Danny Noriega advanced to Hollywood during the sixth season of American Idol. He does even better during year seven of the show: Noriega...

While we'd be surprised if a Kristin Davis sex tape exists, we can't say the following new friendship is the least bit shocking:

American Idol reject Danny Noriega and The View reject Rosie O'Donnell are getting along like peanut butter and jelly these days.

After the former was voted off Idol, the latter invited him to sing aboard her "R Family Vacations" cruise. As you can see, Noriega accepted the offer, as he and Rosie are making for quite the annoying pair.

Meanwhile, American Idol airs tonight. It's not hard to imagine Noriega and O'Donnell watching together, doing each other's hair and making fun of Simon Cowell.

Danny Noriega was an unusual American Idol contestant who held controversial views (i.e. a video in which he wished Santa Claus would violate all mothers).

Rosie O'Donnell was an unusual host of The View who held controversial views (i.e. 9/11 was an American conspiracy).

Therefore, it only makes sense that the latter would offer a job to the former.

O'Donnell has stated - on her lame, immature blog - that she'd love for Noriega to sing on her R Family Cruise to Mexico next week.

"I think you're fantastic. And I think you're a bold and brave and beautiful young man. And I admire you, Danny Noriega. You have an amazing voice. And your hair looks good straight," Rosie said.

We're slightly frightened by Danny Noriega.

The singer was eliminated from American Idol last night and, based on the following video and the one we posted earlier in the week that involves Norgea wishing serious harm on your mother, who knows how he'll react to this ousting.

Farewell, Casey

Be very afraid...

Another hour, another American Idol scandal.

Already today, we've covered the David Hernandez gay stripper story, while also publishing another racy photo of season seven contestant Ramiele Malubay.

Go, Didi!

But we've saved the crudest American Idol semifinalist story for last: in the clip below, taped a couple years ago, Danny Noriega wishes everyone anything but a merry Christmas.

We have no idea what the cause of Noriega's angst, but we do know this: if the troubled singer had his way, everyone would have a major problem with Santa Claus. Here's why...

After last night's weird rendition of "Jailhouse Rock," we may not be seeing Danny Noriega on American Idol for much longer. Along with Garrett Haley and Jason Yeager, he's a favorite to be voted off tomorrow.

We're not sure yet about the chances of Ramiele Malubay on the show, as she joins the other 11 season seven semifinalists for ladies' night this evening.

Regardless of how Ramiele Malubay performs, though, she and Danny Noriega will have something in common: their looks!

Compare these American Idol contestants now:

The resemblance is not at all canny. Last night, Ryan Seacrest also told Robbie Carrico that he resembles Justin Timberlake. What do you think?

Last night's American Idol was billed as the "best of the rest." So we expected a handful of solid singers, many of whom would move on to Hollywood and even a few that have already been named as part of this season's final 24, according to our American Idol spoilers.

We weren't disappointed.

A quartet of contestants that auditioned last night are rumored to make it far this season. We've highlighted a pair below:

Danny Noriega: This talent advanced to Hollywood last season, but was never heard from again. He hopes to be singing a different tune this year... literally! Danny admitted that nerves were his worst enemy a season ago, so check out his audition now to see if he's conquered those skittish demons:

Amy Davis: Might she be this year's Antonella Barba? No, not because we've heard anything about Davis' oral skills outside of singing, but because she's a certified hottie! The former Nashville Star contestant can carry a tune, we guess, but her past modeling photos have us too distracted to tell.

Also advancing to Hollywood after last night: Chikezie Eze and Joanne Borgella.
