George and Cindy Anthony are split over the innocence (or lack thereof) of their estranged daughter Casey Anthony, according to Dr. Phil McGraw.

"[George] is very critical," the TV psychologist said, while Cindy makes excuses for her daughter at every opportunity and lives in a state of denial.

Neither of Casey's parents have spoken to the 25-year-old since she was stunningly acquitted of murdering toddler Cayley Anthony back in July.

In an interview airing today and tomorrow, the Anthonys are speaking out on the death of their granddaughter and the public trial that followed.

Casey's defense lawyers claimed Caylee drowned accidentally and George tried to hide the child's body, having molested Casey as a child no less.

Both deny anything of the sort, but at the same time, Dr. Phil said Cindy and George "have a different view [of whether Casey murdered Caylee]."

Dr. Phil believes that Cindy Anthony, mother of Casey, is all about making excuses. As we know, Dr. Phil McGraw does not tolerate excuses. It's YOUR fault!

And in advance of his highly anticipated interview with George and Cindy Anthony, the first part of which airs today, Phil spoke on The View about Cindy.

"She seems to make an excuse at every turn," he said, adding that the grandmother of the slain Caylee Anthony is still "very much in denial."

The TV shrink also said he doesn't believe that George Anthony molested his daughter or that family dysfunction can explain Casey's behavior.

"I think it will change people's view, whether they liked them before or didn't," he said of his no-holds-barred interview down with the Anthonys.

To their credit, in exchange for their first TV interview, the parents of Casey Anthony asked for a donation to the non-profit Caylee's Fund.

Dr. Phil holds nothing back in his interview with Casey Anthony’s parents.

The much-anticipated sit-down with George and Cindy Anthony, which will now air Tuesday due to the Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal U.S. Open title match, is their first since Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering Caylee.

Phil wants to make clear in previews that he GRILLS her folks ...

Specifically, Phil lays into Cindy over a chilling MySpace message she posted 12 days before she called 911 to declare Caylee Anthony missing.

“My Caylee is missing. She came into my life unexpectedly just as she has left me. Jealousy has taken her away, jealousy from the one person that should be thankful for all the love, support and strength given to her,” she wrote.

Cindy tells Dr. Phil that she didn’t mean it literally.

Casey Anthony's parents have a new theory in the death of their granddaughter Caylee, according to Fox News. George and Cindy now feel Casey may have been incapacitated by a seizure while Caylee was drowning in "the swimming pool incident."

First, obvious mental problems. Now seizures. What next.

Cindy and George revealed their theory during their interview with Dr. Phil, which airs September 12. No word on how it went over with the doc.

Casey Anthony Mugshot

Do Casey Anthony's parents really feel Casey had a seizure that went undiagnosed until now and wasn't mentioned in court? And that Caylee died as a result?

Here's their supposed explanation for this new notion:

Cindy reportedly told Dr. Phil that Casey Anthony suffered gran mal seizures in 2005 and 2008, and suggested that the seizures may be symptomatic of a condition that could make it difficult to "sort fact from fiction."

Denial. It's not just for Rick Perry and climate change.

Casey Anthony may be personally laying low, but the onslaught of key players in her murder trial trying to cash in by telling their side of the story has begun.

The prosecutor who failed to convict the alleged killer is releasing a book about it. Casey's parents are going on Dr. Phil to discuss ... who knows with them.

Now Dominic Casey, the private investigator hired by Casey, George and Cindy Anthony to investigate Caylee’s disappearance, may be writing a tell-all as well.

“I’ve been contacted by several publishers,” Dominic told Radar.

Casey Anthony on Trial

As for what he might reveal that didn’t come out in testimony during Casey Anthony’s murder trial, he said: “It would clarify questions people may have.”

Dominic was at the center of controversial testimony in which Casey’s brother, Lee, and her mother, Cindy, seemed to contradict each other on the stand.

Cindy was asked by defense lawyer Jose Baez if she told Dominic Casey to search the area near where Caylee’s remains were eventually found in 2008.

Are they misunderstood, grieving grandparents? Gold-digging weirdos? It's unclear to say the least. Perhaps Dr. Phil can figure out George and Cindy Anthony.

The September 12 season premiere of the Dr. Phil Show will find Phil sitting across from the parents of America's most hated individual, Casey Anthony.

The Anthonys will discuss their daughter's trial, during which they both testified, what their lives are like now, and finally the million-dollar question:

Jeff Ashton, the assistant state attorney who prosecuted but failed to convict accused child murderer Casey Anthony, is writing a book about the experience.

It remains to be seen if a book by Ashton, who retired just days after the Casey Anthony verdict, will be well received. Way to profit after letting the public down!

According to the Orlando Sentinel, publisher William Morrow will publish the book in late November. The title? Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony.

We actually think this would be a better title/cover:

Casey Anthony has "obvious mental health issues." That is obvious.

What was less clear is how and where she would treat them. Well, it appears that she is receiving professional psychiatric help at home in Florida.

She's concerned about leaving home - where she's serving probation for a check fraud conviction - but knows she needs help, a TMZ report says.

Not healthy.

Whatever you think happened, there is a lot of work to be done here.

The solution to get the help she needs while circumventing death threats is to have a "team" of mental health professionals visit her regularly.

Casey Anthony has also employed the help of a spiritual adviser.

Who the heck knows what Casey Anthony did to pass the time in jail, but now that she's out, she's essentially a prisoner again, stuck in Florida serving probation, unable to go anywhere in public without fear if someone coming at her with a crude shank, or throwing a burlap sack over her head and stuffing her in the back of a van.

In a manner of speaking. Don't get any ideas, Orlando residents.

Crying in Court

Sources say the acquitted murder suspect is going back to college online. While confined to the Sunshine State, she's determined to better herself.

Casey will hit the books from the comfort of her own home, the location of which is top secret. Not that she planned to spend time outside anyway.

Anthony will be watched by a 24-hour security team, reports say.

No word yet on what she'll be studying, or if the security people will also make sure she completes all her homework assignments on time.

Casey Anthony has reported to probation in Florida, but don't expect a public address or list of her weekly requirements. Everything is TOP secret.

Anthony showed up at the Florida Department of Corrections last night to begin serving her one-year probation sentence for a check fraud case.

Casey, who was released from jail July 17 after being acquitted of murder in the death of 2-year-old daughter Caylee, had until Friday at noon to report.

She must remain in Florida for the next year to serve probation.

Anthony, Casey

Florida corrections officials said in a press release that given the strong potential for death threats against Casey Anthony, her file will be kept confidential.

The FDOC said, "The court has directed us to keep confidential the offender’s residence or any information that could lead to the discovery of her location."

This is due solely to "the death threats against her."

The statement continues, "Therefore, she will not be identified in our database, nor will her probation officer’s name or probation location be made public."
