Will Chris Brown duet with Justin Bieber in Sydney? That's the rumor going around ... a rumor started by Bieber himself after he arrived Down Under.

Bieber romises "there might be surprises" on his tour.

The speculation is that with controversial R&B star Brown also touring the country, the pair will team up in Sydney to perform "Next 2 You" live:

Bieber Tweet About BrownBieber will throw it DOWN at Brisbane Entertainment Centre before heading down to Sydney for two sold-out shows at Acer Arena on Thursday and Friday.

Brown is playing Acer Arena tonight and does not have another gig until Brisbane on Friday. So look for a Bieber-Brown duet live in Sydney Thursday.

Seems like a given, seeing as the link Justin posted is to this song:

Man, let's hope Teyana Taylor has never read what THG has written about Chris Brown...

This R&B singer allegedly instigated a violent brawl in a recording studio Saturday night, all because a woman made a disparaging remark about Brown. Authorities tell TMZ the incident took place in Burbank, as Taylor defended the honor of her pal by punching a female in the face and then kicking her repeatedly in the stomach.

Sounds like behavior that would make Brown proud, doesn't it?

When cops arrived on the scene, Taylor had already left the premises. No charges have been filed, but police are investigating the brawl and plan on speaking to the singer.

Looks like Chris Brown has an unlikely ally in the celebrity world: Rosie O’Donnell.

The outspoken talk show host said on her radio show Friday that Chris' detractors, along with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts, may be guilty of racism.

That's because, O'Donnell, says, people criticized Brown's window-breaking tantrum on GMA more than, she argues, the equivalent by white stars is lambasted.

  • Chris Brown, Blonde Hair

“I just don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else,” O’Donnell tells executive producer Janette Barber on the program.

Asked if the reaction, which Rosie addressed for the first time because she had been on vacation, was racially based, O'Donnell replied, “I totally think [it] is.”

“I also think it’s why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts.”

O’Donnell doesn’t flesh out this point at all other than later adding that she felt “badly” for Chris Brown and “mildly angry” at Roberts while the interview.

Given the context, though, it wouldn’t be amiss to interpret it as an accusation of some sort of racial betrayal on Roberts’ part not to go easier on Brown.

Chris Brown and Rihanna got into an infamous disagreement two years ago, but they can certainly agree on wanting to move past that argument now.

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Rihanna opened up again about her famous ex and why she agreed to the lifting of a restraining order against him.

"You can never please people," she said. "That's my decision. It doesn't mean we're gonna be in a relationship, or make up, or even talk ever again."

"It just means I didn't want to object to the judge," she stressed.

The modified order means that the former couple may attend industry events at the same time as long as Brown doesn't annoy, molest or harass her.

That, Rihanna says, was the entire point. Moving on.

"What he did to me was a personal thing. It had nothing to do with his career. Saying [he can't be at awards shows] definitely made it difficult for him."

But, she takes pains to clarify again: "We don't have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn't want to make it more difficult for him professionally."

That's a relief. His Good Morning America rampage made it hard enough.

Over the objections of Tom Bergeron, Cheryl Burke and a host of others, Chris Brown performed on Dancing With the Stars' first results show of the season Tuesday.

Brown actually performed twice - first his new hit "Yeah 3x," then an encore medley of "Forever" and "Beautiful People" - bringing the house down both times.

If there were boos, they weren't audible over the cheers for a guy who put his all into each routine and looked very, very happy to be there. Here's his first effort:

After Brown's now-infamous Good Morning America meltdown, many were shocked (and more than a few upset) that ABC would let him keep this DWTS gig.

Whatever the reason for not pulling the plug, Brown was clearly grateful, and repaid them with a terrific live performance, as you can see above and below.

His fans surely loved this spirited live effort. His detractors will continue to lament that he appeared on DWTS at all and loathe his existence in general.

All we can do is hope that he's turned the page. Follow this link to see who was eliminated last night, then watch Chris' second performance after the jump:

Tom Bergeron won't be the only one refusing to give Chris Brown a standing ovation tonight.

The Dancing with the Stars host has already voiced his displeasure over that controversial star appearing on this week's results show, and now Cheryl Burke has spoken out against the performance, as well.

  • Brown, Bald and Blonde

"As a victim of domestic violence, I don't agree with him coming on the show, but it's out of my control," she told Extra.

Earlier this year, Burke opened up about her past and admitted she was molested as a child.

It should be an interesting evening on ABC, that's for sure. Do you think Brown should be welcome on such a national stage?

Without coming out and directly challenging his network for allowing Chris Brown to perform tonight on Dancing with the Stars, host Tom Bergeron has made his feelings clear.

“I did tell the producers it may be to their advantage to not have me interview him because my natural tendency would be to say something,” Bergeron told Ryan Seacrest on the latter's radio show “Don’t put me in a position where you are asking me to not say something, because I really won’t do that.”

  • Browning Out

Bergeron joked that he may be placed in "a Hannibal Lecter suit" in order to keep him quiet, but the promotion of Brown by ABC is no laughing matter to many.

It's hard not to wonder why the network banned Adam Lambert from its airways in late 2009, yet is embracing a man with such an emotional, violent side. The answer, though, is clearly all about the bottom line:

ABC is hoping to arrange a ratings-grabber of an interview with both Brown and Rihanna.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. When Chris Brown loses his mind and explodes on Good Morning America ... welcome him back to talk about it?

ABC was quite forgiving after the singer's tirade this week, keeping his Dancing With the Stars visit on the docket and even inviting him back to GMA.

R and B Star

The reason isn't that they want it to go away, reports a source. They want to "milk this event for everything its worth" news standards be damned.

In the wake of his Good Morning America trip, during which Robin Roberts' questions about Rihanna set him off, ABC wonders if there's more potential here.

There have even been internal discussions about "orchestrating Chris Brown talking to Rihanna for the first time." This is considered "a top get at the network."

Guess that's not a huge shock, as all things Brown have electrified the media so much. As for who the interviewer would be if this came to fruition? Easy call!

"It would be Robin [Roberts]," the insider said matter-of-factly.
