Carrie Underwood hearts being married to Mike Fisher, but keeps her personal life so private there are hardly any pictures of them together in public. Respect.

Opening up about her marriage in a rare interview, she tells People that given their careers, they haven't been together too much since their summer wedding.

But, the country singer adds, marriage is a perfect fit for her.

Mike Fisher, a.k.a. the Luckiest Man Alive, wed Carrie July 10.

"Mike is the missing piece to my puzzle – he's a few pieces," the American Idol champion says of her NHL star husband. "He makes me a better person."

While the winters in his native Canada can be rough ("I can't do cute heels in the winter!"), they're content to shuttle between Nashville and Ottawa homes.

"It's not like we have office jobs where one of you can transfer!" Underwood says, then states the obvious by noting that "It's not a conventional marriage."

Still, Carrie says marriage is something for which she gives thanks, along with other blessings, like her dog Ace and her family. All together now: Awww!

Both stars recently made a French connection of sorts, with plaiting just at the hairline to keep their waves beachy. It's a look that works best on both Jessica, who recently started dating Eric Johnson, and Carrie, who just married Mike Fisher.

Looks like July 10 was quite the day for celebrity weddings.

John Krasinski married Emily Blunt in Italy, while LaLa Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony tied the knot in NYC. But they weren't the only stars to exchange vows.

In Greensboro, Ga., Carrie Underwood married Mike Fisher!

The Grammy-winning singer and the NHL player wed at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, with more than 250 guests on hand to witness the bliss.

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the pair said.

The soon-to-be-newlyweds at this year's Grammy Awards.

During the ceremony, which featured the couple's favorite Bible verses and classical music, the bride walked down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier lace gown.

Security was tight, with the property closed to anyone not working at the hotel or instrumental in making the Carrie Underwood-Mike Fisher nuptials happen.

Even the road leading into the hotel was closed to traffic.

Speaking of privacy, the newlyweds were scheduled to spend their first night together as husband and wife in the Ritz's 5,400-square-foot Presidential House.

After Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got engaged last December after about a year together. Now they can get crackin' on that big family she wants!

Congratulations to the amazing and happy couple!

Said Carrie Underwood after winning Performance of the Year at the CMT Awards: "Awesome fans!" she said. "Awesome, awesome, amazing, awesome, awesome!"

That's pretty much our take on her.

Bride-to-be Carrie Underwood has her wedding day priorities set: Food.

She and Mike Fisher have set a wedding date, but it's "not one that we're openly talking about" and all she cares about is that it's "so laid back."

Not exactly a Bridezilla or someone looking for attention at every turn.

Imagine when someone agrees to marry Kim Kardashian. There will be easily 10-20 Tweets per hour updating us on every facet of the process.

Carrie and Mike have picked out the "food and we know where we're going to be - the big hurdles." Everything else? "We don't care," she says.

Mike, you got a keeper dude.

Reports say Mike Fisher will marry Carrie Underwood this summer.

Carrie got engaged to Mike Fisher in December. While they've done all they can to keep the details private, they are clearly smitten with each other.

"Everybody would always ask me questions like, 'What have you always dreamt of? This is your day,'" says the 27-year-old American Idol winner.

"But truthfully I never even thought about it until I was engaged. I wasn't one of those little girls. So I have no idea what I'm doing, basically!"

Somehow we think she'll manage.

The Academy of Country Music Awards brought out the best performers in that genre, and in the case of the two ladies below, some of the best in style.

Not that it's hard to look fashionable when you're perpetual country queen Carrie Underwood or Olympic skiing champion Lindsey Vonn. Not bad genes.

As we saw with Camila Alves and Faith Hill, the celebrity style showdown below pits one country superstar against a gorgeous, albeit out of place star.

Lindsey certainly can't compete with Carrie in the music department - she won Entertainer of the Year last night - but she is a gold medalist. So there!

One of the best young singers on the planet celebrates a birthday on this 10th day of March. No, not Miley Cyrus. No, not Justin Bieber (that was last week).
