LeAnn Rimes Likens Weight Loss Criticism to Bullying
LeAnn Rimes has spent much of this year sparring with her weight critics, be they her own Twitter followers, celebrity gossip sites or even fellow stars.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, the singer says she feels like a victim of bullies - in this case the media - in the wake of the constant speculation.
"I’ve kind of gotten over it when it comes to myself," she said, criticizing those who mock her because it's insulting to people with real eating disorders.
"These are diseases. Using them as name calling, it’s almost bullying. I feel for people are actually going through these diseases. I’m not one of them."
Asked by Ellen if she's "not anorexic in any way or bulimic at all," Rimes said, "No, I am not but I do feel like the press … they’ve been very irresponsible."
"Calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be, it just seems like bullying now," Rimes said, "instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through."
"That’s good that you got to clear that up," DeGeneres said.
Her husband, Eddie Cibrian, defended Rimes earlier this week, calling his spouse a workout fiend with a very healthy appetite, and the rumors revolving around her body irritate him as "she eats more than I do sometimes!"

Ellen DeGeneres Treated For Chest Pains
Ellen DeGeneres suffered chest pains during a producers' meeting on the Warner Bros' lot this morning and received medical attention, according to TMZ.
Someone from the talk show host's staff called 911, and the Burbank Fire Department dispatched a crew to the set of DeGeneres' program at 11:53 a.m.
Ellen is reportedly doing fine, and was even seen walking on her own after the Fire Dept. left. That's an encouraging sign and we're very glad she's okay.
More details to follow when and if the story develops.
Here's wishing Ellen a speedy recovery from the apparently minor incident.

Wanda Sykes Talks Breast Cancer, Double Mastectomy
Appearing on Ellen this week, Wanda Sykes opened up about a deeply personal, scary experience from earlier this year: the comedian was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She visited a doctor in February to undergo a breast reduction and, following a bit of lab work, was told she had ductal carcinoma in situ her left chest.
"I was very, very lucky because DCIS is basically stage-zero cancer," Sykes said.
Sykes was given a choice: Undergo a mammogram and MRI every three months to check on the disease - or have a bilateral mastectomy. She chose the latter because she now possesses "zero chance of having breast cancer," and also, the actress joked, because:
"I'm not good at keeping on top of stuff. I'm sure I'm overdue for an oil change and a teeth cleaning already."
Chaz Bono and Ellen DeGeneres Decry Bullies; Cher Lashes Out at DWTS Haters Again
Chaz Bono stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show today to chat about competing on the new season of Dancing With the Stars, and the hurdles he's faced.
While he knew that, as the show's first transgendered star, some people would have a problem with him, he never expected the backlash to be this bad.
After he explained what it felt like to be in his shoes, Ellen was less diplomatic in pointing out the ridiculousness of those (cough, Dr. Keith Ablow) who are anti-Chaz:
Later in the interview, they received a phone call from his biggest fan - mother Cher, who didn't hesitate to lash out, like she has before, at the haters.
"If you got that excess time and that amount of hostility, I'm not sure I can say anything to you that would make you change your feelings," she said.
"I don't know that I would have any magic words to soothe you, to comfort you into not being terrified of my child on Dancing With the F--cking Stars."
How awesome is Cher?
She did admit that she's worried about one thing: Chaz's dance moves. "You doing this dance is about as scary as you making 'the change,'" she says.
Al-Qaeda Magazine Hacked By MI6; Bomb-Making Instructions Replaced With Cupcake Recipes
Hacking. It's not just for Blake Lively nude photos anymore!
British intelligence agency MI6 recently hacked an Al-Qaeda online magazine, replacing bomb-making instructions with a recipe for cupcakes.
Seriously, this happened.

The joint venture by MI6 and the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters had agents insert into the magazine an encrypted version of “The Best Cupcakes in America,” published by the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Originally, the magazine had instructions on how to make pipe bombs, as well as articles by Osama bin Laden and deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri.
According to reports, America was onto this too, but a similar Pentagon operation was blocked by the CIA, who believed that the magazine was more valuable in its previous state as a source of intelligence.
Thus, the attack was launched from Britain instead. Delish!

As promised, Lady Gaga performed her new hit song "Judas" live on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and as expected, she did not disappoint.
Despite being an international superstar with legions of fans, Gaga admitted to the host that she hasn't always been a paragon of confidence.
“Do I feel like a loser sometimes? Yes, of course I do,” she says.
It's okay, Lady. You were "Born This Way" baby and you are very much on the right track. That segue doesn't work as well for "Judas," but alas.
Watch her rock the house on Ellen below!

Christina Aguilera on National Anthem Debacle: Caught Up in the Moment!
Give Christina Aguilera credit for taking it all in stride.
It's been a rough few months for the star, who's gotten divorced, been involved a melee with Julianne Hough, arrested for public drunkenness and more.
She also forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem before the Super Bowl, which was mortifying at the time, but she's shrugging it all off pretty well now.
Christina appeared on Ellen today to promote her new show (follow the link for a long preview for The Voice) and addressed the Star Spangled Bungle:
"I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for The Steelers as a child."
"I think 7 or 8. I would sing for them. I think had a moment where I was at the Super Bowl at 30 years old. I took in the moment a little too much."
NeNe Leakes on Star Jones: A Conniving Manipulator!
The claws are permanently out for NeNe Leakes.
During an appearance on Ellen that airs today, the Real Housewife and Celebrity Apprentice star was asked about nemesis Star Jones. The two have been feuding since the return of Donald Trump's reality show this month.
How does Leakes truly see Jones?
"She is bossy, she is manipulative, conniving. And I'm not even being funny," NeNe told the host. "I think that is real. I honestly think that is who she is."
But didn't the pair start out as friends? What happened?
Vanessa Hudgens to Ellen: I'm Single!
Selena Gomez, you're off the hot seat. Vanessa Hudgens, saddle up.
A day after Ellen DeGeneres pressed Gomez for information about her relationship with Justin Bieber, her fellow young star appeared on this talk show and was faced with similar questions during an interview what will air today. Is she friends with Zac Efron?
"We're good. After being in a relationship with someone that long, you stay friends," Vanessa replied.
Is she single? "Yes."
But what about photos of Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson? "Can't a girl have friends?" Vanessa asked. "I love him. We just did a movie together and we had the best time."
Fair enough, we suppose. Vanessa was mostly on Ellen to promote her upcoming film, Sucker Punch. Will you go see it? Check out the official trailer NOW.
