Carrie Prejean has been through so much.

Following a series of nearly naked photos, the beauty queen was forced to expose her skin yet again at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant.

From there, she was asked a question by a judge, finished all the way in second place at the competition and then received far more national attention than if she had won.

It was a tough few weeks for Prejean, as the only motivation she even had for waking up each morning was the need to defend "opposite marriage" from the Satanic critics that dared to press her for more information on her views. The experience was barely worth the appearances fees and fame she accumulated.

Then, Donald Trump fired Carrie as Miss California and she was left to pick up the pieces with a book deal worth at least the six figures.

Indeed, Carrie Prejean will pen a tell-all memoir titled Still Standing, a perfect title for a woman that has suffered so much.

In the press release issued by Regnery Publishing, the company announced the book as follows:

[Prejean] will tell her side of the story, answering such questions as what happened behind the scenes at the pageant, why she answered the Perez Hilton question as she did, what really led to her losing the Miss California crown, and how she has been forced to battle the left's double-standard on free speech and the bias against conservatives who stand up for their beliefs.

God bless Carrie Prejean; and God bless copy editors. She's gonna need a bunch.

The war of words between the controversial and recently dispatched Miss California, Carrie Prejean, and the organization is becoming a game of legal chicken.

No one's showing signs of blinking, either.

The latest drama? The 22-year-old says she is gonna give the Miss California USA officials one last chance to clear her name - or she's gonna sue them.

In a letter Prejean's attorney just fired off to the lawyer representing the Miss California pageant honcho Keith Lewis, the attorney says Lewis defamed Carrie by making the embattled beauty queen seem uncooperative and difficult to deal with.

The letter also accused Lewis of using Carrie to push a gay agenda. He did not address Donald Trump's observation that Carrie treated people like $h!t.

The best part? Carrie's Prejean's lawyer says Keith Lewis had no right to release the 22-year-old's "confidential medical information" - i.e. her boob job.

The letter claims that Carrie has suffered "severe emotional distress" as a result of her treatment by the pageant association and its officials.

If Lewis doesn't recant his comments, Carrie's lawyer promises he will file suit.

The pageant's lawyers have threatened to sue back if she doesn't back off.

In the wake of her long-awaited dismissal last week, disgraced, former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has threatened to sue pageant officials for defamation.

Well, the pageant's lawyer fired off a letter to Carrie's lawyer, threatening to sue the 22-year-old lightning rod for what he calls "churlish insolent misbehavior."

The letter details alleged misdeeds which led to Carrie Prejean getting fired.

Those incidents include the facts that:

• Carrie lied in saying publicly that she did not ink a book deal.
• Carrie wrongfully turned down 39 pageant appearances since May 12.
• Carrie Prejean defamed pageant honcho Keith Lewis when she said he "pressured her to appear in Playboy." Lewis says he merely passed on the offer to Prejean, and never advocated the beauty queen take it.

• The letter also states that the self-serving moron was canned last week because of "intolerable misbehavior," citing "hostile communications from Carrie."
• The letter threatens this: "If Carrie Prejean wants to assert in public that she was courteous, cooperative or professional in her conduct as Miss California USA, the history of her churlish insolent misbehavior can be presented."

The lawyer demands that Carrie stop making defamatory remarks and recant the earlier ones she already made ... or else. Stay tuned there.

Carrie Prejean did not attend an event for the Special Olympics this weekend because she feared it would be awkward, now that she's no longer Miss California. (Way to put the kids ahead of your personal feelings, Carrie!)

But Hustler has come up with an idea that will make the gay-hating pageant queen feel right at home: an intimate meeting with fellow conservative beauty Sarah Palin.

Sort of.

The adult film company has offered Prejean $500,000 to appear in a movie titled You're Nailin' Palin. TMZ has released the actual letter sent to Carrie from Hustler. It reads:

Your scene would feature some hot girl-on-girl action with adult performer Lisa Ann, who's portraying the former VP candidate. Don't worry, you'll also have an opportunity to enjoy some opposite sex.

Should Carrie accept the offer? Think of all the gay marriage protest signs she could buy with the cash!

In an interview with The Today Show this morning, the woman who has taken over as Miss California - following the firing of Carrie Prejean - said she'd try her best to bring the state together.

"I was a little hesitant to be stepping into the line of fire, I'll be honest," she said. "There's been divisive questions. I've been brought in to try and unify our state. I'm not being silenced for my beliefs, but I just think that this isn't a battle that anybody can win, so I'm going to do my best to just refocus it on some of the other aspects."

Meanwhile, pageant director Keith Lewis sat alongside Farrell and commented on Prejean's dismissal.

He said the narrow-minded, immature beauty queen missed "tens and tens and tens" of appearances, while insisting that she wasn't dethroned for her political views.

"I think it's time for us to move back this political platform that she was fired because of her beliefs, because that dog just won't hunt," Lewis said.

As our staff tried to calmly explain earlier, Lewis compared this decision to the laying off an employee at any job.

"I think if you tell your boss, 'I'm not gonna do the job, I'm gonna do whatever I want, you can't tell me what I’m gonna do,' I think that you expect that your boss is gonna say to you, You know what? You're probably not supposed to be in this job anymore.

"It was just very difficult for us, and we tried to meet halfway, and it was obvious that wasn't going to happen. Finally, there was a point when the organization really had to stand up and say, You know what? It's time for us to move on and get back to the business of beauty."

How did Carrie react to her firing? She mentioned America, misunderstood the concept of "freedom of speech" and referenced God four times in just a few sentences.

Hahahaha, Carrie Prejean supporters. Ur so gr8.

Sorry, we're just trying to speak the language of the woman you hold in such high regard, based on a few sentences she uttered.

After Prejean was fired as Miss California yesterday, the inarticulate beauty queen fired back at the pageant. She claimed that the decision was purely political and that she had done everything the organization had asked of her.

Carrie is lying.

Fox News has uncovered a series of emails between Prejean and Miss California director Keith Lewis. In the first, Carrie makes it clear that she expects to be notified of ALL offers that come her way. But does she do it in a calm, reasonable, mature manner? Not even close:

Carrie supporters have erroneously claimed that the pageant was requiring her to take on unreasonable tasks, as a means to forcing her out. One reader suggested Prejean was being made to "do porn" and enter a "hot warzone."

But this email makes it clear just how much Prejean is a bitch did not grasp the concept that she was the employee of a company; as long as she represented them via the crown on her head, she had no right telling her employers what she was planning to do.

Incredibly, Lewis handled the outburst with class and professionalism. He wrote back:

Then, of course, there's the accusation that Miss California officials were somehow forcing Prejean to pose for Playboy. Once again, we turn to electronic mail exchanges as proof to the contrary. Such an offer appears to be the topic of conversation below:

OF COURSE THE PAGEANT CAN MAKE MONEY OFF CARRIE'S APPEARANCES! SHE WORKS FOR IT!

For a final time, to Prejean and her supporters: the First Amendment protects one from being imprisoned for speaking one's mind. It has absoluetly nothing to do with an employee being obligated to behave in a manner that is consistent with her employer's requests.

Otherwise, no one would ever get fired. Hey, you can't let me go for revealing company secrets to our rival? What about freedom of speech?!?

That's all that was ever going on here. Carrie Prejean did not follow the rules stipulated in a contract that she signed. It's not complicated.

Carrie Prejean has earned respect, from a certain segment of the population, for speaking her mind.

As you might expect, she's doing so again in the face of today's unexpected firing as Miss California USA.

When asked by TMZ why she had her title stripped, Prejean played the political card again:

"What's behind this I think is a political debate. They don't agree with the stance that I took [on Prop 8]. Shanna [Moakler] is trying to bash me. They don't like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted."

But, if that was actually the case, why wouldn't Prejean have been fired weeks ago? Heck, Moakler doesn't even work for the organization anymore!

Sorry, Tami Farrell, but you'll never make the sort of headlines your Miss California predecessor has become famous for.

Prejean also complains that pageant official Keith Lewis approached her last month about take two gigs: an appearance on I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! and an offer to pose in Playboy for $140,000; Carrie rejected both.

Lewis, meanwhile, says he simply made Prejean aware that the options existed, which she had insisted he do for all incoming offers.

Why did Carrie even make this information public? To make the pageant seem like it trying to exploit her fame? If that was the case, why would they want her out of there, as she claimed above?!?

As for Donald Trump, the man that actually gave Prejean the axe?

Even Donald Trump has grown tired of Carrie Prejean.

While Bible thumpers and gay marriage haters continue to stand behind the beauty queen, based on one mumbled response during the Miss USA Pageant, we can officially report that her time has come:

Prejean has been fired as Miss California for breach of contract.

Sources connected with the pageant have told TMZ that Trump took away Carrie's crown because she continually violated her contract by not receiving clearance to give various interviews and appear at various events.

Moreover, Prejean was MIA for appearances she had been booked for on behalf of Miss California.

In reference to the woman that claims to live by the Bible, Trump said Carrie treats everyone "like $hit." Hmmm, is there a verse people can cite to defend her for being a bitch?

FINALLY: After posing half-naked, lying about her photos and ignoring her contractual obligations as Miss California, Carrie Prejean has been fired from the post.

As much as Christian Conservatives will bitch and moan, all indications are that the decision is purely based on Prejean's contract snubbing; NOT her political/moral views.

“This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations,” one of the producers of the pageant  said in documents obtained by FOX News. “After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.”

Step up, Tami Farrell, you're the new Miss California USA. (Thank goodness!)

A couple weeks ago, Shanna Moakler resigned her post with the Miss California pageant, citing the lying, manipulative, deceitful ways of winner Carrie Prejean.

Ever since, the former Miss USA champion has faced a mountain of criticism, most referring to her as a hypocrite for calling out Carrie on posing naked. After all, didn't Shanna bare all in Playboy?

"For the people who are like, 'How can you say this? You have this persona, and your personal relationship is a mess, and you posed for Playboy,'" Moakler said to Us Weekly, "I'm not a title holder. I'm not in a contract. I posed for Playboy years after I was a title holder."

That's a good point; though the naked pictorial still gives Moakler slightly shakier ground to stand on.

As for Prejean, please tell us how you really feel about her, Shanna.

"Carrie is very, very nice when she wants something. And when it's her turn to do her end of the deal, it's very complicated. She's late, she doesn't show up. It's always a problem. I can deal with difficult, but I  can't deal with nasty and she was getting nasty."

Moreover, Moaker says Prejean sent her hurtful emails after the press conference, taunting Shanna and saying she "should be thanking [Prejean] for extending my fifteen minutes."

Moakler also said Carrie sent several biblical quotes "that I felt were inappropriate."

Wait, Prejean tried to impose her personai views on someone else? That doesn't sound like her at all!
