Demi Lovato will cap her comeback year in grand fashion:

The singer has been tapped to co-host MTV's NYE in NYC 2012, its annual, televised New Year's Eve celebration. She'll MC the festivities along with Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey.

The event gets underway at 11 p.m. EST on December 31 and while Lovato and Posey count down the moments until midnight, they will introduce performances by Selena Gomez, Mac Miller, J. Cole and Jason Derülo. Demi is also expected to bust out with a song.

Billed by the network as the "ultimate dance party," MTV will beam out this special from its Times Square studio, directly above the millions expected to gather in New York City for the famous ball drop.

Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson took to the stage as a pair last night at Z100's annual Jingle Ball concert in Madison Square Garden and delivered a heartfelt musical message to fans:

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

Could Demi match the first-ever American Idol note-for-note? Of course not. But who out there can?!? Sit back and let these two artist serenade you with a holiday classic now:

Demi Lovato has a message for her fans: "Sometimes you just gotta have a little bit of..." she Tweeted last night, followed by a picture of her latest tattoo:

The "faith" insignia is just the latest ink donned by this young singer. She also has a feather behind her ear; the words "Stay" and "Strong" on her wrists; and the phrase "You make me beautiful" on her side, along with a cross on her hand.

Last week, Demi stopped by the same treatment center where she resided for a few weeks in 2010. She offered inspiring words and prayers to the troubled women there.

Demi Lovato came full circle over the weekend.

A year after spending the 2010 holiday season at Timberline Knolls, the residential treatment center that helped the singer deal with issues stemming from her bipolarity, Lovato returned to the facility as a guest speaker on Sunday.

"Wow what an inspiring day... Many tears were shed and many memories were brought back," Demi Tweeted, adding that she was "honored" to speak with "beautiful women fighting their inner demons" throughout the afternoon.

Lovato - who performed Saturday night at Chicago's Rosemont Theatre, as shown above - concluded her message with:

"Please say a prayer for all of those struggling with eating disorders, self harm, mood disorders, and substance abuse."

By many accounts, Demi Lovato is dating Wilmer Valderrama. But in the January issue of Glamour, the singer doesn't mention that older actor by name.

She does, however, respond to a question about her love life in general, going into detail about what she's seeking in a boyfriend.

“Someone who’s not only supportive in my career but also in my [emotional] recovery. It’s a big responsibility dating me. Because I come with a little bit of baggage, you know? I’m completely open. I’m honest about the journey I’ve been on, so I definitely don’t take dating lightly anymore. And they have to make me laugh!”

That journey, sadly, has included years of cutting. Lovato says she reminds herself of those low points via tattoos on each wrist.

“I think scars are like battle wounds - beautiful, in a way. They show what you’ve been through and how strong you are for coming out of it. My tattoos say “Stay strong.” “Stay on one [wrist] and “strong” on the other. Now I’m able to look at them and be thankful for being alive. I think that I’ve been blessed over the past year to be able to start over.”

Demi Lovato is a true professional.

The young singer suffered through an embarrassing incident during a concert in Kansas City last week, but she powered straight through with her performance anyway!

Watch below, around the 47-second mark, as Demi undertakes a dance move that results - oops! - in the loss of a hair extension:

Lovato had no such incident with the written word this month, penning a column for Seventeen that outlined all she's thankful for. It's a moving read. We're glad she's on the right path.

Last year at this time, Demi Lovato was in treatment for a number of personal issues.

Therefore, following a 2011 that has seen the singer re-establish herself professionally and recover personally, Lovato has plenty to be thankful for this holiday season.

A Kiss from Demi Lovato

"I could not have done this without God and the amazing support from my family," Demi writes in her monthly Seventeen column. "They have stuck by me through everything and love me just the way that I am. That is a wonderful feeling to know that people accept the real you."

Lovato is currently on tour, promoting the album "Unbreakable" (watch her rendition of "Moves Like Jagger" HERE!), and says she's "thankful for my life path, including the highs and the lows, because it has caused my true self to shine through," adding:

"Going to treatment was a gift and I believe it saved my life. I learned how to be strong and healthy even through struggles. It also helped me open up about my issues and share them with others. Knowing that my family, friends and fans accept me for who I am is the greatest feeling ever!"

Amen, Demi. We wish you continued health and happiness.

Demi Lovato revved up her Unbroken tour in the Motor City last night.

The 19-year old superstar entertained fans in Detroit with a number of her own hits and a couple of covers. We especially liked her version of the Adam Levine/Christina Aguilera collaboration, "Moves Like Jagger."

Take a listen and take a look now and chime in: Might this be better than the original?

Shakira was honored at last night's Latin Grammy Awards as the 2011 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, referring to the title as the "most important recognition I've received."

But Demi Lovato was the talk of the event.

The 19-year old singer, who temporarily dyed her hair red earlier in the week, walked the red carpet in a VERY revealing dress, one whose top plunged down to her navel. Take a look at the fashion choice from a couple angles below:

Lovato also took to the stage alongside Pablo Alboran and sang a Spanish single titled "Solamente tu." Check out that performance HERE and vote on her dress now:

Therefore, a couple weeks after rumors first surfaced that Demi Lovato was hooking up again with Wilmer Valderrama, an actor 12 years her senior, Stodden has come out and expressed her support for Team Dilmer.
