DeAnna Pappas wishes nothing but the best for The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris, who recently moved to Chicago to live with fiance Ed Swiderski.

She's just not sure it's gonna work out.

Ali Fedotowsky, Roberto Martinez

"I do hope it works out for them; the odds are against them," DeAnna told Us Weekly, though she did add that the couple is doing better than ever.

"Supposedly Jillan and Ed are still together, and head over heels in love. I haven't hung out with them, but we have mutual friends, and they say they are crazy about each other," Jillian's Bachelorette predecessor added.

"It seems to be working so far."

It was a difficult summer for Jillian and Ed, thanks to rumors that he slept with Lindsey Johnson a week after proposing to her on the reality show.

Another woman, Bethany Steffen, says he tried to get in her pants a week later. DeAnna Pappas' take? She wasn't that surprised by the report.

DeAnna Pappas, who famously chose the wrong guy on The Bachelorette finale, won't say if Ed was the wrong pick for Jillian. But she wasn't a big fan of Swiderski.

"I wasn't an Ed fan while [Jillian Harris] was filming the show," she said. "I think some people go on [The Bachelorette] with different intentions."

"Maybe they are not open in the beginning what their intentions are," she told Us Weekly, without elaborating. "So in the end, you get duped."

Another controversial reality couple from The Bachelor franchise's recent history, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, also still on, Pappas reports.

"They are so happy, and I do think that they are going to get married," she said of the two. "They really just get each other, it works for them."

Will Jillian and Ed last?

Looks like anyone who thought Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen were just making this stuff up to get paid by celebrity gossip tabloids was mistaken.

EDITOR'S NOTE: No one thought that. We all know Ed is shady.

Ashley, Blake and Ryan

Weeks after reports began surfacing that Ed Swiderski had not one but two girlfriends when he proposed to Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette, his complete email exchanges with both of them have been published online by Reality Steve.

Steve is a man with connections who often gets dirt on reality TV (hence the name), especially The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. He came through here.

He had previously been in contact with Ed Swiderski about an interview. Ed declined. But when Reality Steve obtained the emails Ed sent to his lady friends, he informed Ed that he was planning to publish them on his blog (which he did).

It appears Ed and Jillian have formed a united front and are determined to simply laugh off all of the tabloid reports of him being a two-timing cheater.

Swiderski's reply: "Go with it, Steve-o! After all, God put you here to report on reality TV, and that's certainly something to be proud of. It's your duty!"

What kind of guy is Jillian Harris marrying in Ed Swiderski?

Still, it's hard to see how she can laugh off him telling Lindsey Johnson, "I'm going to molest you when I get home" or telling Steffen "you know I never took this seriously" and "you know I am not, in any way, attracted to the chick."

Reality Steve has the full exchanges published and we reported on most of the highlights in previous articles. So let's just sum up what we know:

  • Two weeks before the show began, in an email to Bethany Steffen, Ed Swiderski specifically states that he "would be doing the show for the wrong reasons" and has no interest in romance with star Jillian Harris.
  • He then leaves to do The Bachelorette, telling both women he’s only going to be gone two weeks because that’s all "work" will allow. This is corroborated by his email to Lindsey, in which he wants to come home and fondle her.
  • Ed goes home. Both women say they saw him, hung out with him, and slept with him (unbeknownst to each other) when he was back in Chicago.
  • Lindsey Johnson says they went to a wedding together (friends have corroborated this), and she spent 4-5 days with him before he told her he was leaving for a "business trip" to Texas (really Spain and Hawaii).
  • She found out about this after he got back, having proposed to Jillian Harris on the season finale. Lindsey (below, right) had sex with Ed anyway. He tried to booty call Bethany (left) after the show ended as well.

Clearly, Jillian is an adult who can make her own decisions. If she wants to naively deny, or simply accept all this and look to the future with Ed, fine.

But after confirming that the above points are all more or less true, one would think it paints a picture of a shady character that is hard to ignore.

Will Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski last?

Wes Hayden may be the most hated man in the history of The Bachelorette, but that only goes for the fans, and is largely thanks to ABC's shady editing.

The country singer just wrapped up a guys’ weekend in Austin, Tex., with some other former contestants from the past season. No one seems to hate him.

“Tanner [Pope], who lives in Dallas, drove up while Mike [Stagliano] and David [Good] and the rest of the guys flew in to have a good time,” Wes said.

“I loved hanging out with the guys. We had a great time.”

Some of the guys hit a local spa resort, while the whole group hit local hot spot Ranch 616, where they shared dinner, drinks and gossip about The Bachelorette winner Ed Swiderski - and claims he was/is unfaithful to his fiancée Jillian Harris.

“I had no clue whether Ed had a girlfriend on the show. I didn’t know about it,” says Wes, who was also rumored to be dating Laurel Kagay while wooing Jillian.

“But if it’s true, I feel really bad for Jillian. I don’t know what to believe to be honest with you. I feel bad for Jillian and for [Ed Swiderski]. But if in fact he was doing what everybody’s been saying, then man up and deal with it.”

Wes Hayden, Jillian Harris

Fans really hated Wes Hayden. But he doesn't seem that bad.

The controversial country singer, who says not to believe everything you see on TV, and went on record saying the producers sabotaged him, expressed doubt about whether romance can blossom on The Bachelorette at all.

“I have a hard time grasping that any of the show’s intentions are genuine,” he said. “If Jillian honestly came on the show looking for love and thought that she found it and then found out it was all made up and Ed was cheating on her, that’s awful.”

As for Jillian Harris, Wes Hayden says, “We connected on the show and we’re always going to be friends.” But he’s focused on pushing his first album Full Circle.

“I’m not dating anybody; I’m way too busy right now,” he says.

“I see a lot of my sister right now though. She goes on the road with me wherever I go. But you know, if I meet the right woman, I’d like to settle down.”

Ed Swiderski openly talked about having a girlfriend while he was trying to woo The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris, former contestant Wes Hayden says.

"Dave [Good] and I remember Ed saying he had a girlfriend," says Wes, who also was accused of dating (Laurel Kagay) while on the show, to Us Weekly.

"But we are not the kind who are going to run our mouths."

Finalist Reid Rosenthal says some contestants thought from the start that Ed Swiderski, 30, was bad news and "didn't care to hang out with him."

Adds Michael Stagliano, "There was definitely some point where I did think, I'm not going to be best friends with this guy. Ed's a shady character."

The Bachelorette contestants are required to relinquish their cellphones and laptops on the show to keep interaction lively among the participants.

But due to his as a Microsoft consultant, Ed Swiderski "had an agreement" to keep both "because it was imperative for him to have access for work."

This agreement is now coming back to bite the Chicagoan.

Ed Swiderski: Cheater!

HOW HE TRICKED HER: Rather easily, it appears. Poor Jilly Bean.

Adds Jesse Kovacs of his competitor at the time, "Obviously, no one knew he was saying, 'I'm not into [Jillian Harris] and I can't wait to go home.'"

While Ed did some work, he also kept in touch with Lindsey Johnson, whom he was dating at the time, and told he was only going on the show for fun.

He even texted that Harris "wasn't his type," and that he was "not in any way attracted to the chick." Just what every newly-engaged girl wants to hear.

On April 12, three days before he told Jillian Harris he had to leave The Bachelorette to focus on his career, Swiderski emailed Johnson to say "I love you" and declared that he was going to "molest" Lindsey when he got home. Romantic.

Then, after getting engaged to Jillian on the season finale, he banged her again eight days later, according to the scorned Ed Swiderski play thing.

Another woman, Bethany Steffen, says Ed was stringing her along while he was dating Lindsey (and Jillian) and tried to get her in the sack a few days later.

Man, people are really piling it on Ed these past few weeks. Sure, maybe they are all liars, but you don't hear anyone backing Ed up, do you?

Will Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski last?

Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski have been the subject of much speculation ever since they got engaged on The Bachelorette - and even prior to the finale.

The issue? Rumors that Ed Swiderski was two-timing a pair of women before, during and after the show (and cheating on Jillian even after getting engaged).

They appeared on Good Morning America last week to put and end to the rumors that they are breaking off their engagement and that Ed cheated on Jillian.

But rumors of Ed's philandering, shadiness and racy emails to Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen won't stop, thanks to tabloids and the girls themselves.

What does Mike Fleiss, producer of The Bachelorette, have to say about it?

“They are a real couple," he told ET. "They are engaged. I am optimistic about these things. They look like a real couple. I can see them staying together."

"[Jillian Harris] is such a level-headed person. And Ed too seems like a level-headed person - maybe they will be able to survive this media blitz."

Will Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski break up?

Asked if all the scandals on both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor (which saw Jason Mesnick drop his chosen fiancee, Melissa Rycroft, for runner-up Molley Malaney) may hurt the show, Fleiss says, "What do you think? Booyah!"

More drama is great for ratings, no doubt.

As far as The Bachelor and The Bachelorette success stories, Fleiss stated, “Our batting average is about .250 ... I think that's pretty good. The show offers no guarantees, but has worked. Ed, on Good Morning America, said, you can find love."

With 13 Bachelors, five Bachelorettes and one marriage between them, Fleiss' math is fuzzy with his .250 claim, but Jason and Molly are still dating, at least.

As for the next season of The Bachelor, Fleiss teased that the franchise may continue its recent trend of making a star out of a high-profile, previous rejectee:

“When the new season of The Bachelor premieres, look for Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke or Jake Pavelka to be the one handing out the red roses.”

Hot! Who do you think should be the next Bachelor?

Reports have suggested for a week-plus that The Bachelorette winner Ed Swiderski was sleeping with and sending racy text messages and emails to two different women while romancing Jillian Harris, who he proposed to on the season finale.

It made for good gossip, but was denied by Jillian and Ed and there was little evidence to go by aside from the word of Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson.

Well, now Us Weekly has published some of the alleged e-mails. If he really wrote this stuff, you can't imagine Jillian will stay together with him for too long.

Ed Swiderski is accused of two-timing Lindsey, who he broke up with in December but got back together with in February, with Bethany, who he dated in between (and after) before he met Jillian Harris, then cheating on Jillian with both women.

It started before The Bachelorette. On March 5, Bethany Steffen was uncomfortable with him going on it. Ed said he "never took The Bachelorette seriously."

"I let the director know I would be doing it for the wrong reasons, as I am not, in any way, attracted to the chick. It's about a 25% chance of me going, though it's seriously the last thing I am thinking about right now. I was really hoping to grab your ass!"

Classy. But nothing compared to what he supposedly emailed to Lindsey Johnson regarding his strange mid-season exit from the show.

Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson say they're coming forward to warn Jillian Harris about Ed Swiderski. Those paychecks from a major tabloid probably helped too.

Ed, who later returned and asked for a second chance with Jillian, claimed he had to leave "for work." In reality, he just had to bang Lindsey Johnson!

Here's what he wrote to Lindsey on ...

  • April 10, 4:28 p.m.: "I'm going to molest you when I get home. Can you pick me up?"
  • April 10, 4:36 p.m.: "I'll call you as soon as I get my phone back."
  • April 11, 2:35 p.m.: "Trying to leave tomorrow ... hopefully I can pull this off."
  • April 11, 2:43 p.m.: "Trying, though it's not that easy. This whole show is a complete mind f--k!"
  • April 12, 8:35 p.m.: [after Lindsey Johnson wrote that "it's not fair" Ed was gone longer than the two weeks he promised] "You are right and I miss you dearly. I love you. I'm letting them know tonight. They'll get me home tomorrow."

Yeah. Not long after he orchestrated his return, Ed left town again, supposedly to go to Texas for work, according to Lindsey Johnson. When she found out he went back to the show, and got engaged to Jillian Harris, she was furious.

Then she had sex with him anyway on June 4, eight days after his TV proposal. A day earlier, Bethany Steffen says Ed tried to booty call her too. Classic.

The woman Ed Swiderski slept with after getting engaged to The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris says she sympathizes, but and fears he'll "play" her as well.

"I feel terrible," Lindsey Johnson told Us Weekly, which first reported that Ed not only slept with her after popping the question to Jillian, but was "sexting" another woman, Bethany Steffen, after he and The Bachelorette star got engaged.

"As Bethany said, Ed has a way with words," Johnson said. "This is what he did to us!"

Lindsey Johnson says she spoke to Ed Swiderski - whom she'd been dating for a year - the Saturday night before the July 27 season finale of The Bachelorette.

She informed Ed that she was going to tell her side of the story.

"He said, 'Lindsey, please do if it's going to make you feel better to get your side out,'" Johnson says. But later that day he changed his mind, and texted her that "I think you should just talk to me if you have any questions."

They haven't communicated since an August 1 text message in which Swiderski wrote "I thought you were over this?" Lindsey Johnson did not write back.

Will Jillian Harris heed the words of Lindsey Johnson (center) and Bethany Steffen?

Now that Swiderski has denied their relationship (he and Harris say they are "targeted" because they're "happy"), Johnson says she's "disappointed" in Ed.

"If he can live with what he said on his conscience, that's his problem. He knows the truth, I know the truth and our friends know the truth," Johnson says.

"He doesn't have to deny it on national TV, but he doesn't have to confess everything either. He could have taken a middle road and said something truthful."

According to Lindsey Johnson, Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris "will stay together to prove that they are the one happy couple to make it." But, well ...

"That's what Bethany and I both did when we were dating him despite what people were saying about him to us," Johnson recalls. "There were so many signs. Even his friends used to say to me all the time, 'Lindsey, he does not deserve you."

"And I would ask, 'Why would you say that? Ed is one of your best friends, and he is a great guy.' But they would never tell me why. Now I know!"

What do you think? Will Jillian and Ed last?

Did The Bachelorette give the final rose to a two-timer?

That was the question put to Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski on Good Morning America today amid rumors of him cheating with Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson.

"This is nonsense. I feel like I'm in high school," Harris said, adding that an earlier report that Ed had two separate flings is "unfortunate" and "inaccurate."

Ed Swiderski also tried to deny rumors that he "sexted" up Bethany Steffen and then banged Lindsey Johnson eight days after getting engaged to Jillian.

"It's actually not true at all," the Chicago native said. "Jillian and I have become the target of being one of the very few successful couples on the show."

"We're clearly being targeted because we're happy."

BACHELORETTE SHOCKER: Was Ed cheating, as the spoilers predicted?

The season finale aired two weeks ago, and most people seemed to approve of Ed, rather than wanting to cut him down, so we're not sure we buy that.

While not denying that her fiance had been in contact with them, Jillian Harris again dismissed the allegations, saying that Ed Swiderski has no hidden designs and the twosome have been "open and honest" from the day they got engaged.

"I think these women are very hurt, and that they did love Ed. It must be very painful," she said. "That was in the past. Those are past relationships. He has been very clear with me from the very beginning. Ed is not deceiving me."

Harris and Swiderski haven't set a date yet but plan to tie the knot next year in Canada. Wonder what the Vegas line is on them making it to the altar. We also wonder whether Kiptyn Locke is looking better by the day or what?

Here's Jillian and Ed on Good Morning America ...

by Free Britney at . Comments

The date was June 4.

That's eight full days after Ed Swiderski got down on one knee and popped the question to Jillian Harris on the teary season finale of The Bachelorette.

That was when he railed Lindsey Johnson, according to Us Weekly.

A day later, he sent a flirty text to Bethany Steffen, texting her to "bring beer and condoms" over to his place, Steffen herself tells the gossip magazine.

Smooth line, Ed.

The scorned, humiliated women are speaking out now to warn Jillian Harris about her new fiancee's two-timing ways, which were rumored for months.

"Ed's not worth my time, but if I can help someone avoid heartbreak, I'm gonna do that," Bethany Steffen said of her lying, cheating cad of an ex.

The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, has apparently been betrayed by fiance Ed Swiderski. In other news, Nick and Vanessa are back on and Jon Gosselin is a "bad dad."

Ed Swiderski was reportedly dating both Steffen and Lindsey Johnson behind each other's backs prior to filming The Bachelorette, which began in late March.

Even while he was on the hit ABC show, he texted Lindsey Johnson that Harris wasn't his "type" and that he prefers "all blondes." He also wrote, "I love you." Cold.

According to the report, Ed lied to Harris when he said he had to bow out of episode five because he thought he'd lose his job as a Chicago software consultant.

Ed eventually returned to the show, and went on to win the final rose. But during his time back home, both Steffen and Johnson say they slept with Swiderski.

He then told them he was off to "a business trip in Texas," when in reality he returned to film episode seven of The Bachelorette and declare to Harris that he had "reprioritized" when it came to balancing work and tight shorts romance.

Reported Ed Swiderski playthings Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson.

Jillian herself has denied the women's claims in an interview, saying "It's not possible ... This is a bump in the road. We are a team and we'll get through it."

But Bethany Steffen warns, "Lindsey and I are both smart girls, and Ed just has this way of making people believe what he wants. Jillian needs to be careful."

Adds Lindsey Johnson, "I feel gross, used and completely violated. It shocks me that he was able to do something like that to me."

Will Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski last?

The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski would like to simply be celebrating their engagement, but he finds himself being hit with allegations that he was not faithful - and was in two (!) relationships while filming the show.

Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen both claim that Ed, a Chicago computer software consultant, was stringing them along while he was wooing Jillian on TV.

And that he continued to do so even after he and Harris got engaged.

Some reports have claimed Jillian Harris feels "betrayed" by her final rose recipient and that her relationship with Ed Swiderski has been "destroyed."

Not so, says the Canadian cutie.

“I am not destroyed!” Harris said in an interview. “There’s a little bit of anxiety that comes with this news, but I am absolutely not destroyed.”

Was - or is - Ed Swiderski two-timing Jillian Harris?

“What did he do wrong?” Jillian asks. “My big concern is with everything that happened after the day we got engaged, and after we got engaged he has been so open with me. He’s told me all of this, every text message and every phone call."

"I use his computer. I know that any communication he had with these girls after [The Bachelorette] was strictly platonic. I’m not worried about it."

Last month, Ed Swiderski talked about Lindsey Johnson: “When I left for this show we were not dating, but I certainly still had feelings for her.”
