Jack Klugman’s son Adam is not pleased at the perceived snub of his father, who died last December, from the main Emmy Awards tributes in 2013.

Adam described the situation as “criminal” to THR.

“My dad was at the inception of television and helped build it in the early days," he says of Jack, who was beloved for The Odd Couple and Quincy, M.E.

"It’s an insult and it really seems typical of this youth-centric culture that has an extremely short attention span and panders to only a very narrow demographic.”

In addition to the Cory Montieth Emmy tribute, James Gandolfini, Gary David Goldberg, Jonathan Winters and Jean Stapleton were also honored.

Nothing for Jack Klugman.

The 2013 Emmys were filled with both celebrations and tributes.

For while shows such as Modern Family and Breaking Bad gave folks plenty to fist pump over, a number of untimely deaths also gave them far too many colleagues to moun.

Along those sad lines, Jane Lynch paid tribute to late Glee star Cory Monteith.

"It is remarkable, and perhaps a little curious, how quickly TV shows become like family in some ways," Lynch said during the broadcast. "This summer on our show, Glee, we suffered a painful death in our family. Cory Monteith played Finn Hudson, a star quarterback turned wide-eyed, heartfelt glee singer.

"And from the first time you saw Cory, he had a star quality and genuine sweetness that made it impossible not to fall in love with him. And millions did fall in love with Cory."

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has offered up new details on how the series will deal with the loss of Cory Monteith, who died of a drug overdose in July.

Finn will pass away, but despite Murphy's previous statements that Glee will "deal directly" with the issues that led to the actor's death, he will not OD.

“There were a lot of things that we had to decide ... how are we going to deal with his death?” Murphy said, and his answer may surprise Glee fans.

Finn will die, but how? We may never know: "Basically, what we’re doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died."

"The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we will say very early on, ‘This episode is about a celebration of that character’s life.'"

"That might be weird for some people, but it felt exploitative to do it any other way."

The death of Cory Monteith will be addressed in the third episode of the coming season, Fox's Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly said this afternoon.

Cory Monteith for Glee

"The third episode will write Finn out ... that episode will deal directly with the incidents involved with Cory's passing and the drug abuse in particular," he said.

He would not confirm rumors that Finn also dies of a drug overdose.

However, creator and executive producer "Ryan [Murphy] will shoot some PSA's with the cast, who will speak directly to the audience," he said.

Additionally, all the proceeds resulting from sales of the Glee music in that episode will go toward forming a foundation in Cory Monteith's memory.
