Still one of the Friends ... to Jennifer Aniston.

by Hilton Hater at

Jennifer Aniston will co-host Ellen today.

And in preparation for that gig, she stops by Matthew Perry's house in the following video to ask for advice from her former Friends co-star because he did the same a few weeks ago (and tried not to ogle Jennifer Love Hewitt in the process.)

But Jen really should have called first.

That way, she could have avoided an awkward run-in with Courteney Cox... and Portia de Rossi... and Ellen herself?!? You go, Matthew Perry! Just don't Go On, not anymore.

In response to David Arquette filing for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Courteney Cox has gone ahead and done the same.

The Cougar Town actress also cited "irreconcilable differences" in her petition and she also chose to represent herself, as these two continue to demonstrate that it is possible to remain civil and amicable in the face of a split.

Cox is seeking joint physical and legal custody of her daughter, Coco, who turned eight years old yesterday; and is also dropping "Arquette" from her name.

There's no mention of a prenuptial agreement in either Cox or Arquette's papers, meaning David may be entitled to have of his ex's fortune under California law. Thanks to the syndication of Friends, this would be a huge sum, as sources confirm Courteney is worth over $75 million.

They may still get along better than most couples, but David Arquette and Courteney Cox are officially out of the marriage game: the actor filed for divorce from the actress today.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Arquette cites "irreconcilable differences" as the basis for the twosome's split. They were wed exactly 13 years ago today and share an eight-year old daughter named Coco.

Cox and Arquette met on the set of the original Scream and rumors of their split first surfaced in October 2010 when the latter was accused of an affair and the stars released a statement saying: "The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

Arquette proceeded to embark on a series of wild weekends and eventually ended up in rehab in January 2011.

But Cox supported her husband throughout, going on record with how proud she was of David for seeking help.

Neither side has bashed the other in public once and Arquette is not seeking spousal or child support in the divorce proceedings.

David Arquette really brought out the big guns this week on Dancing With the Stars. His passion, energy and moves earned praise from the judges.

His tango to Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" earned a score of 25 and a tie for second Monday night. More importantly, it likely won over many fans.

The 40-year-old seemed to have a blast as he whipped partner Kym Johnson around the floor wearing a black and silver Grease-inspired costume.

Ex-wife Courteney Cox, daughter Coco and sister Patricia looked impressed:

Family members weren't the only ones supporting David this week. He also had the vocal support of a very unusual friend as well: Charlie Sheen.

The former Two and a Half Men train wreck weighed in with this Tweet:

"Support my buddy @DavidArquette tonight On Dancing With The Stars 1(800)868-3406 U can call 12x from each phone line thanks! Let's WIN this!"

Arquette responded: "@charliesheen Charlie thanks so much for the support pal! You're the best - you really are the man thanks. That's real."

Anybody see that bromance coming? Either way, it is indeed real.

In a new relationship with Christina McLarty, David Arquette says he's grateful estranged wife Courteney Cox has come out to support his efforts this season on Dancing with the Stars.

But the actor does want to make something clear: a reconciliation is unlikely to take place.

David Arquette on DWTS

"We're pretty much in the friend zone," Arquette told Access Hollywood Monday night. "Though we love each other and we love to laugh and have a great time, it's difficult."

Following a tough year that involved both a separation and a stint in rehab, the Scream star dedicated his "O-o-h Child" Rhumba this week to his daughter, Coco, explaining:

"The voice in the song is me speaking to my daughter... Life is about love and not giving into fear so to dance the dance of love is the perfect way to tell this story."

Were it not for Chaz Bono, much more attention would be paid to David Arquette's stint on Dancing With the Stars, given the up-and-down year he's had.

Between his depression over separating from Courteney Cox, his banging of Jasmine Waltz and so many TMI interviews, we were wondering what state he'd be in.

The answer: A much better one than we thought:

As he danced the Viennese Waltz to Queen's "Someone To Love," David looked euphoric as Courteney and their daughter Coco cheered him on.

He scored an 18, one better than Bono and four behind the lead.

David said when he asked Coco if he should do DWTS, the little girl replied, "initially my feeling is no but let me go to school and speak to my friend Ashley about it."

Good thing for everyone that Ashley consented.

"It's just so beautiful to see her and she's the light of my life and I'm just happy she's here and I love her so much," David said of Coco. Sniff.

Courteney Cox is continuing her super frank comments about David Arquette since their marriage ended, which she blames in part on his persistent bonage.

Her latest revelation? Thinking he had a gay men-seeking iPhone app.

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cox described a recent discovery that had her wondering whether Arquette might be harboring a pretty big secret.

As she was buying songs on iTunes, the Scream 4 actress was perusing the purchase history of the iTunes account she and Arquette used to share.

She noticed someone had downloaded a slew of self-help books by author Eckhart Tolle - plus the iPhone app Grindr, used by gay men to meet others.

Cox was taken aback, she said: "Wow, what if you don't know the person you've been with for that long? [I wondered] if David's been buying Grindr!"

Courteney Cox said in an interview yesterday that one of the reasons her marriage to David Arquette broke down was the actor's obsession with sex.

Hey, at least he was obsessed with having sex with her.

Cox told Howard Stern how Arquette got wood ALL the time, even in some really inopportune situations, such as when she was upset and needed consoling.

Really. Here's part of the interview where she said this:

Courteney Cox has handled her separation from David Arquette with impressive maturity, supporting the actor through tough times and admissions of sex with other women.

Which is why we were a bit surprised to hear Cox join Arquette for a raunchy, in-depth interview with Howard Stern Thursday afternoon. She was asked about her ex-husband's sexual appetite and said it actually contributed to their split.

"Whenever I would need consoling from David, he could not literally put his arm around me for one second without completely getting a boner," Cox said.

Arquette defended himself by saying on air: "I'm always ready for [Courteney]. I know I'm more in touch with what she needs now...She takes one sort of thing and she clumps it [and says] that's what happens all the time in our relationship. It's not really true."

Is there for a future for this couple? It does sound that way, as Cox insists she hasn't slept with anyone since they took a break and added:

"The truth of the matter is that we love each other so much. We have such affection for each other but we are very different."

Courteney Cox has not gotten the memo. She's a celebrity. She's supposed to split from her husband and then make headlines by bashing him in the press. Date someone else right away. Maybe make a sex tape.

Instead, Cox has said she has no plans for a social life and has continually defended her troubled ex, David Arquette.

She did so again this week during an interview with Extra.

After spending time with the recently-rehabbed actor in Malibu last week, Cox was asked about his recovery. Said the Cougar Town star:

"Oh my God, I'm so proud of him! Best he's ever looked! He's so cute that I'm like, dude, I don't understand. Really?! Why are you that cute right now?"
