The Jonas Brothers aren't the only young stars receiving their own TV show this year.
Demi Lovato is set to take center stage on new Disney Channel sitcom Sonny with a Chance.
The series will focus on the singer in the role of Sonny Munroe, as she moves from the Midwest to California in order to star on her favorite sketch comedy show.
Sonny with a Chance debuts on February 8 and also stars Sterling Knight, Tiffany Thornton and Brandon Smith. Check out a preview for it now:

You really had to watch this group ring in 2009 together in order to truly grasp how awkward it was for everyone involved. Swift turned to the crowd for the duration of the celebration, pretending to wave to fans - but likely contemplating how many bones would break if she jumped.
Mocking celebrities and the absurdity of Hollywood in good with us, and the amazing Demi Lovato does it admirably - and while rocking out moderately hard! - in her new music video for "LaLa Land." Don't you just heart the Disney star?

The young actress recently spoke to Seventeen about her adorable best buds. Here's what she had to say about these sexy siblings, as well as another famous friend:
On smooching any of The Jonas Brothers: "I've never kissed a Jonas brother, period. That would be kind of weird. Even in Camp Rock, Joe and I never kissed."
On her relationship with the singing trio: "We're all friends. They've become like brothers to me. I even put on my glasses and wear sweatpants around them because you wouldn't put makeup on for just your brothers."
On Selena Gomez: "I can totally go to her with any problem and she will not judge me, no matter what. I can trust her with anything, and she can trust me. We'll definitely take each others' secrets to the grave."
Why are kids so mean?
It's a question that Demi Lovato and Ellen DeGeneres tackle later today, when the former appears on the latter's talk show. During the taping, the Disney singer/actress opened up about how much bullying she endured in 7th grade; so much so that home-schooling became a necessity.
"I never really understood why [I was being bullied] until looking back," Lovato said, eventually realizing that her choice to become an actress made her a target "I had a different lifestyle then everyone else."
Demi Lovato has at least gotten the last laugh on those that use to bully her in school.
The Camp Rock star is now planning to use her celebrity in order to assist others.
"I want to help with bullying," she said. "Because there are girls who can't just up and home-school and focus on their career."
Demi Lovato is making it difficult for us to play up her feud with Miley Cyrus.
When asked by Entertainment Weekly about her rivalry with Disney's top star - highlighted by a YouTube video in which Cyrus and BFF Mandy Jiroux appeared to mock Demi and Selena Gomez - Lovato took the proverbial high road on the issue.
"I really don't know Miley that well. We didn't take offense or think it was a negative or a positive. It was just like, Okay, cool, Hannah Montana knows who I am!'' Lovato said, adding that the singers even spoke backstage at a recent Disney concert. ''She gave me advice on publicity and making it big, and she was like, 'I hope you're very successful.'"
As for her future, Demi Lovato has grand plans:
''I'm not even thinking about five years. But hopefully I'll still be touring and doing my TV show; obviously I'll continue that. I want to start doing movies, like feature films. And I would love to maybe direct one day.''

Big news today for Demi Lovato fans:
First, the young singer/actress is schedued to star in hew own Disney Channel series. Based on an interview Lovato gave to Spanish magazine Para Todos, the show will reportedly be called Sonny With A Chance.
“It’s about a girl named Sonny having a chance to make it in [show] business,” said the Camp Rock star. “We filmed the first episode and we will continue to film the series through the next few months.”
Look for Sonny With a Chance to debut in February or March 2009.
