LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality series premiered on VH1 last night, and after just one episode, many are already saying that LeAnn and Eddie may be worst reality show ever.

Yes, it's really that bad. What's worse, however, might be the the couple's awkward, embarrassing efforts to promote the thing.

When they're not trashing Eddie's ex, Brandi Glanville, Rimes and Cibrian have devoted their press time to griping about how stupid the public is for buying into the tabloid rumors about them.

While their press junket has been one train wreck after another thus far, LeAnn and Eddie somehow hit a new low this morning during an interview for Jennifer Hutt's Sirius XM show.

LeAnn & Eddie, the new reality show of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, may have hit a new low for the genre, which says a lot given the competition.

Eddie and LeAnn Ad

The show, ironically, is marketed as the "truth" about the controversial celebrity couple, who feel they need to put "their side of the story" out there.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, who had an affair while both were married to other people and then got married, cannot let go of the spotlight.

It's sad, considering that we've already watched Eddie's family fall apart in the public eye, yet this whole show is a giant exercise in their narcissism.

If you can’t laugh at your problems (home wrecking, ex-wives, parenting issues, tabloid scrutiny), they ask rhetorically, how can you go through life?

This would be a reasonable question if they weren't terrible individuals.

All of their alleged jokes are basically cheap shots at Brandi Glanville (no saint herself, obviously), and they come off as comically high on themselves.

LeAnn and Eddie is a real show that premieres next Thursday.

If you tuned out Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes to the point where you didn't know about this, or knew but blocked it out, we understand. And we are sorry.

Still the latest LeAnn and Eddie trailer makes it clearer than ever that this is one of the more nonsensical reality shows to ever exist, which says a lot.

Watch them below and try not to cringe at the awkwardness:

It's a mercifully short TV spot, but three moments stand out here:

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have a new reality show on VH1 so naturally it's time for them to start ramping up the drama in their lives.

Taking a page from the Tori Spelling-Dean McDermott fake relationship problems playbook, LeAnn and Eddie have begun leaking stories about their marriage to various tabloids.

But while much of the LeAnn and Eddie media blitz is cooked up by the couple's PR team, some stories have an air legitimacy to them.

Take, for example, the Radar Online report that LeAnn wants a baby, but Eddie is having none of it.

"LeAnn's begging Eddie to let her begin IVF, but he doesn't want more kids," says a source. "It's sad - not only is her body preventing her from getting pregnant, her husband isn't allowing it either."

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's VH1 reality show LeAnn & Eddie kicks off July 17, and to help you feel the excitement, a full-length trailer has been released.

It's pretty much as awesome/terrible as you would expect.

In just over two minutes, we see LeAnn and Eddie bash Brandi Glanville and dish about themselves, their love, their war with the paparazzi and so on.

Get ready for a whole new level of narcissism, THGers:

While True Tori took the TMI aspect of a celebrity couple's marriage to new lows, this may be unprecedented in terms of pure, needless self-absorption.

In that sense, LeAnn & Eddie looks truly remarkable.

The idea that anyone cares if they "set the record straight" about their relationship and lives is laughable, yet they are trying to build this narrative.

Eddie seems totally into the notion that the duo must provide the “truth” to counter the tabloid lies and show us "their side" of the public feuds with Brandi.

LeAnn Rimes. Owner of one of the great voices in modern popular music, and one of the most volatile Twitter accounts in terms of hateful mentions.

Sure, she and Eddie Cibrian wrecked homes together when she was married to Dean Sheremet and he was married (with kids) to Brandi Glanville.

Still, LeAnn and Eddie married in 2011, and stars have moved on from scandals far more salacious. In Rimes' case, though, she fuels the rage.

Constantly. When defending herself from the haters, she riles up the haters. When Tweeting positive things about Eddie's kids, she riles up the haters.

Rimes does not seem to grasph this, even as a fan stated in a respectful way that perhaps she would be more likable if she kept it to herself:

  • @leannrimes I'm not meaning this in a mean way. Do you think a bit of the hate would dwindle, if you were to not mention the kids as much?
  • @VeryPROUDAuntie No! They are my life Eddie and my life revolve around them I will not edit myself because of anyone else's childishness!

Yeah. It's like Tweeting to a wall.

Brandi Glanville has been raising a lot of eyebrows with her recent Twitter activity.

Possibly in response to a deleted clip from LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality show, the Real Housewife tweeted last night "Kill the GF of the ex BF!!! Sooooo many choices!"

A few hours later, Brandi took a more more Zen view on her divorce, tweeting, "I've just realized cheaters deserve each other and I need to be done!!!"

If only she'd come to that realization 5 years ago, Brandi could've saved herself a whole of public humiliation.

Although, she's certainly not the only one in this sad love triangle with a penchant for making herself look stupid:

In case you've forgotten, there's a LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian reality show coming out on VH1, and a new teaser clip from it hit the web yesterday.

According to those who saw it, the married pair talked about all the drama surrounding their relationship, and of course, Cibrian's ex Brandi Glanville.

LeAnn and Eddie are seen mocking The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi and discussing a tabloid report about their $50 million divorce.

The three-minute clip then mysteriously vanished from the web. Fortunately, the hot LeAnn Rimes bikini photo from earlier this week is still up.

Asked by E! News about the clip and whether it had been taken down, the network said a clip was never released. Which is untrue, but whatever.

The LeAnn Rimes-Eddie Cibrian reality show clip also showed her getting upset at Cibrian when he won't discuss the rumors on the red carpet.

So LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are gearing up for their new VH1 reality series, and potentially wanting to expand their family with more children.

We know. Try not to exclaim with joy all at once, everyone.

Asked about the show, Rimes said, "Good times! We had fun," while Eddie likely alluded to his former wife Brandi Glanville's Real Housewives filming.

"I mean, look," Cibrian joked. You can expect a lot of drinking and a lot of fights and we throw a lot of s--t at each other and it's a debacle. It's horrible!"

"It's like every other reality show," added Rimes, who's become a surprising celebrity gossip mainstay. "There’s a lot of heart but there’s also a lot of laughs."

"Eddie and I are very much that way in our relationship. We have a lot of humor between the two of us and give each other s--t a lot, so you see that."

Is LeAnn Rimes' new VH1 show with Eddie Cibrian the worst thing in the history of time? Or at least the worst reality show idea to actually make it to air in years?

A strong case could be made for both arguments.

Back when a LeAnn Rimes-Eddie Cibrian reality show was first talked about, we rolled our eyes, thinking this couldn't possibly be a thing that appears on TV.

We were wrong. See LeAnn & Eddie clip below:

As reality shows go, you might wanna stick with the old Bravo standbys, or try out I Wanna Marry Harry, which is at least sort of original and hilarious.

This? This is just one awkward hot mess of a show.

In an extended sneak peek that could cause Brandi Glanville to have a nervous breakdown, fans (if they have any) see LeAnn and Eddie discuss kids.

The rundown, as concisely as we can sum it up:
