Chris Christie stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman last night, and fat jokes about the New Jersey Governor were flying left and right.

For a change of pace, Christie was the one making them this time.

Typically a good sport about his weight, Christie began by taking out a doughnut and starting to eat it just moments into his interview with Letterman.

"I didn't know this was going to be this long," he deadpanned.

The Kim Kardashian Pregnant and Special and In Need of Extra Attention Tour continued last night, with the reality star and her sister stopping by The Late Show with David Letterman.

And Kim actually showed a bit of sass during the interview, telling the host he can no longer make jokes about her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries... because it's actually been a year-and-a-half now!

Considering the two aren't actually divorced, that is.

Watch Kim talk about the baller now, while Kourtney Kardashian gets in the best dig of all: If Kim were going to marry for publicity, wouldn't "she pick someone that people knew?"

Jennifer Lawrence appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night and discussed a variety of topics, most notably a photo that's been making the rounds.

Is it her ass or someone else's? The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook beauty says she has no problem admitting she's un-photogenic, but come ON.

Watch the 22-year-old star hilariously discuss her love for celebrity gossip magazines and a very, very unflattering photo of her backside she found in one:

Dave and Jen also discussed her "I Beat Meryl" Golden Globe speech, their mutual disdain for all things Twitter, and how she got so good at acting.

One-time quasi-adversaries Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman sat down for a wide ranging interview on Oprah's Next Chapter last night. On the docket:

Dave's affair and telling wife Regina Lasko about it; Letterman's battle with depression and threshold for embarrassment; His thoughts on rival Jay Leno.

Oprah didn't shy away from asking tough questions. Ditto Dave answering them, including the sex scandal of 2009 that nearly ended his marriage.

After a producer for CBS’s 48 Hours threatened to write a screenplay about the host’s infidelities unless Letterman paid him $2 million, he went to the police.

A message for the Parents Television Council: if you are waiting for an apology from Kathy Griffin for simulating oral sex on national TV this week... you may be waiting for a long time.

The comedian appeared last night on The Late Show with David Letterman and addressed the controversy that stemmed from her visit to Anderson Cooper's private parts on New Year's Eve.

"If you think this is the part where I'm going to apologize for trying to go down on Anderson Cooper, you are sorely mistaken," Griffin says in the following video. "I tried, ladies and gays. I tried for you."

The PTC has come out and slammed Griffin and CNN for the gesture. Do you think she ought to make an apology?

Where do you stand? Kathy Griffin pretending to go down on Anderson Cooper was...

David Letterman thinks Jay Leno is an absolutely hilarious dude.

Yes, there's a huge BUT coming at the end of that statement.

Jay and Dave

In a sit down interview on Oprah: The Next Chapter, Dave discusses with longtime frenemy Winfrey his history with and feelings about Leno candidly.

"We were always friends before all of this happened," Letterman says in a preview clip of their interview airing January 6, referring to the Conan debacle.

"He's an unusual fellow. I've never met anyone quite like Jay. And I will say - I'm happy to say - that I think he is the funniest guy I've ever known."

David Letterman struck an uncharacteristically somber note Monday night, addressing the Newtown, Connecticut shooting for nearly seven minutes.

Returning from commercial, the comedian, looking visibly saddened, noted the beauty of the Christmas decorations on CBS' Late Show set.

He then touched upon the senseless massacre of 26 people - including 20 children - at Sandy Hook Elementary School, saying, "It makes me so sad."

"The lights ... they're really for kids. You think about this horrifying circumstance. What part of that do you think about that's going to make any difference?"

Hurricane Sandy has left millions without electricity, while tragically resulting in the deaths of at least 85 people.

Those are the real stories of this storm system, of course.

But we're a celebrity gossip blog and our job remains to bring readers up to speed on the entertainment world, which means we must make mentions of how David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon responded to the torrential rain and winds:

By hosting audience-free shows! Pretty weird to watch the hosts cracking jokes with no one in attendance, as you can see here with Letterman:

David Letterman (jokingly, mostly, maybe, sort of) predicted that Mitt Romney will lose this year's presidential election due to his snub of The Late Show.

Last week, Dave urged voters to vote against Mitt unless he came on the program. With Romney still reluctant to do so, Letterman now predicts his defeat.

A bunch of celebrities want you to Vote 4 Stuff.

David Letterman wants to make sure you don't vote for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, unless he appears on The Late Show before November 6.

Friday, Letterman couldn't help but notice that election season is rapidly coming to a close, and that Romney hasn't responded to invitations to come on the CBS telecast.

President Obama appeared on Letterman in September.
