Just hours after the car accident that appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute with wife Elin Nodegren, Tiger Woods said he had to go buy her a huge ring.

That's according to someone who spoke with the golfing legend on Friday, after he crashed his car. Tiger told a friend, "I have to run to Zales to get a 'Kobe Special.'"

The person on the other end of the phone asked what a "Kobe Special" was. The reply: "A house on a finger." Tiger added that his wife had "gone ghetto" on him.

The Kobe reference pertains to the $4 million "adultery ring" the basketball star gave wife Vanessa after he nailed (and was accused of raping) a girl in Colorado.

While Tiger may very well have been joking about Kobe-style damage control, you have to wonder what he did to warrant a comment like that in the first place.

Tiger told the friend that his gorgeous wife had scratched his face up during an argument over reports that the golf great cheated on her with Rachel Uchitel.

Uchitel, right, spoke out last night and denied the affair took place. And maybe it didn't. But why would Elin flip out so bad if it weren't true? You have to wonder.

The Florida Highway Patrol is suspicious of Elin Woods' story that Tiger just drove off and hit a fire hydrant. Elin and Tiger have not yet been interviewed by police.

Woods' agent told the Florida Highway Patrol Tiger and Elin would not make themselves available to authorities Saturday. Is he waiting for his facial cuts to heal?

If Tiger and acknowledges a fight with Elin Woods, she could be arrested for domestic abuse. The Highway Patrol wants to examine the marks on Tiger's face.

He says he sustained the cuts in the crash. There is no blood in the car.

It's quite possible he's trying to protect his wife, who may or may not have attacked him, then chased him out of the house with a golf club, prompting the crash.

Driving under the influence of painkillers, which may have led Tiger to hit a hydrant and a tree while fleeing his own home at 2:25 a.m., may also be an issue.

Tiger Woods' alleged affair with another woman - rumored to be Rachel Uchitel - may have sparked a fight with his wife, Elin Woods, that led to his car accident.

Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident, but rather from his wife Elin, according to a conversation the golf legend had Friday after the crash.

Tiger has yet to be interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol, but apparently told a non-law enforcement type (who TMZ does not name) what went down.

The story goes like this: Elin Woods confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman a story that we reported yesterday (see above link).

The argument got heated and Elin scratched up Tiger's face.

At that point, Tiger made a break for it, trying to escape via his Cadillac SUV, but Elin Woods followed behind him in hot pursuit - with golf club in hand!

Did Tiger Woods' car accident stem from a fight with Elin?

As he drove away, Elin struck the vehicle several times with the club, at which point Woods became "distracted" and thought the vehicle was stopped.

He looked to see what had happened, and his SUV hit a fire hydrant and then his neighbor's tree. This took place about 2:20 a.m. Friday morning.

Good thing Elin Woods had the golf club, because it helped him escape.

At least according to People and E!, which report that Mrs. Woods smashed out the SUV's back window to free Tiger, who was in and out of consciousness.

The source also claims Woods was taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which may explain why he seemed a bit "out of it" at the scene.

Tiger Woods will be fine after the crash ultimately suffered only minor injuries ... whether Elin Woods really inflicted them is another story.

** Update: Uchitel admitted to TMZ that she has met Tiger before, but has NEVER slept with him. She says the "sources" that spoke to the National Enquirer were each paid $25,000 for their story.

Rachel Uchitel is either a serial liar or a serial mistress.

In October, she claimed to be having an affair with Bones star David Boreanaz. The celebrity gossip world reported on the story and then shrugged.

No offense to Boreanaz, but he doesn't get our juice flowing.

If Uchitel's latest story is true, however, she'll receive the proper attention she clearly craves. The National Enquirer reports that Uchitel has been sleeping with Tiger Woods.

Forget the iconic Tiger Woods fist pump, Rachel Uchitel says the golfer has been pumping her full of his nine-inch iron.

A friend of Rachel's supposedly told the unreliable magazine:

"Rachel told me, ‘I’m having an affair with Tiger Woods. We’re in love!’ She even read me text messages Tiger sent her that said ‘I love you, babe.'"

"'It’s always going to be just you and me.' They were constantly sexting."

Tiger's lawyer denies the charges levied by the tabloid, but does actually tell the Enquirer's print edition that his client met Rachel Uchitel at a club.

On a day in which Tiger Woods usually hoists a trophy at San Diego's Torrey Pines course, the world’s No. 1 golfer celebrated an even greater achievement:

His first son was born.

Woods announced on his website early Monday that his wife, Elin Nordegren, had given birth to a boy, Charlie Axel Woods. This is the couple’s second adorable child following the birth of daughter Sam Alexis Woods in June 2007.

“Elin and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Charlie Axel Woods, who was born on Sunday, February 8, 2009,” Woods wrote in a statement.

“Both Charlie and Elin are doing great and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts. Sam is very excited to be a big sister and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.

“I want to thank all of our doctors, nurses and the hospital staff for their personal and professional care. We look forward to introducing Charlie at the appropriate time, and again thanks from all of us for your kindness and support.”

Sitting at home and rehabbing a surgically repaired knee, what else does Tiger Woods have to do but see Elin Nordegren nude? Lucky stiff.

Our point? Woods and Nordegren are expecting baby #2!

"Elin and I are proud to announce that we are expecting our second child in late winter," the golfing great wrote on his official site.

"This has been a year of contrasts," the father of Sam Alexis added. "I had a solid start to the season, won the U.S. Open in an exciting playoff, then unfortunately had to shut it down after successful knee surgery. Now, I have some wonderful news to report. Sam is going to be a big sister."

Woods and Elin Nordegren welcomed baby Sam Alexis Woods in June 2007. The couple also revealed photos of the newborn a week after her birth.

"It is a dream come true for both Elin and myself," he said of parenthood. "I've been changing diapers and doing feedings. I definitely don't sleep now."

Tiger Woods finished second at The Masters this past weekend. He failed to overtake relative unknown Trevor Immelman in the final round.

Tiger Woods won the Target World Challenge Golf Tournament by seven shots on Sunday at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

As much as we'd all love to see Elin Nordegren nude, Irish magazine The Dubliner has paid the price for replicating an image of Mrs. Tiger Woods in the buff.

The wife of the world's greatest golfer won $183,250 and an apology from the publication that published an abusive article and a fake naked photo of her in 2006.

Trevor White, publisher of The Dubliner, conceded that the article was "cheap, tasteless, and deliberately offensive. It was also completely untrue."

All words from that description also hold true for the Jessica Sierra sex tape. Except for the "untrue" part.

No Elin Nordegren naked pictures here, folks. You'll have to make do with this bikini shot.

In a statement released earlier today, Nordegren welcomed the settlement.

"The false and deeply offensive article in The Dubliner magazine, with the accompanying photograph of another woman wrongly claimed to be me, caused great personal distress to me and my family," she said.

The beauty also said she'd donate the money to a cancer charity in honor of Heather Clarke, the wife of Northern Ireland golfer Darren Clarke, who died of cancer before the Ryder Cup tournament.

"This regrettable episode in our lives in no way detracts from the great love of Ireland that Tiger and I share," Elin Nordegren Woods said. "We look forward to experiencing the extraordinary warmth of its people and of our many friends in Ireland again in the future."
