A private pathologist hired by David Carradine's family to perform a second autopsy has determined that the 72-year-old actor died of asphyxiation.

How he came to asphyxiate in Thailand is still anyone's guess, but that seems to be the conclusion as to how the Kill Bill star met his end in June.

A maid found Carradine hanging in the closet of his Bangkok hotel room, and it was soon confirmed by various officials that a rope was tied to his neck and genitals, prompting speculation that the star was engaged in auto-erotic asphyxiation.

But he did not kill himself, according to the report.

Judging by the way Carradine was bound with his hands above his head, Dr. Michael Baden concluded that he did not take his own life and requested security footage in addition to pass-key data from his hotel to further probe the death.

Specifically, to find out whether or not someone was in the room with the actor when he died. Stressing that these were still only preliminary findings, Baden said that his full report will not be ready for at least a week if not more.

At least one shocking death photo of Carradine has allegedly been run by a Thai newspaper, but no U.S. tabloids have reprinted it in the month since his passing.

The details behind David Carradine's mysterious death in Thailand are still unknown, but we can now report with certainty:

The actor did not kill himself.

In a statement issued today, brothers Keith and Robert Carradine announced that Dr. Michael Baden, an expert in forensics hired to perform a second autopsy on the actor, determined that their sibling did not commit suicide.

"The autopsy findings and the evidence thus far available demonstrate that Mr. Carradine's death was not the result of suicide," Baden said.

"First of all, we would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt expressions of love and sympathy for what we are going through," said Keith Carradine, as his sibling added:

"Until we have all of the pending results of the investigation we respectfully ask that we be allowed to lay our beloved brother, husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather to rest in peace and with dignity."

Sadly, David Carradine still cannot rest in peace.

New information has been released related to the photos of the actor's body printed in a pathetic Thai newspaper.

According to ABC News, these shots depict the actor wearing fishnet stockings a and a wig.

The images also show the Carradine hanging from a bar in the closet of his Bangkok hotel room; what appears to be red women's lingerie is sitting on a nearby bed.

The Kill Bill star's remains are due to arrive in Los Angeles this week, while forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden is scheduled to conduct an investigation into the cause of death.

"Baden is one of the most experienced forensic pathologists in the world. If there's something suspicious, he'll find it," said friend Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, chairman of the Department of Forensic Sciences at John Jay College of Criminal Justice..

As the investigation into the death of David Carradine continues, more details are leaking out about the late actor.

Following news that he was found with various body parts tied together - fueling speculation that his death may have been the result of an auto-erotic experience gone awry - Carradine's third ex-wife, Gail Jensen, has gone on record with claims that the actor would spend days planning elaborate sexual devices.

In an interview with Patricia Towle over the weekend, Jensen said:

"David was pretty strange. He would like to get tied up. He would tie himself up and I would walk in and see him and say 'Oh my God, David, you got to be kidding me - and I would (turn around and) walk out. I would leave him to his own devices."

Jensen added: "He liked to be tied up. And he could tie himself up... He spent days planning a different feature. He would go to a hardware store and buy the stuff."

She and the actor divorced in 1997.

While this isn't at the level of actually publishing Carradine's death photo, it shows a lack of respect for the late actor for Jensen to publicly expound on his sexual appetites.

As if they weren't dealing with enough in the wake of his tragic death, the family of David Carradine is now "profoundly disturbed" by the publication of a photo that appears to be Carradine hanging in his Bangkok hotel room.

The shocking photo - which Thai police believe was taken by the forensics team - appeared on the cover of a Thai celebrity gossip tabloid called Thai Rath.

The photo shows a naked body, presumably that of David Carradine, suspended from a bar in a closet, with his hands apparently bound together above his head.

The paper did not identify the source of the image.

The suspicious death of David Carradine (1936-2009) remains shrouded in mystery, with an alleged photo of the actor's hanging marking the latest development.

The photo has yet to be published by any additional tabloids or websites.

Thai police have since said that accidental suffocation may be the cause of the actor's death after they discovered a rope around Carradine's genitals.

Tattoos on the lower half of his nude body can be seen.

Sources close to the actor told Radar Online that he had a history of engaging in auto-erotic asphyxiation, a sexual practice often involving a rope around the neck.

In response to the image, Carradine's brother Keith released a statement that says:

"The family of David Carradine wants it understood that, per attorney Mark Geragos, any persons, publications or media outlets will be fully prosecuted for invasion of privacy and causing severe emotional distress if the photos are published."

Earlier this week, actor David Carradine was found dead by a Bangkok hotel maid.

The Kill Bill star was discovered with a rope tied around his neck and his genitals. While Carradine's rep referred to the tragedy as an "accidental death," new reports are casting suspicion around the incident.

According to Chuck Binder, the star's manager, via TMZ, Carradine was found with his hands tied behind his back, making it difficult for one to hang oneself, or even for a mere accident to be blamed for the death.

Moreover, the hotel in which Carradine was found has been slow to release surveillence tapes from the day in question. We'll have more on this shady story as it develops.
