It was totally on last week between Devin Velez and Nicki Minaj.
First, the American Idol judge blasted Devin for his group performance on Wednesday.
Then, she and her fellow panelists did not save Velez when he was voted off a night later.
Finally, over the weekend, Minaj slammed the singer for whining about his elimination.
So... how does Devin feel about the judge now?
Devin Velez was eliminated from American Idol last week.
But the finalist hasn't exactly gone away quietly.
Following his ousting, Velez was asked about judge Nicki Minaj's harsh critique of his Wednesday night group performance, saying she "went crazy" and needed to "calm down" and added:
"She could have been upset because the night before she was wearing the same colored dress as Mariah.'"
Minaj did not take kindly to this biting comment, going off on Devin via Twitter in response.
On the American Idol Top 8 performance show last night, Janelle Arthur separated herself from the pack.
And so did Burnell Taylor, Devin Velez and Lazaro Arbos... but for a very different reason.
Taking the stage as a trio and covering the Motown classic "I Can't Help Myself," these three were met with rather harsh criticism from Nicki Minaj, who railed:
"I don't know what that was, but imma act like I ain't even seen it, or heard it! Imma thank God that all three of you already had your solo performances. Lazaro, you fell as flat as a pancake. Don't ever do that again. All three of y'all, go! GET OFF THE STAGE!"

The American Idol Top 8 took their act to Detroit this week, covering songs by artists who hail from the Motor City.
Did this variation on Motown Night pay off? For some, yes.

For others? Far less so, most notably Angie Miller, who failed to show the "fun crazy side" she promised prior to her failure to really rock out on "Shop Around."
And Lazaro Arbos, who attempted to cover Stevie Wonder and whose voice was simply not up to the challenge. Will it finally be time to say goodbye to Arbos tonight?

Yes, it was the annual Beatles songbook-themed night for Candice Glover, Burnell Taylor and our other Season 12 finalists.

The American Idol Top 10 gave it their all Wednesday with "Songs of the Idols," i.e. tracks used on the show by previous contestants or later released by winners.
Basically, hooray for Kelly Clarkson tributes!
It's hard to handicap a clear favorite right now, but as Randy Jackson put it, Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Kree Harrison look like they're in it to win it.
