Blissful, stunning newlywed Jessica Simpson has penned a column for Glamour in which she revealed her wedding vows, but with a bit of a twist.

These aren't just the vows she exchanged with Eric Johnson at the altar, but the vows she's taken for herself, as they pertain to nurturing a happy marriage.

Remember Who You Are
"When I was younger and starting out in the music business," Jessica writes, "I always felt like I was being defined by other people ... industry executives, fans, the media, and so on. It took a while, but now that I'm in my 30s, I’ve grown into myself and established my identity on my terms. I embrace my strengths and celebrate even the small victories. I'm certainly not perfect, but when I look in the mirror, I'm proud of the woman I see. I'm not only a mother, wife, and daughter. I'm me."

While a wedding is "one happiest days of your life," she says "the love you are walking toward is most rewarding when you have that love coming first from within."

"It’s a time to celebrate with family and friends as you vow to build a life with your soulmate. These are the vows that I've made toward a loving marriage."

Now that the wedding has passed, "I've had some time to reflect on how life’s challenges and accomplishments have brought me to where I am right now. "

On the Fourth of July, Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in what's been described as a small, low-key affair.

Well, as the video below demonstrates celebs have a different idea of keeping it simple than the rest of us:

275 guests, 14 bridesmaids, and more chandeliers than the set of Downton Abbey were all on hand for the lavish semi-outdoor reception.

Rumor has it that Jessica was hungover at the wedding, but if that was the case, she certainly hid it well - smiling, cutting a rug and looking gorgeous in her Carolina Herrera gown.

Sure, the event was modest and toned-down in comparison to say, the Kimye wedding, but the same could be said about the last several Super Bowls.

Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in a Fourth of July ceremony last week, and while there were plenty of pyrotechnics, it seems the biggest fireworks may have been going off in the couple's throbbing skulls.

Hooray for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. These two tied the knot in July 2014.

While Jess and Eric's wedding was certainly low-key in terms of celebrity nuptials, the couple planned to party with family and friends for three days, beginning with a lavish rehearsal dinner on July 3.

Unfortunately, sources say Jess committed a rookie mistake and got plastered on night one of the celebration, leaving her in rough shape for the big day.

Yes, Jess was a mess, and she reportedly made no effort to hide it from her bridesmaids:

"It's all about family for us," Simpson tells People in the cover story, which features exclusive details from the big day as well as 27 more photographs.

The bride asked her mom, Tina Simpson, and her sister, Ashlee Simpson, to be her maids of honor. Eric's dad, Stephen, served as his best man.

Ashlee's fiance, Evan Ross, was one of 11 groomsmen. In addition to Tina and Ashlee, Jessica Simpson had 12 bridesmaids watching as she married Eric Johnson!

Her ordained minister father, Joe Simpson, officiated the nuptials, while their kids, flower girl Maxwell, 2, and ring bearer Ace, 1, really stole the show.

It was all about Eric and Jess on this day, though.

Mother of two Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson in California last weekend, and the best wedding gift of all came from an unlikely source:

People magazine!

The publication reportedly shelled out $300,000 for exclusive rights to photos and other content from the big soiree, which Simpson said was “magical.”

Made a little more so by that donation, no doubt, by the magazine that has shelled out big bucks for similar wedding stories and images in the past.

Both Drew Barrymore and Kim Kardashian (when she wed Kris Humphries, not 'Ye) were paid handsomely by People, which approached Jessica.

“There was no bidding war,” says an insider.

The only competition People worried about was Instagram. Sources say all the guests at the lavish wedding “were told no cell phones, no photographs.”

Jessica Simpson is finally getting married in 2014. She and Eric Johnson have been engaged to fiance Eric Johnson for three years, but two things got in the way.

Those would be the couple's children, daughter Maxwell Drew, 19 months, and son Ace Knute, 6 months. With cute distractions out of the way, it's wedding time!

“The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells, which is exciting … I think it’s about time,” she says in new outtakes from a Weight Watchers ad.

The future Mrs. Eric Johnson has been working hard to lose weight since welcoming Ace and is determined to fit into her wedding gown. That's extra motivation.

“Knowing I have the wedding coming up is definitely incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, keep counting my points and stay in the gym," she explains.

"I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are planning a wedding ALREADY, according to Life & Style. They've been engaged since November 2010, but whatever!

Jessica welcomed baby Maxwell just a few weeks ago, but the designer, singer and actress has yet to slow down, given her $4 million Weight Watchers deal.

Now she's busy planning a wedding, too!

Wedding Already!

An insider reveals to the new issue of Life & Style that Jessica and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, have set a new wedding date: Dec. 12, 2012. Yep, 12/12/12.

The couple, who got engaged a year and a half ago, reportedly had been planning to wed in Hawaii on November 11 (11/11/11), until she got pregnant.

"Jessica and Eric are still eyeing the same Hawaiian island of Kauai for the reception for around 60 family and friends," the insider reveals of their plan.

She's hired celebrity party planner Mindy Weiss, who planned Jessica's Charlotte's Web-themed baby shower, as well as her 2002 wedding to Nick Lachey.

Sounds magical. And original.

This has been quite the whirlwind year for Jessica Simpson.

The former signer/actress became engaged to former NFL tight end Eric Johnson last November, and recently confirmed she is pregnant after weeks of speculation.

"They're really excited," a source tells People of the pregnancy. "It wasn't something they planned per se, but it's also not something they were trying to avoid."

Still, it did cause the couple to put their wedding on hold.

"They're both still really committed to getting married, and were both really into making decisions about what kind of wedding they wanted," says the source.

The nuptials were originally set for this month, but when Jess got pregnant, they decided to put it off and will likely marry next year after the baby's birth.

The source insists that yes, they will marry, and soon: "It's just going to be at a later date now [because] they really want to enjoy this time in their lives."

"They're both very family-oriented and having a baby is something they both wanted," the source says, adding that they both believe, "It's wonderful!"

Jessica has yet to reveal the sex of the baby or which celebrity news magazine she prefers for the inevitable introductory photo spread for her spawn.
