Donald Trump recently sat down with CNN's Candy Crowley about his possible 2012 presidential run and why the country needs him. Some highlights:

  • He has a common sense mentality.
  • He "stirs the pot" because he tells it like it is.
  • He has name recognition because of SUCCESS.
  • Mitt Romney is basically a "small business guy."
  • The Trump Organization is BIG, strong and more powerful than you KNOW.
  • He has an ability to build HUGE NET WORTH and will put that to use for US!

What do you think? Should Trump run?

In February, Sarah Palin said the "birther" issue - whether President Obama was really born in the U.S. - was a "distraction" from more important issues.

Over the weekend, though, Palin defended real estate mogul Donald Trump's recent attempts to raise doubts about Obama's citizenship, saying:

"I appreciate that the Donald wants to spend his resources on something that so interests him and so many Americans, you know more power to him."

Perhaps fueled by Trump's rise in the polls, former Alaska governor's remarks on Sunday seems to signal a shift in her opinions on the "birther" issue.

"Obviously there is something that the president doesn't want people to see, that he sees going to great lengths to make sure it isn't shown," she said.

"And I think that's perplexing for a lot of people."

The issue is perplexing from either perspective.

John Legend not a fan of Donald Trump.

It's not The Donald's reality show or supposed ambitions to run for president in 2012 that have the Grammy-winning pianist pissed, either, but Trump's recent comments in which he persistently questioned President Obama's nationality.

"He needs to stop saying that racist bulls**t birther s**t," Legend told N.Y. Magazine. "Quote me please. He should be ashamed of himself. It's awful, really."

Tell us how you really feel ... both of you guys.

Trump said on GMA and The View that Obama's purportedly cloudy childhood fills him with doubt. He then produced his own birth certificate to prove a point.

Legend isn't the first star upset over this. Bill Cosby said on Today that "the only thing he's running is his mouth," and Bill O'Reilly even called Trump out.

What do you think of Legend's comments? Is Trump racist for questioning Obama's birth certificate, or is he just raising a sensitive, but important point?

It's come to this: Bill O'Reilly is the voice of reason.

On that host's Fox News talk show last night, the journalist called out Donald Trump for pushing the absurd notion that Barack Obama was born outside the United States.

Referring to multiple announcements in Honolulu papers that documented Obama's birth, O'Reilly quipped to his guest: "What is he, the Baby Jesus? There was a sophisticated conspiracy to smuggle this baby back into the country?"

O'Reilly went on to doubt that Trump could possibly believe such nonsense, challenging the supposed Presidential candidate for just trying to be "provocative" and remain in the news. Watch the exchange here:

Absurd as it is that we're even talking about this, Donald Trump confirmed this week that he is, in fact an American citizen, with the documentation to prove it.

This hilarious/sad saga began last week with Trump bloviating at length on The View about President Obama's birth certificate and why he hasn't produced it.

To further his alleged point (that Obama is hiding something), Trump released what he thought was his own birth certificate Monday ... only it wasn't.

The document Trump gave to a conservative website Monday turned out to be a mere "certificate of live birth," not an official birth certificate. Cue cries of hypocrisy.

One day later, Trump's team got their hands on his actual birth certificate, then used the miraculous revelation that Trump is a U.S. citizen to reiterate their "point."

"A 'birth certificate' and 'certificate of live birth' are in no way the same thing, even though in some cases they use some of the same words," a Trump staffer said.

"One officially confirms and records a newborn child’s identity and details of his or her birth, while the other only confirms that someone reported the birth of a child."

The mother of Charlie Sheen is taking serious issue with Donald Trump. Because that possible, moronic Presidential candidate recently revealed himself as a Birther? No.

Because he claimed to have warned Brooke Mueller's parents against their daughter marrying the former Two and a Half Men star.

In an email somehow obtained by Rupert Murdoch's The Daily, Janet Templeton Sheen - who has been married to Martin Sheen for nearly 50 years - goes off on Trump for referring to Charlie a "disaster."

What a Nut Job

"THE DONALD IS SPREADING SUCH VICIOUS LIES ABOUT CHARLIE. IS THERE ANY WAY TO STOP HIM?" Janet raged, going on about how Trump reportedly blames Sheen for Mueller's downfall:

"BROOKE...HAD BEEN TO 13 REHABS BEFORE MEETING CHARLIE. SHE DRANK AND DRUGGED DURING PREGNANCY AND HAD SUCH A PARTY GIRL REP BEFORE SHE MET HIM."

We knew he loved fame, money, himself, and bloviating about everything under the sun. But who knew Donald Trump was a complete buffoon?

Swaggering onto The View today to promote The Celebrity Apprentice, Trump, who's pondering a White House run, also brought up a political issue.

One that landed him in hot water with Whoopi Goldberg.

Of President Obama, who he thinks he can beat, Trump asks: “Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate? I want him to show his birth certificate!”

“There’s something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like,” said Trump, defying all intelligence (here's Obama's birth certificate, idiot).

He pointed to Elisabeth Hasselbeck and said, “Look, she’s smiling!” She was, perhaps because she anticipated Whoopi's reply, which was:

“Donald, I think that’s the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages! It’s not because he’s black, is it?” Trump denied that it was, but ...

“Because I’ve never heard a white president being asked to show his birth certificate. That’s B.S.” said Goldberg vehemently, and truthfully.

Trump admitted that Obama "probably" is a citizen but insists he should prove it because "no one" remembers him from when he was a kid. Really.

What do you think? Is Obama a natural-born U.S. citizen?

Donald Trump recently took a $2 million pounding for charity. But The Situation, one of the people who roasted The Donald, was really the joke of the night.

Talk about grenades. That's pretty much what the Jersey Shore star offered up to the audience at the Comedy Central event. The guy flat-out bombed.

If you haven't seen it, it's worse than you think. The silence, the boos, the look on Ice-T's face, the Donald looking dumbfounded at how unfunny he is ...

Comedy at its best, albeit of the unintentional variety. Watch now:

Raising money for a good cause? Showing he can take a joke? Preparing for the rigors of a 2012 presidential run? Maybe a little of all of the above?

Whatever the motivation, Donald Trump raised $2 million for charity in N.Y.C. last night by enduring an epic verbal pummeling on Comedy Central.

There's certainly no shortage of material with this character.

The roast of The Donald, hosted by Seth MacFarlane, was not an event he was stoked about at first, but he quickly volunteered when offered $2M.

Trump plans to donate the FULL amount to charity. The special airs March 15.

Jokes aside, the real estate mogul and Celebrity Apprentice creator is really mulling a run for the White House, sending an aide to Iowa this week.

What do you think about a possible Trump candidacy?

Billionaire real estate developer Donald Trump denies he is using talk about a run for the White House to generate publicity for Celebrity Apprentice.

Trump says his potential interest - he says he'll decide officially by June - is legit, and the reason for that is the same reason he leads a recent poll.

Among potential GOP candidates in 2012, Trump actually led many political figures in terms of being viewed favorably. Why is that? Let's ask him:

According to Trump, he's got business sense, and just as importantly, he's not afraid to call it like he sees it. The above interview does prove that.

An while he's not even running, he took issue with critics who say he's got no shot, criticizing the political culture and pretty much everything else.

One of Trump's top associates is gauging interest in Iowa as the mogul tests the waters. Trump says his representative was "swamped" in Iowa.

What do you think? Should Trump run?
