Former Scrubs star Donald Faison and girlfriend Cacee Cobb, Jessica Simpson's BFF and former personal assistant, are engaged, People reports.

The news was first spread by Faison's Scrubs costar Zach Braff, Tweeting: "Congrats to @donald_faison and @caceecobb on their engagement."

"Just wish I was there to run around you both with sparklers."

Faison, 37, has a son from a previous marriage. It will be the first for Cobb, 33, a pal and former personal assistant to Jessica Simpson, with whom she co-starred on The Price of Beauty, and prior to that, on Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.

For his part, Faison Tweeted Friday, "If you like it then you better put a Ring on it. – Beyonce," with Cobb replying, "If she likes it then she better say YES!!"

Ah, true love in the age of Twitter.

Reeling from getting dumped by Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson rallied over the weekend the only way she knows how - partying with her girlfriends.

Jess, who just celebrated her 29th birthday, was joined by CaCee Cobb, Adrienne Sands and stylist Nicole Chavez for a quality girls' night out.

"Love my ladies!!!" Jessica Simpson posted on her Twitter account. "Wish I could be with them everyday of my life. Laughter is wonderful :)"

The next day, Simpson spent the evening with another one of her favorite ladies: Her mom. While watching the movie Great Expectations together, Tina Simpson teased her daughter on Twitter, saying:

"Seriously... [Jessica Simpson] will not stop talking about everything GREEN in this movie! I may puke 'GREEN'! BUT I love that she sees 'GREEN'!"

Simpson's heart may be broken, but she has managed to keep a low profile since her very public breakup with Dallas Cowboys QB Romo - which some believe came following some ill-advised John Mayer texts.

While the NFL star has been spotted recently hopping around the clubs in L.A. and casinos in Lake Tahoe, a source close to Simpson says the newly minted bachelorette "is surrounding herself with a network of support."

That doesn't include getting back together with Nick Lachey. But Jessica's hunky ex-husband does wish her the best, as he always has.

Arizona quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart welcomed his first child with girlfriend Brynn Cameron yesterday morning.

The couple has named its young son Cole Cameron Leinart.

Prior to dating Cameron, the USC graduate was quite the player on the dating scene in SoCal. He has been linked with the likes of Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson's former assistant, Cacee Cobb, and Kristin Cavallari of Laguna Beach fame.

Leinart has been dating Cameron since February 2005, when they met during study hall at USC. She was doing schoolwork; Matt was "studying" chicks. Too bad he couldn't have added Lindsay Lohan to his list of conquests before settling on Brynn -- we all know it would have been easy.

Just kidding. Zach Braff was not even in the same pic as those two.

Did we fool you? If so, sorry. But were we really lying? He probably would want to hit that -- the Scrubs star is single, and a red-blooded male, after all.

Nevertheless, it's his Scrubs co-star, Donald Faison, who's moving in on that piece. They're dating. In this pic, he's escorting the lovely CaCee Cobb to the L.A. hot spot Hyde, which may be the only club in Southern California.

Cobb, of course, is the former BFF and personal assistant to Ms. Jessica Simpson. Emphasis on former. She couldn't hack it after awhile. It's a hard life, being a celebrity's bitch and having a retarded name, to boot. Listening, Rumer Willis?

In the picture at left, Braff was attending the Hollywood screening of the Lifetime film, Why I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy, which stars another Scrubs cast member, Sarah Chalke. Braff did hit that piece. On screen at least.
