Lil Wayne is getting in the middle of Drake's beef with Chris Brown, though his goal is to end it amicably so all parties involved can keep making cash money.

Weezy and his peeps at Young Money, which reps Drake, have been quietly urging him to do what he can to put the feud to bed because it's bad for the biz.

Yes ... as violent and hardcore as the rap game cis, there is such a thing as bad PR, and Lil Wayne senses that stemming from the Chris Brown-Drake fight.

Sources say Drake has gotten calls from Weezy, Birdman, Mack Maine and others at Young Money, urging the rapper to extend an olive branch to Brown.

Since Brown appears on several tracks with YM members, they feel it's best to let bygones be bygones after the fight that got W.i.P. nightclub shut down.

Drake doesn't want to reach out to Chris, however, until he knows CB doesn't blame him for the melee that led to serious injuries and property damage.

Brown's lawyer has been saying that Drake was one of the aggressors, which the Canadian rapper denies, as does Meek Mill, the other rapper involved.

Lil Wayne has made it clear he's on Drake's side no matter what, but "making money matters most" and the bottom line trumps any personal grudge.

When Lil Wayne is the voice of reason, you know $h!t is outta hand.

Instigator or not, Drake best take heed, even if - to borrow one of our favorite Weeds quotes - thug means never having to say you're sorry.

Drake's homie Meek Mill says he didn't throw any bottles during the W.i.P. club brawl that got the venue shut down and injured Chris Brown last week.

Meek says Chris didn't throw any either, and denies there is any lingering beef with the R&B singer or his camp. Mill told XXL (dot) com the following:

"Chris and Drake, them two was there, but it's other people that be around that take sh!t to the next level ... Things just happen in the club."

Meek Mill Picture

"I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of sh!t. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.”

Asked if he threw a bottle at Brown, Meek replied, "F*%k no."

Mill, who was hanging at Drake's table during the June 13 incident, was rumored to be an instigator in the fight (and to have banged Rihanna).

Meek claims, at least, that he spoke with Chris Brown on the phone after the brawl and both sides agreed they had no problem with the other.

Mill concluded his frank assessment of the melee by saying, "Chris Brown be in clubs. He be around situations like this. Things get out of hand."

"That don’t mean it’s out of hand with me and him or him and Drake.”

Good to know. For his part, Drake spoke about the brawl himself during his concert at Jones Beach on Long Island Saturday night ... kind of.

Police are still investigating. As always we gotta ask ...

With some cryptic remarks at his concert Saturday night, Drake broke his silence about his alleged involvement in a violent bar brawl with Chris Brown last week.

Days after the brawl left several people injured, caused massive property damage and got W.i.P. nightclub shut down, many unanswered questions remain.

Drake cleared up none of them at Jones Beach in Long Island, N.Y., but he did appear to allude to the bottle-bashing melee between his crew and Brown's.

According to the N.Y. Daily News, Drake told the crowd:

Drake Live

"When I woke up this morning, I had to think about a lot of things. But the only thing I gave a f--k about was that I was in New York City tonight."

Later during the show, he said, "It's last call and you're really too drunk to give a f--k ... A n---a in the corner is standing there looking at you funny."

"You bump elbows with him on the way to the bathroom, but really there's only one n---a that you got to think about."

So, yeah. There you go. Read into that however you like!

Until this, the rapper has remained largely silent, issuing a statement through his rep last week that denied any involvement in the fracas.

The club was shut down by law enforcement officials, who cited a litany of previous violations that culminated in Thursday's notorious brawl.

Chris Brown was hurt in the brawl, which also injured NBA star Tony Parker, model Lucy Pavlovsky, Chris' bodyguard Big Pat and numerous others.

The nightclub where Chris Brown and Drake threw down has been shut down.

Both W.i.P. and Greenhouse nightclubs - located in the same building and jointly owned in Manhattan - were shuttered on Saturday night by the NYPD.

Is the epic fight that went down between the music stars' camps to blame?

Yes, but indirectly. Previous violations had been reported before the nightclub fight, and police looking into the brawl may have uncovered even more.

Drake and Chris

Details are scarce, but police say it was “closed as a result of several violations in a stipulation agreement made by the owners and the N.Y.P.D.”

Jonathan Cantor, the club's manager, was taken into custody by police on two outstanding warrants stemming from noise complaints at the hot spot.

In case you somehow missed it, Chris Brown and Drake were allegedly involved in a brutal bar brawl early Thursday morning that injured many.

Drake has maintained his innocence in the matter and has denied any participation in the violent altercation. Brown has since contacted the police.

A rep for W.i.P. and Greenhouse tells E! News that "the venues are temporarily, not permanently, closed." Temporarily for awhile, it sounds like.

A model who claims she required 12 stitches after she was caught up in last week's Chris Brown-Drake fight plans to sue ... possibly both of the musicians.

Javier Solano, a lawyer representing Lucy Pavlovsky, says the model was in the VIP section at W.i.P. Nightclub when the violent fight went down.

He says Lucy ducked down when bottles started flying and didn't notice her arm was gushing blood until she was making her way out of the club.

  • Cutie in Black

Solano says Lucy took a cab to the nearest hospital, and got a total of 12 stitches to close up two cuts on her arm, along with a tetanus shot.

According to Solano, Lucy Pavlovsky was interviewed by NYPD officers on Friday. She is "gathering evidence" for a possible criminal complaint.

Solano says Lucy's lawsuit would be against the club, which was shut down for various violations, but hinted Drake and/or Brown could be included.

"At this moment we are exploring all options," he said. "I can assure you that regardless of fame, money or stature, the people responsible will be held accountable."

Also injured in the fight, allegedly over Rihanna:

  • Chris Brown himself; his chin was gashed.
  • Chris' bodyguard Big Pat, whose head was bashed.
  • San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, whose eye was cut.
  • Ingrid Gutierrez, a 21-year-old model who was at Brown's table and suffered "bruises, stitches and trauma to her face," according to reports.

If Rihanna didn't feel like she was the only girl in the world before this week, the violent nightclub altercation between Chris Brown and Drake - or at least their entourages - certainly could be seen as an ego boost ... or just scary.

She is, of course, Brown's ex and Drake's friend, collaborator, and rumored hookup.

For her part, she was at a different club, with Brown, earlier in the week, but Rih was nowhere to be found at W.I.P. when things got ugly Wednesday.

She heard about it, though, says a source who claims Rihanna "loves this! Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course she loves the drama."

After a deluge of texts telling her what went down, "She just laughed. She's spoken to both of them and just thinks it's crazy. She's glad she wasn't there!"

"She just wants to be friends with both of them."

Clearly they have different ideas. Brown tweeted a pic of a serious gash on his chin after a member of Drake's posse allegedly hit him with a bottle.

Drake has denied "any wrongdoing" through his rep, but Brown and his attorney have pointed the finger at the Canadian rapper and his entourage.

A member of Brown's posse may have been the primary aggressor, however, as reports suggest he was making gang signs and death threats at Drake.

Neither musician is considered a criminal suspect in the incident, FYI.

UPDATE, 6/16: Brown's camp wants to clear the air about one thing.

The R&B star's management, Phase Too Inc., shot down reports that Brown sent a $2,000 bottle of champagne to Drake's table ... a gesture that purportedly prompted him to send back a note to Chris reading, "I am f--king the love of your life."

Phase Too called BS in a Tweet: "There was no bottle sent to @drake and there was no note! Stop the lies, TMZ/MTO!!!! There were no punches thrown, just glass!"

Rihanna hasn't taken a side ... but you can!

Chris Brown is portraying himself as the victim in Wednesday night's fight with Drake and his entourage, but one of Brown's posse members may have been the primary instigator of the violent brawl, according to new reports from witnesses.

The Chris Brown-Drake fight clearly involved major smack talk on both sides, but it was Brown's friend who flashed gang signs and made death threats at Drake's entourage moments before the melee broke out at W.I.P. nightclub, allegedly.

  • Chris Brown: Fight Time?

Eyewitnesses say that Chris Brown had been hanging out at his VIP table with a posse of 16 guys or so ... one of whom was a man with dreadlocks who was throwing gang signs and screaming at Drake and his entourage.

Witnesses say this man was the primary instigator in the brawl that followed.

Among other verbal taunts, the man yelled out, "Somebody's gonna die!"

The man also lashed out at Drake's friend Meek Mill - the man who allegedly inflicted this gash on Brown - saying "F**k you, we're gonna kill you n!gga."

As the threats were made, Chris reportedly stood up and embraced him.

If the man acted as if he's associated with a gang - regardless of whether he actually is - it could be significant, as Chris' probation bars him from such things.

Seriously. His probation stipulates him from fraternizing with gang members. Says a lot right there, no? Neither he nor Drake are criminal suspects, FYI.

Drake may have been at the club where a fight broke out involving Chris Brown - all over Rihanna, supposedly - but the rapper's rep says he had nothing do with it.

Chris Brown's camp tells a different story.

His rep said that Chris, girlfriend Karrueche Tran and his friends "were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.i.P. They sustained several injuries."

Since the Chris Brown-Drake fight, the rep adds, "Chris and his party are cooperating fully with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further."

Chris Brown, who was injured in the bar brawl, spoke with NYPD detectives and his lawyer allegedly provided "physical evidence" showing Drake was involved.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, went to the NYPD late today to present evidence showing that Drake and his friend Meek Mill were the aggressors.

Chris spoke with detectives at an undisclosed location in New York. Brown is currently not a suspect in the melee but rather "a witness and a victim."

Drake is also not currently a suspect, according to police.

For his part, Drake has been "cooperating fully" with authorities as well ... it's unclear if he's spoken to police personally, but his representatives have.

According to TMZ, while there was trash talk on both sides, the main instigator may be someone in Chris' posse, who was inciting Drake and his people all night.

Drake's rep stressed earlier Thursday that the "Best I Ever Had" rapper "did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P."

Team Chris or Team Drake?

It looks like last night's wild fight between Chris Brown and Drake was, in fact, about the former's ex and the latter's rumored hookup, Rihanna. Imagine that.

Sources also indicate that while Drake's telling the truth when he says he wasn't involved physically in the epic melee that ensued, he definitely stirred the pot.

Drake gave Brown the middle finger, engaged in some serious trash talk, and recruited several other rappers to join his posse before the brawl, witnesses say.

  • Chris Brown Smiles

Tension started escalating, supposedly, when Drake gave the middle finger to one of Chris' bodyguards and shouted, "I'm about to go whoop that ass!"

Chris' entourage responded with a few hand gestures of their own.

Witnesses very close to the action say Drake felt disrespected ... even though he started the exchange. At that point the rapper went to get backup.

His boys Juelz Santana, Trav B and Meek Mill - the one who sources say hit Brown with a bottle and gashed his chin - then stepped into the beef.

At this point, the latest report says that Drake got loud and shouted at Chris something to the effect of "You be on that ho s**t on Twitter n***a!"

That would be an expletive-laden, but clear reference to a recent Twitter war between Chris, Drake, and Meek ... all over who's banging Rihanna.

Raise your hand if you're surprised she played some role in this. Anyone?

Moments later, Chris' security guards became irate, more words were exchanged, pushing and shoving began, a bottle was thrown, and ... yeah.

By all accounts, Drake never got physically involved in the brawl and was about to leave at the time, which he claimed in a statement via his rep.

His middle finger and smack talk clearly played a role in it, however.

One quick question before we turn it over to your comments: Whatever happened ... aren't you almost surprised this hasn't happened before?

Whose side are you on in the Chris Brown-Drake beef?

Drake is adamant that he did not beat up Chris Brown last night, claiming he was in the process of leaving the nightclub when the stars' entourages threw down.

Chris Brown's fight with Drake and his posse at a New York club left him with a gash on his chin (he posted a pic of it on Twitter that he later took down).

He says he was leaving when $h!t went down though. His rep said: "[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”

"Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began."

  • Chris Brown Nose Ring

Earlier reports indicated, contrarily, that Brown and Drake had been hanging out in the VIP section when Drake began pointing and yelling at Brown.

Brown began yelling back, witnesses say, and that's when members of both entourages rushed in and began shoving each other repeatedly.

With tensions escalating, someone threw a bottle, causing an all-out melee.

It's unclear who threw it, but bedlam erupted and security called the police.

Now, a new witness claims it was a rapper hanging out with Drake, Meek Mill (pictured below), who was screaming at Chris and vice versa, not Drake personally.
