I totally think Miss California Carrie Prejean is more beautiful than Miss North Carolina...no doubt about it, but Miss NC is beautiful too.

I am heartened to see that there was at least one person involved in the Miss California Pageant that has integrity, guts, poise, inner beauty and outer beauty to rate being called a real LADY.
Until the pageant apologizes to Carrie Prejean, denounces Keith Lewis and throws the bum out, I must assume that there are no other ladies and certainly no gentlemen in the organization.

Okay, so what she spoke her mind, that's why they asked her the question, if they were afraid she was going to answer that way they shouldn't have asked that question. I believe in Traditional Marriage, I have a gay friend so what, I mean I'm not going to judge them for that, I'm just not going to do that. Just leave Carrie alone already.

Miss California, thanks for taking a stand and not being ashamed for what is right. Homosexuality (same sex marriage) is an abomination unto God and one day they will see. America is becoming a modern Sodom,(not just because of this issue but many) and we are about to make God really mad. I believe God is raising up a people to take a stand for what is right, I believe you are a voice let it be heard. You are a great role model, you are also very beautiful, be proud. You said what you held in your heart to be true, morally, and ethically true. Political thoughts aside, which are more recently driven by economical virtues, dictating who gets the next dollar. Marriage is, was and always will be held as a religous value where a man and a woman unite in matrimony to share their lives, and provide a home for children to continue and advance our race, the human race.
Love shared between two people is and should remain intimate between them, and no one else. The political venue aside, the tax breaks, the so called perks of marriage is all that is being garnered here. They wanted a polically correct statement to support the same sex marriages for that reason alone. In my eyes there is no such thing as a marriage between two women or two men, it is nothing more than a relationship. To artificially condone, or openly support such is pure stupidity.
You will wear your crown in heaven, Carrie. And in my eyes its already there.
Congress and state legislationscan act to provide for economic sanctions to cover the loss of benefits for "marriage" with out the rest of us having to have this shoved down our throats, and candy coated. They need to address this with some common sense.

Carrie is a Good Christian to state her belief's with knowing how much flack she was going to receive.As a Christian myself,I am So Proud Of Carrie.Most would have uttered what the world wants them too.Part of being a christian is standing up for your belief's when you face adverse condition's...if someone had a gun to my head and if i say I'm a christian he will shoot me,would i stand strong.

I was shocked that the Miss Universe Pageant had included Mr. Perez Hilton as a judge. Who put the contest up to that? Also that that kind of question was asked at all. Mr. Perez Hilton responded in a manner that was befitting him..that s a great way to sell gay and lesbian issues... by calling someone a dumb bitch and frowning. The answer was a personal one. That should have no bearing on how she would be as a winner. She stated that that was her belief but that she didn't condemn others for believing otherwise. What has Miss Universe stood for all these years? I applaud her for her guts.

Gay marraige is a complex issue, but I admire someone who stands up for their beliefs, even if I may not fully agree. It is refreshing and unusual to hear someone say something that is not the usual vacuous political blather. That is who should be queen!

I think that Carrie was right. God intendid marriage to be between a man and a woman, not between two men or two women. It is also rediculos that she lost the title (lets face it she wouldve won) for her personal views. What ever happened to the first amandment, it went to hell thats what. This is what happens when God is taken from society, we decline, before the drug age of the 1960's you rarly heard of divorce, teenage pregnancy, but sadly the world is now filled with sinning scum.

it is a sad state of affairs in the world right now and i simply cannot understand why in a nation with one of the best educating systems in the world there is so much hate, but above all ignorance. i am extremely frustrated and tired of my fellow americans cowering behind religion when in fact an overwhelming majority of you "christians" are complete and utter hypocrites. have you ever eaten shrimp? do you were poly-blended fabric? does your wife speak in church? these are all punishable religious offenses but yet for some reason you choose to ignore them, and that in fact is all you ever do. pick and choose the parts of the bible that exclude others and make yourself feel superior. it's my impression that religion is supposed to be all inclusive (maybe that's it! maybe you don't know what INCLUSIVE means!), why then my friends do you choose to ostracize and discriminate? it's because you have never been oppressed and have no idea what if feels like to not feel safe walking down the street or have some of the most foul and degrading names called out at you. you choose to hide like cowards behind your "holy" book instead of having the courage to embrace something different from you. i do not feel it took miss california any courage to say the things she said, i do feel that she has a right to her own opinion, but her answer to the question posed echos that of the religious majority, and never takes any guts to be a part of the majority.

I dont want my Miss America to be someone who discriminates over peoples happiness. 10-20 years from now, people are going to look back including her, and realize that this is discrimination. How many years ago were we against bi-racial marriages? What is she going to tell her children or grandchildren someday if they end up being Gay or Lesbian? HA! My anger on Perez's conduct is on two levels, one that hollywood continues to believe that the normal American agrees with him, and secondly is that the Miss America pagent condones his behavior of berating a contestant for an honest answer. It was not the answer that he wanted, so she was a target for his prejudice, and for hollywood's that in trying to play both sides of the fence again, got it wrong again. Americans no matter what color, religion, race or sex are not in the majority prejudiced against gay rights, we are angered by the overt expression of prejudice by anyone, including those in agreement with Perez's distorted views of what is right. I could go on for hours about self absorbed, egotistical people such as Perez, or false and brown nose people that exist in hollywood but everyone knows and for the most part ignores them. Ms. Prejean has ultra conservative thinking. I do not think unltra conservative is healthy. Since her response to what she thinks marriage is. Honestly her excuse is merely that. An excuse. Many people are raised with excuses to have a narrow mind and view marriage as an institution where women are only meant to have babies and tolerate the man. Yuck! Her French upbringing and indoctrinations are nauseating to me having been raised and indoctrinated in the same way by French folks in the State of Vermont and surrounding areas.
She answered the question. But not very well. We all know the contract of Marriage is between two consenting adults. Most folks who share her beliefs require procreation as the entire point of the institution of marriage. Gender is an accident of birth as well as everything else about us human beings. As a result most institutional and traditional marriages are not worth the paper they are printed on. This is why divorce is so high. If she is the cream of the crop in the pagent then none of the contestants are worth much in my opinion. Good luck to her. She will need as much luck as she can get. I'm sure men will enjoy poking, rocking and riding her holes, all three of them. That is what men do. Hopefully she is not as cheap as she sounds.
