Dayana Mendoza was named Miss Universe 2008. The Miss Venezuela champion is 22 years old, stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and has green eyes. Oh yeah: she was also once kidnapped in her homeland.

"When I go back to Venezuela I will jump on my family and they will jump on me," said Mendoza following her universal victory.
