are both talented and very, very attractive. But you can only vote for one Ides of March star to get it on with. Good luck! View Poll »

In The Ides of March, which hits theaters Friday, an up-and-coming press secretary (Ryan Gosling) finds himself involved in a major political scandal that threatens to upend his candidate (George Clooney)'s shot at the presidency.

While some have drawn parallels to the Rielle Hunter scandal that derailed the career of John Edwards, Clooney tells Movie Fanatic in an interview that his character and the story at large were not based on any particular politician.

Moreover, the film is more about moral choices than politics.

George Clooney in The Ides of March

"We're reflecting the mood of our country and our world," Clooney said. "If the film reflects some of the cynicism, that's probably good, it's not a bad thing to hold up a mirror to our politicians. But that wasn't what the film was designed to do."

"There isn't a person you have met that hasn't been met with moral questions," he adds. "Everyone makes moral choices to better themselves and hurt others along the way and whether the means justifies the ends."

Clooney discussed the movie's complex themes and raved about its cast, which includes Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
