A couple days after releasing her first statement regarding the death of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele has been spotted out and about.

Cameras captured the Glee actress in the passenger seat of a friend's car, looking solemn and wearing a necklace with the name of her late boyfriend on it. Watch the following video for more on the sighting:

Michele and her colleagues attended their own private memorial for Monteith last week, while production is expected to begin any day on Glee Season 5.

The series will deal with Monteith's passing by killing off his character of Finn and by paying tribute to him on the third episode of the new season, which premieres September 26.

Lea Michele has spoken out publicly for the first time since Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose on July 13.

Having previously thanked fans for their support in a statement through her publicist, the Glee star took to Twitter today and once again addressed followers and loved ones, writing:

"Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart."

Michele also included the following image with her message:

Monteith has been cremated and Michele was joined by fellow cast members for a private memorial last Thursday.

Production on Glee Season 5, meanwhile, will soon get underway.

On Saturday, two days after the cast of Glee said goodbye to Cory Monteith at a private memorial, Mike O'Malley reflected on his late costar and frequent scene partner.

Appearing on a panel at the Television Critics Association press tour in promotion of his upcoming sitcom, Welcome to the Family, the 46-year old told reporters:

"I think that I had what was probably the toughest scene I’ve ever acted in my career as an actor opposite [Monteith] when I had to throw him [Finn] out of the house because of a slur that he used."

The cast of Glee paid final respects today to Cory Monteith.

The actor - who passed away from a drug overdose on July 13 - has been remembered via Instagram and via song by various former costars.

But Fox released a statement today that said cast and crew members came together for a private memorial.

“Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” the network said. “We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”

Prodution was pushed back a week in light of Monteith's passing and Glee Season 5 will now premiere on September 26.

And while the interview with the actress wouldn't have been headline-worthy a few weeks ago, the actress' words ring especially sad in light of Cory Monteith's drug overdose a few weeks ago.

Jenna Ushkowitz is the latest Glee cast member to address the death of Cory Monteith.

Over the weekend, Chord Overstreet dedicated a song to his late colleague, while Dianna Agron has expressed her remorse over the passing and Ryan Murphy has given us an idea of how his show will handle such a tragedy.

Chord Overstreet let his music do the emotional talking over the weekend.

The Glee star, who is yet to comment publicly on the death of Cory Monteith, played an unknown and unnamed acoustic song at The Roxy in Los Angeles, simply telling fans "This one is for you, Cory."

Late last week, Ryan Murphy revealed his show's plans to honor Monteith and the character of Finn on Glee Season 5, while Fox pushed the September premiere back a week.

Monteith's body, meanwhile, has been cremated and the official autopsy lists his cause of death as a mixture of heroin and alcohol.

Speaking out about the death of Cory Monteith, Glee creator Ryan Murphy has revealed how the show will handle the loss of one of its biggest stars.

Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter that he and the rest of the cast are still grieving: "It's always sad and shocking when somebody so young dies."

"One of the things that made it even more upsetting is that so many of us who knew and loved him were actively involved in trying to get him better."

"When you're faced with something so sad and so shocking, what do you do? Do we cancel the show? Do we start shooting in January? What do we do?"

"The right thing to do for the show, at this point, is to have that character pass," Murphy says of his plans for the premiere, which was pushed back a week.

Glee has pushed back the premiere of its fifth season, originally set for September 19, following the tragic death of Cory Monteith last weekend.

The hit Fox show will now return one week later, September 26.

In a statement, Fox said that the network, producers and 20th Century Fox TV decided to delay starting production until August, pushing back the premiere.

Vancouver, B.C., police found Cory Monteith dead in his hotel after he apparently overdosed on heroin and alcohol. The actor was just 31 years old.

It's not yet known how the hit, music-filled show will address the loss of Finn, a central character for its first four seasons, in the upcoming Season 5.

Lea Michele tried. She really did.

Aware that Cory Monteith had a history of substance abuse, Michele did all she could to protect her fellow Glee star during the year-plus they dated.

According to a TMZ insider, Cory - described as sweet but naive - was surrounded by a "a zoo of piranhas" in Hollywood, with danger around every corner.

But Michele stood by her man and took the lead in convincing him to attend rehab this spring after his addiction cropped back up.
