This week on LeAnn & Eddie, we learn why LeAnn was a star in the first place, because frankly most people may not even remember that she is one.

Straight out of Nashville, Tennessee, LeAnn was catapulted to country fame as a teenager. Superstardom is more like it. She is a huge, huge name.

On this episode of the worst show in the history of the world, LeAnn is in town to promote her new album and spend some time with her estranged dad.

Eddie, meanwhile, struggles to find ways to justify his name in the title.

LeAnn and her father, Wilbur, have made progress in their relationship, but there's work to be done. They still can't talk about certain things, she admits.

This is a man she once accused of stealing money from her, so there's a lot of history there. History and genuine tension that permeates this episode.

When LeAnn voices nervousness over her dad watching her Grand Ole Opry performance, the mixed feelings she harbors become all the more clear.

Last week's LeAnn & Eddie premiere signaled a new low for reality TV, as the Z-list couple giggled their way through 22 minutes of scripted nonsense with all the believability of a 4th grade production of Hamlet.

One week ago, we never would've thought it possible, but episode two actually might be worse.

Things start off innocently enough with Cibrian and Rimes enjoying a catered dinner at home so that they can avoid the paparazzi. No really, Eddie said that.

Fortunately, Cibrian doesn't joke about LeAnn's eating disorder during the meal, but his other attempts at being funny include a toast to getting laid and jokes about his love of prostitutes. What a guy!

Eddie's well-rehearsed schtick falls flat, of course, but there are plenty of unintentionally hilarious moments in the episode, such as when Eddie reveals that he didn't know the TV show Dallas was filmed in Dallas. Seriously.

If you've read any reviews for LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's new VH1 series, then you know that LeAnn & Eddie might be the worst reality show ever.

But people watch lots of terrible shows starring no-talent hacks, right? After all, Keeping Up With the Kardashians is in its ninth season and we'd bet Kim doesn't even watch anymore.

Maybe viewers would ignore the critics and the fact that Rimes and Cibrian are terrible people, and just watch the darn thing anyway.

Hahaha! Glad you were able to convince yourselves of that, VH1 execs!

An estimated 374,000 people tuned into the premiere episode of LeAnn & Eddie. To put that in perspective, the episode was beaten in the ratings by reruns of COPS and Seinfeld, and a Nickelodoen sitcom called Dog With a Blog.

The televised train wreck known as LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality show will need some heavy promotion if it's gonna survive season one, so the homewrecking duo has been making the media rounds lately and saying things that reveal them to be even more delusional than we thought.

Take, for example, the recent interview in which Eddie opened up about the everlasting feud between LeAnn and his first wife, Brandi Glanville:

  • Brandi is Not Sorry

"My wife doesn't engage," says Eddie. "I mean if you want to look back, really dig down and be a journalist, look at the timelines and you will see there's a big discrepancy. There is really no going back and forth."

"I mean, you eventually have to say something, enough is enough, but the truth is, she always takes the high road."

Right. Apparently Eddie's forgotten about some of the more memorable exchanges between his first two wives:

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality series premiered on VH1 last night, and after just one episode, many are already saying that LeAnn and Eddie may be worst reality show ever.

Yes, it's really that bad. What's worse, however, might be the the couple's awkward, embarrassing efforts to promote the thing.

When they're not trashing Eddie's ex, Brandi Glanville, Rimes and Cibrian have devoted their press time to griping about how stupid the public is for buying into the tabloid rumors about them.

While their press junket has been one train wreck after another thus far, LeAnn and Eddie somehow hit a new low this morning during an interview for Jennifer Hutt's Sirius XM show.

LeAnn & Eddie, the new reality show of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, may have hit a new low for the genre, which says a lot given the competition.

Eddie and LeAnn Ad

The show, ironically, is marketed as the "truth" about the controversial celebrity couple, who feel they need to put "their side of the story" out there.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, who had an affair while both were married to other people and then got married, cannot let go of the spotlight.

It's sad, considering that we've already watched Eddie's family fall apart in the public eye, yet this whole show is a giant exercise in their narcissism.

If you can’t laugh at your problems (home wrecking, ex-wives, parenting issues, tabloid scrutiny), they ask rhetorically, how can you go through life?

This would be a reasonable question if they weren't terrible individuals.

All of their alleged jokes are basically cheap shots at Brandi Glanville (no saint herself, obviously), and they come off as comically high on themselves.

LeAnn and Eddie is a real show that premieres next Thursday.

If you tuned out Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes to the point where you didn't know about this, or knew but blocked it out, we understand. And we are sorry.

Still the latest LeAnn and Eddie trailer makes it clearer than ever that this is one of the more nonsensical reality shows to ever exist, which says a lot.

Watch them below and try not to cringe at the awkwardness:

It's a mercifully short TV spot, but three moments stand out here:

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have a new reality show on VH1 so naturally it's time for them to start ramping up the drama in their lives.

Taking a page from the Tori Spelling-Dean McDermott fake relationship problems playbook, LeAnn and Eddie have begun leaking stories about their marriage to various tabloids.

But while much of the LeAnn and Eddie media blitz is cooked up by the couple's PR team, some stories have an air legitimacy to them.

Take, for example, the Radar Online report that LeAnn wants a baby, but Eddie is having none of it.

"LeAnn's begging Eddie to let her begin IVF, but he doesn't want more kids," says a source. "It's sad - not only is her body preventing her from getting pregnant, her husband isn't allowing it either."

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's VH1 reality show LeAnn & Eddie kicks off July 17, and to help you feel the excitement, a full-length trailer has been released.

It's pretty much as awesome/terrible as you would expect.

In just over two minutes, we see LeAnn and Eddie bash Brandi Glanville and dish about themselves, their love, their war with the paparazzi and so on.

Get ready for a whole new level of narcissism, THGers:

While True Tori took the TMI aspect of a celebrity couple's marriage to new lows, this may be unprecedented in terms of pure, needless self-absorption.

In that sense, LeAnn & Eddie looks truly remarkable.

The idea that anyone cares if they "set the record straight" about their relationship and lives is laughable, yet they are trying to build this narrative.

Eddie seems totally into the notion that the duo must provide the “truth” to counter the tabloid lies and show us "their side" of the public feuds with Brandi.

LeAnn Rimes. Owner of one of the great voices in modern popular music, and one of the most volatile Twitter accounts in terms of hateful mentions.

Sure, she and Eddie Cibrian wrecked homes together when she was married to Dean Sheremet and he was married (with kids) to Brandi Glanville.

Still, LeAnn and Eddie married in 2011, and stars have moved on from scandals far more salacious. In Rimes' case, though, she fuels the rage.

Constantly. When defending herself from the haters, she riles up the haters. When Tweeting positive things about Eddie's kids, she riles up the haters.

Rimes does not seem to grasph this, even as a fan stated in a respectful way that perhaps she would be more likable if she kept it to herself:

  • @leannrimes I'm not meaning this in a mean way. Do you think a bit of the hate would dwindle, if you were to not mention the kids as much?
  • @VeryPROUDAuntie No! They are my life Eddie and my life revolve around them I will not edit myself because of anyone else's childishness!

Yeah. It's like Tweeting to a wall.
