The countdown until the Magic Mike 2 premiere is on, as legions of fans of the original smash hit movie keep Channing all over their Tatums in anticipation.

Most Magic Mike fans know this was the semi-autobiographical story of Channing Tatum's days as a stripper. Well, he was far alone in that line of work:

Channing Tatum
"Magic Mike" wasn't the loosely autobiographical story of Channing Tatum for nothing! He got his start as a stripper.

No, Tatum's pole-dancing past isn't unique. Stripping is one way many of today's famous faces got their start, paying their bills prior to achieving fame.

Some of them went on to become Hollywood A-listers, and some of them went on to be, well, sort of crazy people who are famous for no discernible reason.

Check out 21 stars who used to be strippers above and see who falls into which category. Some of these former dancers may really surprise you, too.

And then there are stars who took it to another level. Yes, the celebrities who used to be porn stars ... those are surprising for even more obvious reasons:

To say that Chris Pratt is an unexpected summer action star would be like saying the Ice Bucket Challenge is kind of a popular viral trend.

For years, Pratt was best known for playing the doofy, doughy lovable schlub Andy Dwyer on NBC's Parks and Recreation. Pratt was perfectly cast in the role, and it seemed to be the kind of part he'd play for the rest of his career.

But then something incredible happened. Pratt lost a ton of weight, gained a ton of muscle, and became the Star Lord that saved the 2014 blockbuster season.

With stellar reviews and record-breaking box office, Guardians of the Galaxy is now a bonafide hit with a sequel sure to follow. So it's safe to say Pratt will never have to live someplace like this again:

Yes, that's a van with a Scooby Doo and Shaggy painted on the side and it served as Pratt's home for a time in his early twenties.

While the thought of anyone living without a proper roof over their head is depressing, there are a few bright spots in this photo:

What does a egotistical pop star have in common with the best basketball player in the world?

What action has united a shirtless CW star with one of the planet's richest men?

The answer to both questions is the same: an untold number of celebrities from across every conceivable industry have come together online to accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The act is simple (you douse a bucket of ice cold water over your head) and the cause is important (you help raise awareness for a debilitating disease without any cure) and it's been inspiring over the past few days to see so many famous folks get involved.

Who took the Challenge? Who did these stars then pass it on to next? Watch the following video, find out and go grab your own water bucket, readers. THG challenges you!

It's apparently not enough for Chris Pratt to own the movie world, or even the celebrity rapping world, these days.

He must also own the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

As most Internet users know by now, the Ice Bucket Challenge has been making its way around social media, with stars and everyday folks alike having chilled water dumped on them in order to raise awareness of this debilitating disease.

Pratt, the awesome dude behind Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, initially tries to take a different approach to the challenge in the following video. An alcohol-based approach.

But give it a minute and then watch as ice water comes cascading down on Pratt, again and again and again and, yes... again.

Who else has accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge in Hollywood? Who hasn't it?!?

With insane box office and glowing reviews, Guardians of the Galaxy is shaping up to be the movie of the summer.

So there's really no need for Chris Pratt to continue promoting the film that's made him an A-list Star-Lord. But even so, Chris keeps dropping viral gems all over the Internet.

Yesterday, Pratt showed off his rap skills with an amazing Eminem impression. Today, he gives us a tour of Peter Quill's awesomely futuristic/retro ship, the Milano.

The ship name and the old school tape deck aren't the only things that might gave you a flashback here.

If you're of a certain age, the impeccable homage to MTV Cribs will bring you back to a time when C-list pop stars showed you "where the magic happens" every week.

We know that Chris Pratt can rap.

And we definitely know Chris Pratt can open a movie (have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet?!?).

But Chris Pratt can also teach Kim Kardashian and others a thing or two dozen about how to lose weight.

The actor clocked in at over 300 pounds for the movie Delivery Man last year. He then came across like a version of Taylor Lautner for this summer's Marvel blockbuster. How did he successfully transform his body?

“Six months no beer,” he wrote on Instagram during his training, adding that he drank tons of water and worked out about three-four hours per day.

Pratt has become a master at fluctuating his own figure, from its heaviest point (first photo below) to its most svelte (second photo in the following gallery) to everything in between...

With Guardians of the Galaxy totally dominating the movie galaxy, Chris Pratt likely won't need to worry about changing jobs any time soon.

But if this acting thing ever does fall apart for the burgeoning A-Lister, he has a clear fallback position: rapper!

In the following interview with DJ Whoo Kid on "Whoolywood Shuffle," Pratt breaks into a couple verses of Eminem's "Forgot About Dre" - and absolutely slays it! Seriously. This is a must-watch:

Pratt is also asked about the Justin Bieber versus Orlando Bloom fight, seemingly unaware if even took place in Spain last week.

Macklin, you son of a bitch.

In a move that would make Chris Traeger proud, Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt has posted a photo to Instagram that shows off the impressive amount of weight he's lost for a role in Guardians of the Galaxy.

“#GOTG No beer for six months. My brother made me post this” the 34-year-old actor captioned the image, which also depicts a set of abdominal muscles that may make Justin Bieber jealous.

The gauntlet has been laid down, male readers. Drop the Coors Light and pick up a dumb bell today...

Let's hope Anna Faris and Chris Pratt's new baby boy takes his eating lessons from Mommy.

In an interview with Vulture, the funny actor rubs his belly and says “This is what 275 looks like. All man right here.”

But Pratt also reveals a goal for his un-Stephen Amell-like body: he wants to his 300 pounds by Thanksgiving.

Pratt says he's packing on the pounds to portray a lawyer in an upcoming film titled Starbuck.
