Chris Brown has graduated from his court-ordered anger management program, but he is staying put to seek additional treatment for the time being.

Even though the star finished his 90-day program, and was seen shooting a music video and attending a charity event this weekend, he's still in rehab.

Conflicting reports suggest that either Chris Brown sought to extend his stay there, or a judge ordered him to remain at the facility for further treatment.

Either way, Brown's rep declined to comment, but the 24-year-old was on hand Friday as he was honored by 2nd Call, an L.A. community group.

Chris' work with the organization and his own Symphonic Love Foundation and Unity Campaign earned him the "Second Chance at Loving Life Award."

Seriously.

Chris Brown is now being sued by the man who claims he berated him with a gay slur and broke his nose, leading to the singer's arrest in D.C. last fall.

According to Parker Adams, who is suing for $3 million, the R&B star told him "I ain't down with that gay s--t" and proceeded to cold cock him in the face.

Breezy in Court

Adams says he was outside the W Hotel in Washington when Brown went to town on him; Chris is being prosecuted for misdemeanor assault as a result.

Not to mention, his probation status - for beating the crap out of Rihanna back in 2009 - is once again in serious jeopardy as a result of this allegation.

Brown still denies any misdeeds and claims Adams was the aggressor, trying to strongarm his way on his tour bus. The charge was reduced from a felony.

Adams is suing both Brown and Christopher Hollosy, Brown's bodyguard.

Adams wants $1 million from each of the men for his injuries, and another $500,000 from each for punitive damages incurred as a result of their violence.

Just another day in the life ...

Embattled singer Chris Brown is the victim of extortion, not the administrator of a savage beating on the basketball court, according to his attorney Mark Geragos.

Malcolm Ausbon filed a lawsuit against Chris, claiming the R&B star and his posse beat the crap out of him when he called a foul on Chris during a pick-up game.

The beatdown allegedly occurred at 24-Hour Fitness, but Geragos claims Brown is being taken for a ride, citing a letter demanding $250,000 from Chris ... OR ELSE.

If Brown doesn't pay up, the letter says that "Mr. Ausbon is placed in a position by the LAPD where he needs to decide whether he will press charges."

The lawyer continues, "He would rather be compensated."

According to Geragos, this is just a cleverly worded threat, i.e. pay me a quarter of a million dollars to go away because I am making a big issue out of this.

Malcolm Ausbon, a California man, says short-fused singer Chris Brown and three members of his posse jumped him at a 24 Hour Fitness last year.

All, he says, because of a disputed foul during a pickup basketball game.

Chris Brown RAGE!

Ausbon is suing Brown, his goons and 24 Hour Fitness for unspecified damages claiming assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

The lawsuit states that when Brown, 24, refused to acknowledge the foul called on him by Ausbon around 11 p.m., Ausbon "expressed his dissatisfaction."

Chris allegedly replied that he was a member of the Bloods street gang.

As Ausbon began to back away, members of the singer's entourage stepped in and said, "If you f--k with Chris, you f--k with us," the lawsuit states.

Some celebrity couples are made in heaven, making their fans believe in romance, passion and everlasting love even at the highest levels of fame and fortune.

Just not these ones. Like at all.

In celebration of Valentine's Day, many romantic duos will celebrate with flowers, gifts, meals, dates and public displays of affection. Nauseating, but cute.

These couples, on the other hand, are best known for fighting - in the media, in person and/or on TV - and breaking up a lot. Sometimes with police involved.

Hey, when you're a celebrity gossip site, you can't function without the dysfunctional, so at least they bring the entertainment value and then some, right?

Here are 14 truly toxic twosomes that never should've been a thing:

Rihanna and Chris Brown
Rihanna and Chris Brown dated for two decent chunks of time, the first of which ending after he beat her senseless. Never a good sign. Nor was taking him back after that, but she's moved on with Drake ... thank goodness. Good luck, Karrueche!

Chris Brown, after visiting his lawyer, swung by Trey Songz' Super Bowl party on Sunday, and it's possible that pit stop could land him in hot water.

Brown was given a pass out of anger management rehab specifically to meet with his attorney, Mark Geragos, to prepare for a court hearing the next day.

At the hearing, the judge kept Chris out of jail despite the D.A.'s request to lock him up. Had he seen this photo, might things have turned out differently?

Chris Brown, Trey Songz

Obviously, Mr. Karrueche Tran is not doing anything wrong in this photo.

It's also reasonable to believe he might have merely stopped by to see his pal Trey and that's it, but there were girls, booze and who knows what else there.

When you're in court-ordered rehab, this becomes a consideration.

Sources close to Chris tell TMZ he was only there for around 10 minutes, and only because he thought the party was for charity ... an iffy excuse at best.

There was no evidence of any fundraising, and it's irrelevant anyway, although Chris sources say he didn't drink and was monitored by a rehab worker.

That sounds like BS too, but he's back in rehab now in any case ...

Chris Brown sidestepped a new effort to put him in jail yesterday when a judge rejected prosecutors' efforts to put him behind bars for a probation violation.

Judge James Brandlin said Brown appeared to be making progress in his anger management program and should remain there for the foreseeable future.

Chris Brown checked into rehab after he was arrested October 27 in Washington D.C. for allegedly punching a man in a dispute over a fan photo.

He got kicked out after throwing a rock at his mom's car, but was ordered by the court to finish a 90-day program while the assault case is pending.

Prosecutors said Monday that additional witness statements obtained last month offer "sufficient evidence" to move forward with a full-blown mini-trial.

That hearing, decided by a judge instead of a jury, could result in revocation of the singer's felony probation sentence for his 2009 beating of Rihanna.

Chris Brown appeared today inside a D.C. courtroom and - good news! - he didn't punch anyone inside.

But in even more surprising news, the singer did reject a plea bargain in conjunction with assault charges he faces after an October confrontation.

Chris Brown, Up Close

According to TMZ sources, the prosecutor told a judge that he had offered Brown a deal that would have reduced the charge to simple assault… but the artist's attorney turned it down.

It's unknown why at this time, but it is believed that Brown's lawyer has not yet been given surveillance footage from the night in question.
