Carrie believes, as most of society has taught, that marriage has gender restrictions. Her answer was what she believed was worth choosing. If all the Miss USA pageant mothers were lesbians and their fathers were gay, would there be a Miss USA pageant? Why?

Carrie did great by answering the stupid liberal question honestly. Perez has disgraced the pageant and insulted a person with integrity. He is a loser and always will be with his outrageous comments about Carrie. Perez can go and cry in the corner with all the other entitled losers. Why was he a judge for the Miss USA pageant anyway? He doesn't like women and was probably jealous that he was not in the competition. God save this country if there is ever a Mr. Gay USA pageant !!!!!

You have my vote but with all sincerity, why on earth would you want to allow your beauty and talent represent a country whose moral values have gone to hell and back? Gay is not Okay, and when people take the blinders from their eyes and come down to earth, hopefully they will see it. I'm not a "religious" woman but I believe in God...a god that created a man and a woman for marriage but destroyed an entire city because of their "Homosexual, godless activities" sic Sodom and Gomorrah.
You are Miss USA in my eyes and I'm sure in most of the true american citizens with good moral values.

Carrie Prejean answered the question with honesty, dignity, tolerance and respect...a question designed to hurt her.
I have noticed that gay activists, like Perez Hilton, preach unlimited tolerance but consistently are the most intolerant, disrectful, manipulative and dishonest people who seem to love to take the low road. She totally outclassed him and continues to do so. What's really sad, is if Mr Hilton and his kind have their way, there will be an end to the free speech expression of any idea or thought different than their "approved" ones. Big Brother is here!

Carrie does many of us who realize that the greater our standards and morals decline, the greater jeopardy this country is headed for. It is truly a sad state of affairs when there are degenerates that would call reasonable, intelligent people "unenlightened" when we are the only ones who seem to understand some simple concepts such as:
1) gay relationships are incapable of producing offspring; a third party of an opposite gender must intervene to make that possible; 2) Gay men have sex using a filthy body cavity which was designed by God for use as a waste elimination outlet; 3)Regardless of what one thinks they are, they still have a choice, no matter how wrong it might feel to them, who they share their bed with; 4) we need to put our foot down and protect the things that made this country great and stop allowing activities (like gay marriage) that weaken this nation and it's values

According to dictionary.com the definition of marriage is:

–noun 1. the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.
If gays want to live together,or do anything else together it is their decision. No one else should be involved, not a politician, a clergyman or a justice of the peace. Marriage should never be an option because Marriage is the holy union of one man and one woman.
I applaud this woman for her dignity and her strength to tell the truth.

I am encouraged to see that whether people agreed with Miss California's stance on gay marriage or not, they seem to be acting like Americans and standing up for her right to say what she believes. I don't believe in gay marriage, because it is sin... pure and simple. The reason gays are so angry and defensive is because they are so miserable. If a person believes in God and what the Bible says, there is no way they can be happy about their lifestyle...and even if they say they don't believe in Him, they are saying that because if they 'did' believe, they would have to submit to His authority...people hate authority! Ever notice that? One thing is for sure...Miss California has nothing to lose even if she were wrong (which she's not). But just think what all the one's who won't submit to God will have to lose on judgement day if they are wrong (which they are). I have attended people who are dying who are Christians and who are not...there is soooooo much difference. It is not pretty when the demons of hell come for a person who has not submitted their lives to Jesus...Do it now!!

I am thrilled that despite the pressure to be politically correct in order to "win a pageant" she decided to speak her heart and "win the crown" maybe not Miss USA but that's just a bunch of rhinestones. The flower withers and the grass fades but the word of God abides forever. It was refreshing especially in this world to see somebody stand up and say "THIS" is what I believe....You're entitled to YOUR opinion, but THIS is mine. I knew the second the comments left her mouth she was setting herself up for press cruxificition! So few people these days follow the strength of their convictions. My hat is off to her. She spoke HER mind and she not be coming under this kind of negative persecution for doing so. Perez Hilton is entitled to HIS opinion...but that's all it is HIS opinion. She is certainly free to express her mind as well. Thing is...that agenda wants to squash peoples' rights to do so. They label it "hate speech" I call it your God given right to free speech!!

You should never ask anyone a question if you are not truly respectful of whatever their answer will be. Perez was fishing -- either for support of his position or for a fight. It isn't a fair thing to do to anyone, nor is it American to drive anyone into the closet, whether it be to keep their sexuality or their opinions censored.
Let's be real here, she never criticized gay people -- she is just being stigmatized for giving her honest OPINION. When we can no longer do that, then we will be living in a dangerous society. I don't care where your opinion falls on this issue, what happened to her is the same type of bigotry the people who are slamming her say they are fighting against. Either we are all free to be honest or none of us are.

I don't agree about what she feels towards the gay community and their rights. Although my beliefs are different than hers. I don't think she should be attacked or booed because it was all her. She was being real and wasn't faking like probably the other bitches were just so they could win. I mean, look at some of the past Miss USA winners. Being fake got their faces humiliated because they weren't what they seemed at the pageant. I'm just saying we all gotta be real and accept people's answers though we may disagree. It's America and being real is beautiful, and please, let's not forget our first ammendment!

That's one great example I can point to my daughter and say, "look at Miss California USA, she rocks, she loves the Lord, and she stood for Him when the world was watching. Do we not live in a Country with Freedom of Speech?
We all have opinions. What I beleive and what you beleive may be two seperate things; however, it does not make you right nor doe it make me right. Belittling someone and ridiculing them for what they believe is downright disgusting for the belittler.
Would you not stand on what YOU beleive?

Good for you Carrie, everyone has an opinion and is intitled to it. You don't have to agree with an opinion but you should respect someone elses one.
