Say farewell to Demi Lovato, fans. You might not be seeing her for awhile. In the Twitterverse, that is.

The singer has taken a break from the social networking service, posting two messages last night, the first of which was a mysterious reference that likely led to the second:

Demi Tweets

Lovato made news a couple weeks ago when she addressed recent struggles and actually took issue with God in a series of Tweets.

Since then, she's reportedly split with Wilmer Valderrama and struggled through a People's Choice Awards performance. So maybe it's a good call for Demi to relax a bit, take some time to herself and recharge.

As always, we wish her the best.

Did you know that there are over two million homeless teenagers in America? That's the bad news.

But here is some encouraging news: there's something you can do about it.

Demi Lovato is one of a number of celebrities (Kristen Bell, Julianne Hough) taking part in the Teen for Jeans campaign, which asks people to drop off used jeans at their local Aeropostale to be donated to shelters in your community.

In exchange, the school that donates the most pairs will receive $5,000 and Aeropostale pants for every single student! Seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it?

Vanessa Hudgens introduced Demi Lovato at the People's Choice Awards last night, prior to the singing coming out and underwhelming us with a performance of "Give Your Heart a Break."

So it's only appropriate that these two are linked here, in the latest edition of a THG Fashion Face-Off.

Both stars chose a dress for the event that highlighted a certain section of their bodies; for Demi it was the chest region; for Vanessa, the back. Do you prefer one style over another? Did Lovato go too far with her cleavage accentuation? Which look do you like best? Decide now.

We adore Demi Lovato. That must be stated up front.

She's our readers' choice for Celebrity of 2011, after all, and we're thrilled she took home one of the biggest People's Choice Awards last night, Favorite Pop Artist.

But the young star's performance of "Give Your Heart a Break" simply wasn't her finest moment, from the wild hair extensions to the mullet-like dress to the notes that simply weren't carried very well. Hey, we all have off nights.

If mysterious Tweets and anonymous sources are to be believed, the fling between Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama has come to an end.

Quoting Marilyn Monroe, the 19-year old wrote on her social networking page last night: "A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left," following those words of wisdom later with:

"The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man."

Although never confirmed by either party, rumors of a a relationship between Lovato and Valderrama swept the Internet in early 2011. They were then spotted at a party in October looking VERY cozy together and have dated here and there since Demi's got out of rehab.

But it is, indeed, over an insider tells Us Weekly, simply saying the two ""are no longer hooking up."

Valderrama once told told Howard Stern that he took Mandy Moore's virginity and that Ashlee Simpson was "a screamer." He also dated Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Demi Lovato has had a difficult year, and in the latest issue of Seventeen she opens up about all the people who have been there for her: Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus.

Notice one name missing from that list? God.

Demi Lovato on New Year's Eve

Indeed, the singer sort of went off on The Big Guy Upstairs yesterday, Tweeting:

“Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him... But there’s never a doubt in my mind He’s gonna pull me through it all. I know you’re there God. But umm... Really dude? He never fails to show me He’s by my side though. Even in the tough times. #Godstuff”

Demi isn't the first young star to openly bring up her faith, as Justin Bieber got a new tattoo this week of Jesus Christ.

Lovato later added, though, that she is not religious, but "VERY spiritual and I DO believe in God. I’m not perfect or preaching! Just tweeting..." and finally concluded the mini-rant on a positive, Nemo-related note:

Just keep swimming.

Demi Lovato battled Miley Cyrus in the championship of THG's Celebrity of 2011 Tournament, narrowly edging the singer/actress by .2% of the vote.

In the latest issue of Seventeen, meanwhile, Demi says our readers came up with the perfect title-round matchup, considering she and her fellow young star have always had a friendly, contentious relationship.

"Miley and I are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it's brutal and we're like, 'We're never going to be friends again!'" Lovato tells the magazine. "Then two days later, we're like, 'I love you and I miss you!'"

Aside from Cyrus, Demi opened up to the publication about other famous friends and how they reacted to her tumultuous year, which was lowlighted by a trip to rehab.

SELENA GOMEZ and her "never" fight, Lovato says: "She's not a confrontational person at all. Both [she and Miley] will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we've been through so much together."

TAYLOR SWIFT "Tweeted 'Pray for Demi,' which I thought was really awesome of her."

KIM KARDASHIAN called Lovato and "was there for me when not many people were. I could count on my hands how many people were there for me. So the people who were, I didn't forget it."
