Like mother, like daughter.

Kaia Gerber, the 10-year old child of superstar runway icon Cindy Crawford, has been selected as the face of Donatella Versace's new childrenswear line.

"I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign," said Cindy Crawford. "I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace. Being on set with my daughter and watching her in front of the camera was a fantastic experience. I am so proud of her."

Because we asked when Kendall Jenner struck a few modeling poses - although she did so in a bikini - we must now remain consistent and inquire: 10 years old? Is that too young to be placed in this kind of position?

Model Cindy Crawford is the latest celebrity to be ensnared in an extortion plot, in her case involving her a photo of her eight year-old daughter, Kaia.

A strange photo of Kaia (taken when she was seven) was stolen from a former nanny employed by Crawford by an acquaintance named Edis Kayalar.

The photo depicts her "bound to a chair and gagged," as part of the nanny's "cops and robbers game." The parents were unaware of this "game."

Edis Kayalar subsequently threatened to sell the picture, thus beginning a blackmailing plot. He arrested and deported to his home country of Germany after allegedly trying to bilk money from Cindy and her husband, Rande Gerber.

Creepily, a man who appeared to be Kayalar contacted celebrity gossip site TMZ about six weeks ago trying to sell the photo of the girl. He said he found the photo in the nanny's room and thought she might be abusing the child.

Edis Kayalar said he had taken the photo from the nanny's room and wanted to know if he could get in trouble selling it. The website offered no advice and passed.

When they learned about the plot, Crawford and Gerber called the police, then paid Kayalar $1,000 for what they thought was the original photo.

But Gerber claims Kayalar came back a few days later, claiming he still had a copy and demanded more money. Crawford and her husband went to the FBI. Kayalar has been charged with one count extortion - he faces two years in prison if convicted.

The couple released the following statement:

"A criminal complaint was filed today in federal court stating that Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford have been the victims of an on-going extortion scheme."

"This crime has been committed by Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of a former nanny, who threatened to sell a photo of their then-seven-year-old daughter."

"There was no previous awareness by Mr. Gerber and Ms. Crawford of the existence of the photograph when they were contacted by Mr. Kayalar."

"The photo was taken by the former nanny as part of a purported game without the knowledge of the parents. The couple reported the extortion threat to the police and the FBI began a criminal investigation in the matter."

"Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to continue to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator."

Hopefully Robert Halderman is taking notes.

Rande Gerber, husband of Cindy Crawford, is being sued for sexual harassment by two women who used to work for him. A lawsuit was filed in March in San Diego County Superior Court by a pair of former employees of the business mogul.

The women, both waitresses, claim they were fired from a restaurant owned by Gerber's company for refusing to give in to the advances of Gerber and other managers.

On one occasion in 2008, while working at the Moonstone Lounge in San Diego, one claims Rande Gerber "attempted to kiss her three times during the night, then put his hand up her dress in between her legs in an attempt to fondle her crotch."

"These allegations were previously investigated and shown to be baseless," a Gerber Group spokesperson said in a statement. "This lawsuit has no merit."

Gerber owns the Midnight Oil chain of bars and lounges. He and Crawford, who have been married 11 years, have two children, Presley, 9, and Kaia, 7.

If he jeopardized a future of seeing Cindy Crawford nude by hitting on random waitresses, Rande Gerber would pretty much be the biggest moron ever.

Well, except for Eliot Spitzer.

To sum up, Cindy Crawford is 43, hot, nude and posing for some strange pics in the new issue of Allure Magazine. Yeah. They're trying to be all edgy, shocking and different with these pics, but we're not entirely sure if they hit the mark.

As you'll see after the jump, Cindy Crawford is naked except for shaving cream (nice!), tearing a loaf of bread a new one (literally) and having the moves put on her by some robot (just odd, though we're a bit jealous of that cyborg asshat.

Seriously, if you thought Kanye West spread in Complex was frightening and weird, this Allure spread gives him a run for his money. Cindy has better legs, luckily.

Yesterday, Janice Dickinson came to the defense of Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Today, someone who is far from old and disgusting also backed the actress in her fight against critics who have labeled her fat in recent days.

"It was so mean, and there's no reason for it," Cindy Crawford told TV Guide. "She wasn't on the beach saying, 'Hey, I think I look fantastic from any angle at any time so take my picture.' She was just on the beach being herself."

And enjoying time with fiance Ross McCall, of course.

Referring to photos snapped of her own recent beach getaway, Crawford added:

"I am 41 and I've had two kids, so people, I know I look different than I did when I was 20. I'm telling you I know I do, so you don't have to point it out to me. Every woman, we know our own faults better than the paparazzi know them. It's just mean-spirited to take a terrible picture. I mean, why [do it]?"

Of course, the most super of all models knows the answer: because entertainment news publications thrive off sales of these pictures. Therefore, as Crawford admits: "As long as we're buying those magazines, we're creating a market for that."

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford was spotted on a yacht in St. Tropez - oh, and sunbathing topless - over the weekend, and is looking mighty nice for 41.

Back in the day, seeing supermodels or celebrities in the nude was almost a big deal. Now we have Britney Spears and friends showing us more than we ever wanted to see.

Why would Kid Rock possibly bid adieu to Pamela Anderson when his new wife doesn't merely perform laps dances for her hubby ... she puts on a dual show with another sexy icon.

Oh yes, Anderson and Cindy Crawford (remember her?) performed for their respective significant others aboard Pam's yacht in St. Tropez Monday night.

First, Anderson gave the VIP treatment to Rock, shaking her booty to tunes by Jay-Z, Fatboy Slim, Nelly and Gnarls Barkley. It must have been a very bouncy show.

Cindy then took over. She performed for her man, Rande Gerber, to the Gwen Stefani and Eve track, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind." Just mind? Really? That would be too bad for Rande.

The Crawford action began with a little bit of Cindy and Pam together. But then the former model took control, thanks to the use a nearby pole.
