Well, I for one am so very heartened to read all of these kind things about Ms. Bowersox. Her talent is truly a gift from God.

I know your heart's in the right place as far as wanting to do what you believe is God's will. However, I would like to point out that Jesus refused to stone the adultress in the Bible, and when asked "why," Jesus said, "Let him who has not sinned cast the first stone." Moreover, his dearest friend, Mary Magdelene, was reported to have been a prostitute. And finally, remember the lady at the well that Jesus asked for a drink from? SO many instances in the Bible my friend.

Excuse me Benitta but our Lord Jesus doesn’t preach hate and judgement. He preaches LOVE and compasion. My advise to you is to walk, no run away from that reverend and his church that has brain washed you. Again I ask in the Lords name that he forgives you of your trespasses. Bye the way, spreading hate and judgment on others is a trespass in case you didn’t know. The Bible speaks of spreading the good news not your hate and judgements. Leave that up to HIM.

I too am a christian and I have a child out of wedlock..does that mean me and my daughter are going to HELL?? Does that mean I am TRASH?!? I think not! I think that GOD has forgiven me of my sins when i was younger and since I have turned my life to GOD, he going to bless me and my children the best way he can. This experience for crystal has been her blessing from GOD! I am soo happy that she and her baby get to have the life that you only dreamed about having. Crystal was indeed the winner last night. Something needs to be done about those who are voting for a contestant because they are "hot" or "eye candy". America is not voting for talent here. If they did, Crystal would have won. No need to worry, Mamasox fans. She will do and be absolutely great. Just remember Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtrey, Adam Lambert---all voted off before their time but made it bigger than the actual winner.

Crystal does not need to change her image; her appeal is that she is who she is, and does not make apologies for being a little different. American Idol has given her the opportunity for exposure as an artist - she would never have fit into the Idol mould in the long run. Now, though, as runner-up, she can write her own ticket. There is a producer out there who will give her the chance to shine, I have no doubt. She certainly outshone everyone else in the competition. That Lee guy cannot even sing in tune half the time, and he has no connection with his audience or with life. Crystal was fantastic, and I will no longer honour the idiocy of the American public, who obviously do not know a musical artist when they hear one. No more Idol-watching for me.
Crystal, I will be the first Canadian to buy your first CD!

I think Crystal is wonderful! I agree, being runner-up probably isn't a bad thing. She has extreme talent adn I am anxious to see what she gives from a recording studio.

I am also a musician, traveled all over the world, heard the best and worse..this year Crystal was way ahead of everyone from the very first note! She is one of the best i have heard. I still believe in Chrystal and I know she will do well regardless of American Idol. It will be interesting to see the results of sales between Chrystal and Lee. Although he sings well, and he is cute, no doubt. Just like Doughtery who came in third has proven himself to be the most amazing Artist, Lambert's sold millions of Albums as second runner up. It will come down to sales that will determine the true winner. I believe without question that Chrystal will outshine Lee in record sales. She is already an International Star. I am proud to be a Chrystal Bowersox fan.

I've been a Mommasox fan from Day 1 but at the same time commend Lee for his progress as the show went on. My complaint is there are too many youngsters voting on the person rather than the talent. As for those that criticize Crystal..try living her life and see where it takes you. Not all are so fortunate to be born into wealth consequently..we have to make our own way..not an easy task while supporting a child! My very best wishes to Crystal..in all her future endeavors. I'll be waiting in line for her CD.

As a musician it seemed to me it was aforgone conclusion that Crystal had locked up the competition the minute I heard her. Of course the average layperson obviously doesn't appreciate a person's talent more than an image supported by a majority of female spectators (no offense Lee).
Fortunately Crystal has a phenomenally bright future. Her renditions are from the heart. That is a gift that many will never experience. She captivates with very little effort.
I can't wait for her first professional copy to be released.

She was the best since the very begining. This season was mediocre. A lot of mediocre singers. Crystal was the best by far. After her, Didi and Lee are good singers too.
But remember that from all American Idol seasons, just three winners had the best career of the group. And the there were women: Kelly, Carrie and Jordin.

it announced to the world that this show is just about what what teen-age girls like
this year i rooted for crystal, voted for crystal, hoped and hoped she would win
but no one in my hurray crystal group was shocked when yeah
another less talented but scruffy faced white boy won
i like lee, hes a cute rock dude
but honey in talent hes a 5 to crystal's 10
and everyone, every judge knew it
but i should just assume that who-over my 13 year old goddaughter votes for will win
and she thought that lee was cute
and there you have it
the cute guy wins
here's hoping crystal will ride a rocket ship to stardom

COME ON! Lee did not have a chance when it came to talent facing off with Crystal. Just because more votes came in for him does not put him up front when it actually comes time to perform, it will be better for Crystal since she will not be tied to American Idol contracts for the next year..She can have the freedom to go forward doing anything she wishes to do with her career, but Lee will be dictated to by the Idol contract..Crystal will be (and is) a star with tremendous talent. Lee is sweet and has talent but wil never measure up to Crystal..GO CRYSTAL!!!!!

So disappointed that Crystal didn't win, because she was brilliant in the final and consistently good throughout the season. She's truly beautiful - I love her round fair face and radiant smile - but more importantly she is an outstanding and very special performer. Still, no matter that she was runner-up, her career is assured, and she deserves lasting success.

Crystal is an outstanding performer and it is obvious she has not had an easy life. To those of you who criticize her looks and upbringing, don't be so pompous. Not everyone in the United States lives a privileged life. Try one day to give yourself four to five insulin shots a day to live. And the need to watch constantly what you eat and how much activity you have done to maintain your sugar levels so you don't end up in a coma or unconscious. It is unimaginable that she didn't always have insulin to maintain good sugar levels. Wishing her a great singing career.
