The most successful artist in music history is on his way back.

Garth Brooks announced yesterday that he will kick off a three-year world tour in the near future, with the first date to be confirmed on Monday and plenty more details to come afterward.

The 52-year old kept things mostly mum during a Nashville press conference, simply saying he’s “very proud” of the ticket prices for the tour.

He also teased a new album in the works, with the initial single being released “sometime in the next two months.”

He's on his way back, folks.

In an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America today, Garth Brooks announced that he'll soon be playing new music for fans around the nation.

“You know what, since it’s you and since we’ve had a history forever, let’s announce it. We’re going on a world tour in 2014,” Brooks said to the reporter. “I can’t believe I just did that, but you are a doll.”
