Kanye West literally wrote the song about gold diggers, probably thanks to one-time girlfriend Amber Rose (a former stripper married to Wiz Khalifa).

Or maybe he wrote it with now-wife and baby mama Kim Kardashian in mind.

Or maybe he just spent a lot of time observing the comings and goings of other notorious celebrity gold diggers. Regardless, here's a tribute to them!

Kim Kardashian
Sure, she was rich in her own right, but she married the guy who wrote the song! We couldn't NOT include her!

Gold diggers come in all shapes, sizes and genders. Some of the ones on our list come to mind more quickly than others, but all are mining it hard.

In the time-honored, profound and compelling words of Alicia Keys, some people live for the fortune and some people live for the fame.

And in the words of 'Ye, "if you ain't no chump, holler WE WANT PRENUP!"

Truly, a mantra to live your life if ever there were one right there.

The countdown until the Magic Mike 2 premiere is on, as legions of fans of the original smash hit movie keep Channing all over their Tatums in anticipation.

Most Magic Mike fans know this was the semi-autobiographical story of Channing Tatum's days as a stripper. Well, he was far alone in that line of work:

Channing Tatum
"Magic Mike" wasn't the loosely autobiographical story of Channing Tatum for nothing! He got his start as a stripper.

No, Tatum's pole-dancing past isn't unique. Stripping is one way many of today's famous faces got their start, paying their bills prior to achieving fame.

Some of them went on to become Hollywood A-listers, and some of them went on to be, well, sort of crazy people who are famous for no discernible reason.

Check out 21 stars who used to be strippers above and see who falls into which category. Some of these former dancers may really surprise you, too.

And then there are stars who took it to another level. Yes, the celebrities who used to be porn stars ... those are surprising for even more obvious reasons:

Taylor Swift writes songs about her exes as frequently as some people change their underwear. Swift's "Shake It Off" is rumored to be about both former flames Jake Gyllenhaal AND Harry Styles.

Or it's just an anthem about rising above and shaking off the haters. Either way, that's Taylor's M.O., but she isn't the only scathing songwriter in the game.

She's joined by a veritable legion of singers and bands who've made it their great pleasure to respond to their critics, enemies, and exes via song.

I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift
Oh, Taylor Swift! You just can't NOT write songs about exes! "I Knew You Were Trouble" is very publicly about One Direction's Harry Styles.

And then there are the musicians whose songs aren't about heartbreak at all but are instead tributes meant to help a friend through a tough time.

Songs in which others also find solace, like "Fix You" by Coldplay, which Chris Martin wrote for Gwyneth Paltrow, and which brought comfort to many facing tough times.

We put together a playlist featuring 19 songs inspired by celebrities, some you know well and others you might not. Sit back, relax, and just push play!

Courtney Love may have been implicated in Kurt Cobain's death by none other than her own father, but she's never been charged with anything, and she was still his wife at the time of his death, which means Courtney controls (and profits from) Cobain's estate and the use of his likeness.

Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love

Sadly, it also means that when the inevitable Kurt Cobain biographical film gets made (you knew it was coming), Courtney will not only cash in big time, she'll also play a part in the creative process.

In fact, the film is currently in the very early stages of pre-production and Courtney is already exerting her will on producers.

By her own admission, Courtney has shoehorned her way into the casting process, which allows her to peruse an endless selection of "blonde, gorgeous 25-year-olds." No, really. She said that:

Courtney Love turns 50 next month, and while her life has been a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and highs and...more highs, somehow she's reached the half-decade mark looking no worse for wear.

In fact, the First Lady of Grunge somehow looks better than she has in years!

Courtney Love Swimsuit Photo

Love posted the above photo to Instagram yesterday and from the looks of it, decades of junkiedom...does a body good?

As for how it's possible that Love is in this good of a shape after the life she's lived, your guess is as good as ours.

Lindsay Lohan is about half her age, and she's already sagging in ways we never thought possible.

Just as unexpected as her trim figure is the strange resurgence in popularity Love has enjoyed in the past few weeks:

Frances Cobain wants Lana Del Rey to shut up, but the "Shades of Cool" singer apparently has no plans to stop making bizarre comments about the first family of grunge.

Last week, Lana wished she was dead so that she could be more like her idol Kurt Cobain.Today, she stated that she not only draws inspiration from Kurt's troubled widow Courtney Love, she also counts the former Hole singer among her closest friends.

"Courtney Love's a big inspiration," said Lana in a recent interview. "I like her. I talk to her a lot...I just went to her show when she was playing in London.

Well, if Lana is trying to make nice with Frances, buddying up with her estranged mom is probably the wrong way to go about it.

When '90s grunge and R&B collide ... you get an epically random but awesome selfie of Courtney Love and Mariah Carey, who hung out in Cannes, France.

The rock star, 49, and pop diva, 44, found time to gush over each other while attending the Clear Channel Media dinner at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.

"Love u @MariahCarey xxx," Courtney Love wrote via Instagram.

Carey retweeted the frame-worthy picture and replied: "x0x0."

Courtney Love, Mariah Carey

Wednesday, the Hole frontwoman was interviewed at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity during the Legends of Music Seminar event.

Carey, meanwhile, just released her new album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse ... and tried to pass off a Mariah Carey selfie from 1997 as a current shot.

No word on whether Love and Carey would ever collaborate musically, but that would be a can't-miss video on YouTube if ever there were one.

In the meantime, add them to our classic celebrity selfies gallery:

What's in a name? As it turns out, maybe everything.

Since Shakespeare first posited the question in Romeo and Juliet, actors have been using fake names to land professional roles. Not only did it allow them some semblance of privacy before the dawn of Wikipedia, but let's face it, some people just aren't born with great names.

Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor? Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta? Quite a mouthful.

If an actor or musician's entire career is dedicated to being someone else - a character or personality, perhaps - then a good stage name can go a long way to making that career explode.

More celebrities use pseudonyms than you might think. In fact, here are 67 stars who don't use their real names. Which ones did you know before viewing this gallery?

Lorde
Musical sensation Lorde was given the name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor at birth. We'd probably go with Lorde, too.

Yesterday, new evidence emerged from the scene of Kurt Cobain's suicide over 20 years ago.

Though the second Cobain suicide note offers little in the way of new insights into the case, it has re-opened the debate over whether the iconic singer's death was, in fact, a suicide.

One theorist who holds the belief that Courtney Love - Cobain's infamous wife - was involved in his death is none other than Love's father, Hank Harrison.

In an interview with Radar Online Harrison claimed today that he has evidence of Love's involvement in the murder of her husband.

"No doubt she was capable," Harrison says of his daughter. "I can't prove she pulled the trigger, but I can prove her involvement to a high degree of certainty."
