With the stakes high and little margin for error, The Voice's remaining six contenders gave it their all Monday in hopes of advancing to the NBC show's final four.

Even though the coaches' teams have little relevance anymore - Christina doesn't even have one left - it was a good night for Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton.

Cassadee Pope continued to shine as one of the favorites, looking, acting and sounding the part of a star, while Terry McDermott may have had the best night of all.

Watch all the performances from last night here and give us your take:

You have to give NBC due credit. The Voice results shows may be predominantly filler, but you could never accuse said filler of being mailed in or unoriginal.

Case in point? The Muppets occupying the trademark swivel chairs while Cee Lo Green and Kermit the Frog perform "Bein' Green" live ... you gotta see it:

It was a good night for Coach Green overall. In addition to this strange, but wonderful live effort, two of his three proteges advanced to the final six.

Speaking of which: Who should win The Voice?

In short, it's anyone's game ... to win or lose.

Everybody came to play, that's for sure. After last week's The Voice was widely touted as as its best episode ever, this one gave it a run for its money. Here's why:

The Voice results show set a new precedent tonight.

Unlike previous seasons, the singers are no longer exclusively battling their team, and the coaches no longer have a say in who stays beyond The Voice Top 12.

In other words, it's anyone's game, and any team could lose two singers in a given week (some speculated this would happen to Christina right off the bat, in fact).

Did it? Find out who was sent home below ...

  • Cee Lo Green as a Judge
  • Blake Shelton on The Voice
  • Christina Aguilera on The Voice
  • Adam Levine on The Voice

The Voice's top 12 performed Monday night, with a twist: 10 will advance, with the coaches having no say. America's votes will be the only determining factor.

Also, no coach is guaranteed a spot in the finals, meaning any remaining singer can be voted off at any time. In other words, it's crunch time. So how'd they do?

The Voice aired its second live playoff episode Wednesday, with 10 of the top 20 singing for their lives. On tonight's results show, only 12 will survive.

Two members of each team of five will be chosen by America and a third by his/her coach.

Unlike Monday's live playoffs, one team totally outshone the other this week. Misfits they may seem, but Cee Lo's is clearly the deeper, more talented squad.

Christina's team did have its moments, though.

Here's her protege Sylvia Yacoub, alongside Cee Lo team member Nicholas David, whose take on a Barry White classic may have been the highlight of the entire Top 20 ...

We have an update in the alleged sexual assault case against Cee Lo Green.

As previously reported, a woman claims the singer drugged her with ecstasy at one point during a night out with him in Los Angeles and all she remembers after the incident is waking up naked in bed alongside Green.

Cee Lo has denied the charges, which include his recorded admission to the self-proclaimed victim that he did, indeed, put something in her drink.

Now, insiders tell TMZ the woman has known Green since the Dallas-based Super Bowl in Februrary 2011.
