Casey Anthony's lawyer Jose Baez is reportedly at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding meetings with all of the major TV networks.

NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview with the accused child murderer, and you can bet HUGE dollar amounts are involved.

Sources connected with the negotiations say there is a "big price tag."

The networks don't technically pay for interviews, however, they can offer to license photos and other material and pay whatever amount Baez asks.

NBC, which is paying for Baez's hotel room, looks like the frontrunner, but ABC is in the game, while CBS "is a distant third" to land the sit-down.

Baez spent part of last night in the hotel bar with famed lawyer Mark Geragos, whose clients include or included Michael Jackson, Susan McDougal (Whitewater), Greg Anderson (BALCO), Winona Ryder, Scott Peterson and Chris Brown.

Geragos, who is well-versed in high-profile cases and tricky negotiations such as this, reportedly gave Baez some advice in reaching a deal.

Whether or not Casey Anthony is back in Florida already, it looks like she'll only be in hiding - and flat broke - for so long.

The deluge of Casey Anthony death threats continues.

The accused murderer herself is in hiding, and if this continues, people associated with her - such as attorney Cheney Mason - may want to follow suit.

Mason's wife called 911 Tuesday, claiming someone told her "Your scumbag husband and Baez [Casey's other attorney] better sleep with one eye open."

Following this and several other reported threats, officials in Seminole County will perform multiple drive-bys daily to make sure the Masons are safe.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is working with the State Attorney to acquire phone records to track down the callers. Listen to the 911 call here:

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers saw what happened to Casey Anthony.

The doctor's legal team told the trial judge they don't want Nancy Grace to influence the jury - not that it worked in Anthony's case, with Grace eviscerating her daily - so they asked the judge to prohibit jurors from watching.

Why anyone would want to anyway is beyond us, but fair point.

Dr. Conrad Murray Gets Wet

Dr. Conrad Murray is free on bail as he awaits trial.

Attorney Michael Flanagan argued it's impractical to tell jurors they can't watch TV - because they simply will anyway - so he wants them sequestered.

We're talking full-on O.J. style.

The idea that Murray, who's charged with involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of Michael Jackson, can't receive a fair trial because of Nancy Grace is dubious, but the case will receive inordinate media scrutiny.

It was one of the prosecution's most damning pieces of evidence: Casey Anthony allegedly searched for the word "chloroform" on her computer 84 times.

During the trial, Casey's mom tried to cover for her daughter and said she actually checked Google for this term, but witnesses and work records later disproved that account. Still, of course, the jury deemed Casey not guilty of killing her two-year old child.

Casey Release Imminent

Now, John Bradley - a computer-forensics consultant who testified to these searches - has gone on record with The New York Times: Anthony only searched once for "chloroform," an error he realized during the trial and reported to the prosecution. But they reportedly ignored it and focused on the number 84.

Is Casey Anthony already back on her home turf?

A woman hidden under a sweater was whisked out of a small plane and into a building at an Orlando, Fla., airport on Tuesday, sparking rumors that the accused murderer might have already returned to central Florida.

The woman has approximately the same build as Anthony and was even wearing a hot pink top, as Casey was when she was released from jail Sunday.

Casey Anthony Sighting?

Moreover, the corporate plane in the WFTV News video appears to be the same Pilatus PC-12 owned by the firm of Anthony's former attorney, Todd Macaluso, who also was rumored to have helped her flee Florida after her release.

Anthony's current lawyer, Jose Baez, insists it's NOT her, however.

"It is not her. It is 100 percent not Casey Anthony," Baez told People. "We wouldn't bring her back to Orlando three days after she left, in broad daylight. It doesn't even look like her. This is Macaluso playing games."

With little money to her name, several lawsuits pending and a vitriolic public still calling for justice, Casey Anthony may have been better off in jail.

So where is Casey Anthony? Completely MIA since her early Sunday release from the Florida jail where she resided for three years, that's where.

Her attorneys wisely won't reveal her location or plans, but their calls to respect the verdict and leave Casey alone have largely gone unheeded.

The accused child killer could be in hiding in Carlsbad, Calif., near San Diego, according to a nwq report this morning on NBC's Today show.

Tracking the ownership of the Pilatus PC-12 private jet that whisked Anthony out of Orlando Sunday morning, NBC pointed to California attorney Todd Macaluso, who at one point had been a member of Casey's defense team.

Macaluso reportedly had given her $70,000.

Most people disagree with the jury's verdict and think Casey Anthony should still be behind bars. For her own safety and stability, maybe she should be.

The 25-year-old may be a free woman, but feels anything but, given the psychological trauma she's already suffered and the challenges she faces now.

"Her life is going to be very difficult for a very long time," attorney Cheney Mason said Monday regarding his client, whose whereabouts are unknown.

Her release from jail Sunday gives you an idea of what he means:

"As long as there are so many of the lynch-mob mentality, willing to deny that the jury found her not guilty, she's going to have issues," Mason added.

And there are quite a few. Entire Facebook groups are dedicated to finding ("Where Is Casey Anthony") and eviscerating "I Hate Casey Anthony") her.

But her lawyer says the hounding from the public, which has reacted with nothing short of vitriol since her July 5 acquittal, is only part of her troubles.

A little over 24 hours have passed since Casey Anthony's release from an Orlando, Fla., jail, and the accused child murderer's whereabouts are unclear.

Her attorney, Jose Baez, wants to keep it that way - and for the public to chill.

Appearing on Fox News, Baez urged angry citizens to leave Anthony alone and to start "respecting the jury verdict and decisions that the juries make.”

In the wake of numerous death threats, Photoshopped pictures depicting her death, “I Hate Casey Anthony” and “Where is Casey Anthony?” Facebook pages, and a general sense of rage, Baez expressed concern.

"Pundits and media personalities have no right to try to alter the life of any individual because of what they think may or may not have happened," he said.

Good luck trying to convince Nancy Grace of that.

Casey was acquitted July 5 of first-degree murder, manslaughter and aggravated child abuse in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Casey Anthony became a free woman early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, wearing blue jeans and a bright pink top, and with hundreds of protesters heckling her, the 25-year-old walked out of the front door of the Orange County Booking and Release Center in Orlando, Fla.

With her were attorney Jose Baez and two sheriff's deputies:

With the cash from her supporters and a police escort into a gray SUV, Anthony drove her into the hot Florida night, her destination unknown.

"She had a look of relief on her face," said photographer Tony Zumbado. "There was a smile on her face. She looked glad to be out of there."

Most people were not decidedly unhappy she's out of there.

An angry crowd of more than 300 people had formed outside the jail. Police on horseback tried to maintain control of the vitriolic mob scene.

In the aftermath of Casey Anthony's stunning acquittal, a proposed "Caylee’s Law" is gaining momentum in her native Florida as well as other states.

What would the new law entail?

Taking its name from Casey's deceased two-year-old, Caylee’s Law would make it a crime to not report a child missing or deceased after 24 hours.

Anthony, Casey

Talk of legislation began shortly after Casey Anthony was found not guilty of Caylee's murder. Petitions have already garnered 1.1 million signatures.

Among those signatures? George Anthony’s.

"This is a great legacy for my granddaughter. Other children still need assistance. If it reflects on my daughter, well, so be it," said Casey's father.

Several other states are also seriously considering adopting "Caylee’s Law." In Oregon, Rep. Shawn Lindsay said he’ll sponsor the law in his state.

Pushing for laws to protect kids and prevent future cases like this is a good use of time, energy and resources ... unlike sending Casey Anthony money.
