New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may indeed be the hottest politician out there ... figuratively. He's leading two 2016 presidential polls among Republicans.

A Rasmussen Reports poll Wednesday shows Christie, who is expected to win reelection in New Jersey handily this year, leading the potential GOP field.

His 21 percent support edges Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (18 percent) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (16 percent), both of whom may also run.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is behind Bush with 15 percent, while 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan garnered 13 percent of the vote.

A 2016 presidential poll suggests that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton (D) are the ones to beat.

According to a Quinnipiac University survey, Christie edges two fellow Republicans, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.

Christie would also defeat two prominent Democratic candidates, Vice President Joe Biden and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the poll showed.

But in a head-to-head battle with Hillary Clinton - the clear Democratic frontrunner if she runs - Christie would lose by approximately eight points.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update to chat with Seth Meyers about Hurricane Sandy relief and more.

While he ruffled GOP feathers by praising President Obama's response to the storm, the outspoken governor's crisis management earned him well-deserved bipartisan praise.

Not that it didn't come at a cost; Christie told Meyers he's worn that same wet fleece for three weeks. At least New Jersey residents are patient, he noted ... yeah, right.
