Brandi Glanville has left husband Eddie Cibrian, with whom she has two kids, Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. She has confirmed this, as well as the reason why.

"Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart," says Glanville. "I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other."

This is the first public admission that the long-rumored romance even happened - and it comes from her? So much for his affair being a publicity stunt.

In June, Glanville publicly told Rimes to quit stalking her husband. LeAnn denied the stalking, the affair and indignantly accused Brandi of defaming her.

But the affair was clearly taking place.

Amazingly, the final straw for Brandi Glanville came after lovers Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes were caught sneaking around together - last week!

The pair was spotted together in the early afternoon on Friday - four months after news of their affair first broke - outside the Malibu home of Jeff Berger, a longtime friend of the country singer and her husband, Dean Sheremet.

Sources say Berger has been facilitating meetings between Leann and Eddie at his home for about a month and that Rimes and Cibrian also made use of a rental house on L.A.'s west side. Berger denies he has been enabling an affair.

Rimes and Cibrian co-starred in Lifetime's Northern Lights earlier this year. Right around its premiere, they supposedly began lighting up the bedroom!

Meanwhile, news of Eddie having another affair - with 24-year-old model Scheana Marie Jancan, who has been linked to John Mayer - also just broke.

No word on when that started, or if LeAnn Rimes knows about it, or if she is really divorcing Dean Sheremet, as has been rumored in recent weeks.

Brandi Glanville did not elaborate as to which affair pissed her off more, but it's clear Eddie Cibrian was playing the field these past few months.

However, Brandi Glanville bashed Rimes earlier today, saying she was texting and calling Cibrian repeatedly, and when he switched his number to cut off contact with her, made sure she "ran into him" at a recent Lakers basketball game.

While the two definitely were spotted together May 17, LeAnn says the rumors of her stalking Cibrian and seeking publicity are just not true.

"[Brandi Glanville's] comments are incredibly defamatory," a spokesperson for Rimes stated. "While there are always two sides to every story, LeAnn continues to remain above the fray and chooses not to play this out in the press."

Interestingly, Eddie Cibrian has gone on record denying the affair, while Rimes has spoken only vaguely of having recent troubles in her marriage.

Rimes, 26, has been working in Los Angeles, while her husband of seven years, Dean Sheremet, 28, has been in Nashville writing and producing.

"They're still working on their marriage," says a Rimes pal, who adds that the idea that LeAnn is hungry for fame is "extremely disparaging ... To think that someone as successful and accomplished as LeAnn would want this is laughable."

Eddie Cibrian cut ties with his Lifetime movie costar LeAnn Rimes two months ago - after their alleged steamy affair was exposed - but his wife, Brandi Glanville, says the country star can't let go of her obsession with her husband.

"LeAnn is a stalker," Glanville says bluntly. "She refuses to leave us alone - it is both shameful and scary. People are going to say it takes two to tango and I get that, but at some point LeAnn needs to stop asking him to dance."

Brandi Glanville alleges that LeAnn Rimes (who was caught, on video, out on a date with Eddie Cibrian in March) intentionally tracked down her husband at the L.A. Lakers-Houston Rockets NBA playoff game back on May 17.

That incident was a couple of weeks after Eddie changed his phone number to end what Brandi called LeAnn's "constant texting and calling."

Glanville, a model, insists she's not a scorned wife: I'm a happy wife fighting for what I have," adds the mother of Mason, 6, and Jake, 2.

Rumors that Eddie Cibrian was doing LeAnn Rimes surfaced in March, and Brandi Glanville seems to admit as much, but all seems peachy between the two now.

• Rimes issues a statement in which she doesn't confirm or deny anything. Cibrian does deny it, but an incriminating video surfaces about 7 seconds later.

• A mysterious, alleged cousin of Rimes' husband, Dean Sheremet, emerges from the woodwork to say that he's actually gay and LeAnn is just his beard.

Was this all a publicity stunt for their movie?

We've seen Adrienne Bailon's PR guy leak nude pics of her, and Britney Spears' manager Larry Rudolph hack the email of choreographer Sandip Soparrkar to propagate rumors that he was dating Spears. So nothing would surprise us.

Then again, maybe there's truth to these rumors after all.

With an epic line rivaling the cheesiness of even the greatest One Tree Hill quotes, LeAnn Rimes' Northern Lights character says to Eddie Cibrian's in the TV movie:

"Now that we've run out of things to say, do you want to have sex? You know, hot, wet, forget-all-of our-problems sex. It's basic, it's primal, and it's low in fat."

And... scene.

It's that kind of dialogue that makes you wonder ... if Rimes' supposed off-set affair with Cibrian (both of whom are married) was concocted based on their on-set chemistry, or of said chemistry is a product of a real-life tryst.

Does it matter? Not to Lifetime, which scored an estimated 4.5 million viewers last night, the network said. The movie is the network's biggest of the year.

Yes, we're serious. A woman identifying herself as Dean Sheremet's "cousin Pebbles" phoned Michigan's Mojo in the Morning show Friday and dished about their marriage - which they admit is currently in a rough patch - and his sexuality.

LeAnn Rimes's rep responded that "There is no known cousin Pebbles."

Shocking revelation there.

A friend of LeAnn Rimes also says that the country star, 26, and Cibrian, 35 – who is married to model Brandi Glanville and has two sons, Mason, 5, and Jake, almost 2 – aren't in a relationship. Rimes is married to songwriter Dean Sheremet.

Rimes didn't confirm, but certainly didn't deny an affair in a statement issued on her website yesterday. So what gives? Are they hooking up or not?

Well, Us Weekly, which first broke the story, has posted a video of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian kissing, holding hands and sucking on each other's fingers.

All during a March 7 date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Twenty-two seconds into the clip, Cibrian arrives and the restaurant and they walk in hand-in-hand. Then they're seated - as seen in the center left of the frame - and proceed to hold hands (36 seconds) and kiss (1:47).

At the 2:10 mark, LeAnn Rimes suggestively sucks on Eddie Cibrian's finger. Yowza. They leave together shortly after. Us claims to have the $95 receipt for their dinner, which was paid for by Cibrian on his credit card and signed by him.
