Chaz Bono Bio
Chaz Bono is a well-known LGBT rights advocate, as well as a writer, actor and musician. HE is the child of Sonny and Cher.
The former Chastity Bono was named after the title of Cher's first feature film, which had its premiere shortly before her birth in 1969.
In addition to a fairly successful career in music, Chastity worked as a writer at large for The Advocate, a national gay and lesbian magazine, starting in the 1990s.
The talented Bono became a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, promoting National Coming Out Day.
Bono has also served as Entertainment Media Director for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
Chastity Bono, now Chaz Bono, is most notable nowadays for the fact that he underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2009. Now a he, Chaz is very happy with his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Elia.
He will compete on Dancing With the Stars in the fall of 2011!
