LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian sat down for an interview with Joan Rivers recently, and as you may have guessed, the inappropriate jokes came fast and furious right off the bat.

Well, more accurately, LeAnn and Eddie laid down for Rivers' web series titled In Bed With Joan.

We're not sure what they're promoting, as their VH1 reality show has been a ratings disaster and is now limping to the end of its first and final season, but we're glad Rimes and Cibrian did this interview, if only so they could prove to the world that LeAnn can actually be more offensive than Joan.

Yes, we know this is the same Joan Rivers who said Palestinians deserve to die because they're stupid.

Even taking "jokes" like that into account, LeAnn may have actually said something more indefensible in the clip above:

The VH1 reality series LeAnn and Eddie may be a ratings disaster, but the title couple still earned a nice, seven-figure payday for their first season that no one watched.

Or should we say, Eddie Cibrian earned a nice seven-figure payday?

LeAnn Rimes With Eddie Cibrian

Yes, Star magazine reports that LeAnn has let Eddie keep every dime that the couple made from their carefully scripted series in order to help him feel "more masculine."

"She wants Eddie to have money of his own," a source tells the tabloid. "She thinks it's a good way to boost his self-esteem and make him feel that he doesn't have to rely on her."

Sure. He doesn't have to rely on her. The same eight people would watch the show if it was just called Eddie, right?

If you were ever on the fence in the ongoing Team LeAnn Rimes vs. Team Brandi Glanville feud, there's one thing that will likely get you off that fence:

LeAnn & Eddie. The couple's reality show is that bloody terrible.

  • Peace Out Brandi
  • Mr. & Mrs. Cibrian

Brandi Glanville has always held a certain place in our hearts due to her unfiltered nature, unabashed sarcasm, underrated wit and occasional charm.

Not to mention how amazing she looks in a bikini. Wowza.

Well, Rimes proves with each passing week how she and Cibrian are completely unable to demonstrate similarly redeeming qualities. On the contrary.

If you've been watching LeAnn & Eddie, and we feel sorry for you if you do, you know the extent to which these two will slam Brandi early and often.

Not that Glanville hasn't dished it out plenty in her day, but at this point, they just look sad dragging this out on TV, and she knows it too, Tweeting:

So there's this thing going around the Internet called the Ice Bucket Challenge. You may be familiar with if you're a human who lives on the planet and has ears and/or eyes.

LeAnn Rimes was a little late to the party and jumped on board with the trend yesterday. LeAnn loves attention, but she's some pretty stiff competition as far as the challenge goes:

Kate Upton doused herself earlier the same day, and it was just as glorious as you would expect. But even that couldn't compare to Dan Bilzerian's Ice Bucket Challenge video that featured cameos from random goats and a bunch of bikini-clad women.

LeAnn tried her best and assured us that she did make good on the donating to ALS part (a lot of people seem to be forgetting that part), but naturally she had to LeAnn it up and subtly make the whole thing all about her:

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have a new reality series, and even though LeAnn & Eddie has been a ratings disaster that will almost certainly be canceled after it's first season, Rimes thinks the show has changed her life for the better.

LeAnn Rimes Fashion Choice

In fact, even though the series is scripted and filmed in a rented house, LeAnn thinks that the eight-episode glimpse into her "real life" has caused millions of wet dreams, and made the public realize that Brandi Glanville is just a meddling drunken ogre.

"I've always said that Eddie and I are a gay man's wet dream," said LeAnn in a recent interview. "I sing, you can look at him and it's perfect."

Moving on from that offensive weirdness, LeAnn explains how her VH1 series:

“Baby, baby, baby, I’m excited.” - LeAnn Rimes on LeAnn & Eddie

When her friend Chrissy pays a visit to Malibu armed with a baby girl, you knew a scripted episode featuring LeAnn Rimes' baby makin' thoughts was nigh.

Rimes ven had to take care of the cutie solo. What a coincidence.

Eddie Cibrian, meanwhile, started whining about Brandi Glanville.

“You'd think my ex would be incredibly excited that I’m with somebody who loves the kids like they’re her own,” Eddie told his hairdresser, totally off the cuff.

Great plug for LeAnn the stepmom as well as a dig at Brandi.

"We communicate a little bit over email about the kids, and that’s it," he said. "I mean, I hope she finds happiness. Maybe she would stop talking s--t. I doubt it.”

We do too, Ed.

LeAnn & Eddie is a ratings disaster, and it's almost certain that there won't be a season 2, but fortunately Rimes and Cibirian have chosen to script and rehearse just about every scene, so they'll be able to escape the mess without too much damage to their reputations.

In order to help keep up appearances, the couple even pretended a rented Malibu mansion (probably paid for by VH1) is their actual home!

"That house ups the glamour and makes LeAnn and Eddie look like they're living the high life," says a source close to the production.

"They want people to think they're rich, but the truth is they live in a much older, rustic house and definitely aren't swimming in money."

On last night's episode of LeAnn & Eddie, we saw LeAnn Rimes struggling to make amends with the father and former manager that she once sued into oblivion.

It was a welcome change of pace, as at this point in her "career," LeAnn is more famous for destroying other people's families.

As part of the endless promotional tour for her low-rated VH1 reality show, LeAnn recently gave yet another interview to People magazine in which she defended herself against charges of stealing another woman's husband and trying to slowly morph into Brandi Glanville:

"People are always trying to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone else's kids," said LeAnn. "They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick away."

This week on LeAnn & Eddie, we learn why LeAnn was a star in the first place, because frankly most people may not even remember that she is one.

Straight out of Nashville, Tennessee, LeAnn was catapulted to country fame as a teenager. Superstardom is more like it. She is a huge, huge name.

On this episode of the worst show in the history of the world, LeAnn is in town to promote her new album and spend some time with her estranged dad.

Eddie, meanwhile, struggles to find ways to justify his name in the title.

LeAnn and her father, Wilbur, have made progress in their relationship, but there's work to be done. They still can't talk about certain things, she admits.

This is a man she once accused of stealing money from her, so there's a lot of history there. History and genuine tension that permeates this episode.

When LeAnn voices nervousness over her dad watching her Grand Ole Opry performance, the mixed feelings she harbors become all the more clear.

Last week's LeAnn & Eddie premiere signaled a new low for reality TV, as the Z-list couple giggled their way through 22 minutes of scripted nonsense with all the believability of a 4th grade production of Hamlet.

One week ago, we never would've thought it possible, but episode two actually might be worse.

Things start off innocently enough with Cibrian and Rimes enjoying a catered dinner at home so that they can avoid the paparazzi. No really, Eddie said that.

Fortunately, Cibrian doesn't joke about LeAnn's eating disorder during the meal, but his other attempts at being funny include a toast to getting laid and jokes about his love of prostitutes. What a guy!

Eddie's well-rehearsed schtick falls flat, of course, but there are plenty of unintentionally hilarious moments in the episode, such as when Eddie reveals that he didn't know the TV show Dallas was filmed in Dallas. Seriously.
