This is pretty hilarious.

During a recent visit to New York City, Demi Lovato was driving around and shouting at fans to buy her new album… when she spotted movie star Ben Stiller and screamed the very same message to him.

"It's out now," she told the actor. "It'll give you a heart attack."

Lovato then ducked her head back inside the window, cracked up and even let out a curse in delight. It's pretty funny. Watch now:

Demi Lovato is a busy young woman.

She is set to release a new album. She will judge The X Factor this fall. She considers herself a role model for troubled teenagers.

But the singer found time to talk with both MTV and Jimmy Fallon this week, first detailing her friendship with Selena Gomez in a chat with the former.

"We've been through a lot together," she said. "We've had periods of times when we grew apart, and we just didn't really talk."

"But now we're in a place where we realize that life is so short, and that when you have people in your life that love you so much, then you should just always be around them… she has a great soul, she's talented, she's beautiful and she will always be really, really close to my heart."

She has a new hair color and now a new tattoo.

Demi Lovato Tweeted some fresh ink to followers yesterday, showing off an over-the-shoulder tattoo that readers "now I'm a warrior."

Lovato, it's safe to assume, is referencing the many struggles she overcame (namely rehab for an eating disorder and other mental issues) to arrive where she is now.

And where is she now? On board as an X Factor judge and about to come out with a new album. That's some serious warrior stuff right there!

Demi Lovato says she had fewer friends - a lot fewer - after rehab than before.

And that, The X Factor judge reflects, was the biggest wake up call of all.

In an interview with Company magazine, Demi recalled losing a number of friends when she sought help for for various issues, and how that made her feel.

"A couple of months before I went to rehab, I had a birthday party and there were a few hundred people there," she said. "People I considered my closest friends."

"When I turned my phone on after being in rehab for three months, I expected lots of text messages and phone calls. I had four texts. That was a wake-up call."

A makeup free Demi Lovato is once again reaching out to her fans.

The young singer is featured in the latest issue of People (the one that names Gwyneth Paltrow the World's Most Beautiful Woman), taking part in the magazine's Not a Drop of Makeup section.

Along with Olivia Munn, Jordana Brewster, Kelly Rowland, Morena Baccarin and Famke Jannsen, Lovato poses without lip gloss or a hint of mascara inside the publication.

Demi Lovato sat down this morning with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan and once again sent an incredibly positive message to her legion of fans.

A few days after encouraging young women to be brave, and releasing the official music video for "Heart Attack," the 20-year-old told the hosts that past troubles enable her to see "the world from a different perspective."

That's what makes her a solid X Factor judge - and role model.
