You'd think she might be jealous, at least a little. But Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence can rest assured that Gwyneth Paltrow approves of his rebound relationship.

A source reveals that the Oscar-winning Goop founder, 41, wishes only the best for Martin, the father to her two children, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.

"Her take is, 'Hey, he could do worse,'" the pal says of Paltrow's feelings about Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence dating. "She just wants him to be happy."

He could definitely do worse than the Hottest Woman Alive. A tad worse.

  • Chris Martin in Shock
  • Jennifer Lawrence: WOW

Since her "conscious uncoupling" with Martin in March, Paltrow and he have remained close. She even gave him shout-out in her Ice Bucket Challenge video.

The amicable feeling is mutual, it appears, from Martin's standpoint.

Speaking about their post-breakup life during a radio interview in July, Martin said, "We're friends and proud parents. There's lots of love, and that's it."

Taylor Swift writes songs about her exes as frequently as some people change their underwear. Swift's "Shake It Off" is rumored to be about both former flames Jake Gyllenhaal AND Harry Styles.

Or it's just an anthem about rising above and shaking off the haters. Either way, that's Taylor's M.O., but she isn't the only scathing songwriter in the game.

She's joined by a veritable legion of singers and bands who've made it their great pleasure to respond to their critics, enemies, and exes via song.

I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift
Oh, Taylor Swift! You just can't NOT write songs about exes! "I Knew You Were Trouble" is very publicly about One Direction's Harry Styles.

And then there are the musicians whose songs aren't about heartbreak at all but are instead tributes meant to help a friend through a tough time.

Songs in which others also find solace, like "Fix You" by Coldplay, which Chris Martin wrote for Gwyneth Paltrow, and which brought comfort to many facing tough times.

We put together a playlist featuring 19 songs inspired by celebrities, some you know well and others you might not. Sit back, relax, and just push play!

Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence make up one of the most unexpected celebrity couples in recent memory, but insiders close to Martin say it's not all that shocking that he would go for someone who's so unlike his wife of eleven years.

"Jennifer is loads of fun and they can't stop laughing when they're together," a source tells The Daily Mail. "Chris feels he's dating someone who has everything he'd been missing out in the past 11 years."

The insider adds that J-Law has given Chris "a new lease on life," and the Coldplay singer is drawn to the 24-year-old actress mainly because she's "the polar opposite" of Gwyneth Paltrow.

Martin and Paltrow, of course, "consciously uncoupled" earlier this year in one of the most bizarre, drawn-out celebrity breakups in recent memory.

Little is known about Lawrence's recent split from actor Nicholas Hoult, but it's beginning to look like Martin may have been the cause.

In most unexpected celebrity couple news, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are apparently dating in the wake of their recent and respective breakups.

  • Jennifer Lawrence at Cannes
  • Chris Martin in London

The attractive duo has been spending "quality time together" since late June after the Oscar winner broke up with Nicholas Hoult, her X-Men co-star, E! reports.

All the celebrity news source claims is that the two are "seeing each other," so it's not known how seriously. The site is reasonably credible, however.

Lawrence, who celebrates her 24th birthday today, called it quits amicably with Hoult earlier this summer, blaming the usual distance and careers.

Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow announced their Conscious Uncoupling after more than 10 years of marriage in March, after which he was linked to Alexa Chung.

It's unclear if those two were ever more than friends, but Chris and Gwyneth have also stayed on good terms, even living together at their L.A. home as of June.

"They've tried to keep things as stable and consistent as possible for their kids," a source said. "They still spend a lot of time together as a family."

It hasn't been a great week for love in Hollywood.

Ariana Grande split from Jai Brooks because he wasn't supportive of her. Ramona Singer ended her marriage because her husband Mario was unfaithful.

Joe Jonas stopped giving it to Blanda Eggenschwiler. Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran ... we don't know what is going on there. But it appears to be over.

But at least all of the above take solace in the following: they aren't alone. Far from it, in fact, as a number of high-profile romances have already met their demise in 2014.

We're not taking sides. We're not judging the basis for these break-ups. We're just running down the celebrities who have found themselves single so far this year:

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks
Say it isn't so!!!! Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks, stunningly, called it quits in September 2014.

Might Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin be in the midst of a conscious... recoupling?

In March, Paltrow and Martin announced their divorce after 10 years of marriage, but rumors heated up last month that the famous exes were calling off their split.

And that chatter is bound to grow louder after both stars attended a movie screening in East Hampton last night.

Accompanied by mother Blythe Danner, Paltrow hosted the event, held in honor of Hector And The Search For Happiness, a movie that stars Martin’s long-time pal Simon Pegg.

The Coldplay frontman was therefore also in attendance, acting like anything except a bitter ex-husband.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin called off their divorce last month, thus bringing an end to the world's first (and hopefully last) experiment in "conscious uncoupling."

But it's been rumored that Chris and Gwyneth had an open relationship in the past, so just because they're staying together doesn't mean they need to stop banging other people, right?

Gwyneth Paltrow Waves

According to Page Six, Gwyneth was spotted on what appeared to be a date with a "hot young guy" earlier this week.

"He had curly, shaggy hair and looked like he was in his 30s," said one witness. "I think they may have been holding hands."

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin introduced the phrase "conscious uncoupling" to the world when they decided to end their ten-year marriage back in March.

Now it seems the couple's unique approach to breaking up either worked like a charm or failed miserably, because Chris and Gwyneth have reportedly decided to call off their divorce.

"It's true they had problems, but in the weirdest way, this 'conscious uncoupling' situation has relieved the pressure on them," a source tells The Daily Mirror

"They may have consciously uncoupled a few months ago, but they seem to be re-coupling now. No one will be surprised if they get back together."

Rihanna and Chris Martin are both newly single and the two were spotted leaving swanky LA restaurant Giorgio Baldi last night.

As you might expect, millions consequently lost their minds over the possibility that this unlikely pairing might be a romance in the making,

Rihanna broke up with Drake just last month and has been reportedly very much enjoying the single life ever since.

Martin, of course, is still in the process of his "conscious uncoupling" from wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

So with their high-profile relationships in the past, could these two be seeking solace (with benefits) in one another?

After all, both are rumored to be avoiding serious relationships in favor of playing the field, so it's possible that they've reached some sort of "no strings attached" arrangement.

Chris Martin stopped by a Los Angeles area convenience store recently where the Coldplay singer astonishingly stopped to answer paparazzi questions about whether he and Gwyneth Paltrow are getting back together.

The answer? Maybe! Or maybe not...

When asked why he's still spending time with his ex, Martin simply replied, "Well, you've gotta hang out, you know?"

Realizing that he may have led the paparazzi to believe that he and Gwyneth are patching things up, Martin then clarified that despite having just answered the question he is "not answering your question."

Yes, Chris is frustratingly vague when discussing his "conscious uncoupling," but he does seem to acknowledge that the photogs have good reason to wonder if the famous couple is on the verge of reconciliation.

After all, Paltrow and Martin are still living together and have been recently spotted going out on what appear to be dates.
