Demi Lovato isn't saying much about her upcoming album, which will be released on September 20.

But Timbaland has revealed he's worked with the artist on at least one track, while OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder says he collaborated with Lovato on the single "Who's That?" and "Demi blew me out of the water vocally!"

Is Demi Lovato the next Kelly Clarkson? Yes, swears Ryan Tedder.

Added Tedder, gushing: "I had no idea how good her voice is. She's one of the best singers I've ever worked with. Literally, that good... I mean, she's a Kelly Clarkson-level vocalist. And Kelly has a set of pipes."

Jordin Sparks wants to make one thing clear: she finds Demi Lovato's latest single, "Skyscraper" to be "amazing."

The American Idol champion in no way wishes to imply otherwise. But while sitting in her New York City hotel room this week, Sparks recorded her own version of the track, putting with her own "spin" on it.

On September 20, Demi Lovato will release a new album, one she recently said will feature an R&B flavor.

Now, thanks to the beauty of Twitter, we have an even clearer idea of what the CD will sound like: Lovato has entered the recording studio with Timbaland, as the rapper/producer wrote following their first session together:

"Yo @ddlovato you killed dat song i gave u. I just pick 2 more for you from one of the producer out my camp @wizz_dumb for u to do 2morrow. (sic)"

Timbaland's younger brother, Sebastian Mosley, also chimed in: "Demi (@ddlovato) is killing it in the booth singing right now. Girl's got a serious voice on her."

We can't wait to hear what this pair comes up with for the album!

The single itself is already number-one on iTunes.

But what about the video?

Demi Lovato premiered the official music video for "Skyscraper" on E! last night, telling the network of the shoot: “There were so many things that represented my addictions and eating disorders and self-harm.. It was the toxicity took over my mind for so long, that oozed out of every pore that I had because I was suffering inside... I’m taking it off and walking on broken glass and powering through it."

Powerful stuff. See more of what Demi has to say about her struggles HERE and then watch below:

Well, that didn't take long.

Just hours after Demi Lovato debuted the single "Skyscraper" on Ryan Seacrest's radio program - and also touched on a number of personal issues - the track shot to number-one on iTunes. Tweeted the shocked star:

“WOW!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! WE DID IT!!!!!!!! #1 on iTUNES!!!!!!!! MY #LOVATICS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!! #SKYSCAPER”

Later in the day, the term “Congrats Demi” became a trend on Twitter, giving the singer something else to write about:

“AWW!! Congrats Demi is a TT?! THANK YOU!!! But this moment is for all of us to share… Love you all. Wow.”

Safe to say this is quite the impressive return to the music business for someone whose career was in question just a few months ago. Way to go, Demi!

Skies are crying, I am watching.
Catching teardrops in my hands.
Only silence, as it's ending, like we never had a chance.
Do you have to make me feel like there's nothing left of me?

So croons Demi Lovato in her first post-rehab single, "Skyscraper."

Demi has said the track symbolizes the "journey" she's undertaken since checking herself into a facility to deal with emotional issues, such as cutting, related to bipolarity. A new album is up next, though no release date has been announced.

The comeback of Demi Lovato is almost complete.

Following months away from the music scene, which included a rehab trip for bipolarity, the young singer will release her return single on Tuesday. It will air on the Ryan Seacrest radio show and Demi will call in to chat with the host about "Skyscraper."

What will the track sound like? We'll soon find out, but Lovato had this to say a year ago:

"I'm now just taking that next step and learning how to make my music more radio-friendly but also stay very artistic, and for me that's R&B. I can put my vocal stylings on songs that are R&B and it showcases my vocals more than just singing really loud on a rock song."

Demi wants her new album to empower fans and says a video has already been shot for it. We can't wait!

Demi Lovato continues to make strides.

The troubled singer, who spent weeks in rehab for Bipolar Disorder-related issues, has returned to where she most belongs: inside the music studio.

In an interview with Seventeen this week, Lovato gave fans an idea of where her career stands. Will we be seeing a new album from her any time soon? Yes.

Demi Lovato on Stage

We can't wait to see Demi Lovato back on stage.

"I’m hoping to provide inspiration for girls everywhere who are going through the same issues I’ve faced. I think this will come through in a lot of the material,” Demi said of the CD.“My first single is really special to me - to me it symbolizes my journey from the person I was to the happy healthy person I am today, and the fact that people are able to rise above anything, despite the odds.”
