It's a depressing time to be a sports fan, isn't it?

The Vikings have suspended Adrian Peterson until his child abuse case is resolved. That Ray Rice video of the Baltimore Ravens running back punching out his fiancee continues to send shudders around the NFL. And Derek Jeter is about to retire.

So thank goodness for Bryan Cranston.

The Emmy Award-winning actor is featured in the following ad for the Major League Baseball postseason, starring in a pretend one-man show that depicts Cranston as Jeter, Carlton Fisk, Kirk Gibson and other all-time greats.

He reenacts famous plays. He takes a ballerina class. He dons eye black.

This is a man who created arguably the most iconic character in television history... yet this commercial is his finest work to date. It's amazing. It's hilarious. And it's an absolute must-watch:

Bryan Cranston for ALL the awards, people. Emmys. Oscars. MVP trophies. Just send all shipments to this star forever and ever.

Fans of cosplay, prepare to have your worlds rocked! Everyone's getting in on the fantasy dress-up action, including the actors who bring your favorite characters to life!

Steve Carell
Steve Carell voiced Gru in Despicable Me I and II. To promote the second film, Carell appeared on Ellen and did the entire segment in character.

For talk show appearances and magazine spreads, our favorite voice actors are getting into character only to be outdone by the actors who show up at Comic Con dressed like, well, um...themselves?

They're real people just like us! But dressed as... the characters they play on TV! Okay, so it's hard to explain if you think about it for too long.

Lending voice to cartoon characters is a treat for Hollywood's best and brightest, and a legitimate career path for people like Rachel FredericksonThe Biggest Loser winner.

Let's take a look at a few more voice actors we'd love to see dressed in character in the real world.

Bryan Cranston might have hung up his Heisenberg hat, but if there's one thing we know after watching the 2014 Emmy Awards it's that the world can't get enough of Walter White.

Not only did Cranston and his Breaking Bad cohorts rack up an impressive 5 Emmy wins during the telecast, but he also racked up an impressive number of lip locks.

The most infamous of which will forever be that funny moment when Cranston kissed Julia Louis-Dreyfus. What can we say!? The man was excited!

Elsewhere, Sarah Silverman displayed some odd behavior, which is really nothing new for Sarah Silverman, so there's that. Oh, and shade was most definitely thrown.

In the direction of Jessica Lange, of all people. Say what now? Sit back, relax, and click through this gallery of the 2014 Emmy Awards in GIFs to relive the night's best moments:

Bryan Cranston and Julia Louis-Dreyfus were winners in more ways than one at the 2014 Emmy Awards.

Both stars took home actual Emmys Awards, with Cranston winning his fourth for Breaking Bad and Louis-Dreyfus her third for Veep (she has incredibly won Leading Actress in a Comedy for three different shows).

But they also won the funny bones of viewers everywhere after they presented on stage together and Louis-Dreyfus joked that Cranston looks a lot like the actor who played a dentist in Seinfeld years ago.

That was me, Cranston insisted. We had a kissing scene together!

Cut to a few minutes later. The actress wins her award. Cranston cuts her off and plants a HUGE kiss on her lips.

Louis-Dreyfus then gets to the podium, looks a bit wobbly and concludes: Oh, yeah. He was on Seinfeld.

To steal a line from Seinfeld: comedic gold, people.

The Primetime Emmy Awards are being held a little earlier than usual this year, and so in order to avoid competing with preseason football and the 2014 Video Music Awards, the ceremony is being held on a Monday for the first time in 38 years.

But if you're feeling a bit confused, worry not!

For one thing, the show is unlikely to feature anything as unexpected as Miley Cyrus' homeless date to the VMAs. In addition, we've got everything you need to no about who's gonna take home the gold tonight in the handy gallery below:

Best Drama Series: Will Win - Breaking Bad
Expect a repeat win for the final season of the groundbreaking AMC drama.

If last fall's Breaking Bad finale left you fiending for more Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, then today's your lucky day, b-tch!

Well kinda. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are working together again, but sadly, they're no longer filling the streets of Albuquerque with that sweet blue crystal.

Instead, they're attempting to buy Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Emmy so that she can make good on a drunken promise to buy an island, which is the next best thing when you think about it.

Look it'll all make sense when you watch the clip:

Sure, "Barely Legal Pawn" is a little lighter in tone than BB, but it features a lot of the elements that helped make the AMC series a classic:

Some were brought together by music, others by meth. One couple bonded over religion, two more over humor. One friendship started in Boston, another in the halls of a fictional hospital.

But the following famous bromances all have one thing in common, as sang by the very first pairing listed below:

Guy love, that’s all it is... Guy love, he’s mine I’m his... There’s nothing gay about it in our eyes... It’s guy love, between two guys.

Indeed, J.D. and Turk had it right a long time ago on Scrubs.

It's always fun when two male pals hit it off in Hollywood. Flip through the top 13 friendships of this nature below and sing it loud and proud: It's guy love!

Spoiler Alert: The much-discussed series finale of Breaking Bad showed chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-kingpin Walter White finally succumbing to the many forces that were trying to kill him and dying alone in a high-end meth lab.

Or did it?

Bryan Cranston as Walter White

In a recent interview with CNN, actor Bryan Cranston discussed the possibility that the man known to many only as "Heisenberg" may have lived to cook another day, having somehow survived a seemingly fatal bullet wound (and lung cancer).

"Hey you never saw bags zip up or anything," said Cranston in a response to a question about whether or not Walt survived the finale.

Asked point-blank, "Is he dead?" Cranston replied, simply, "I don't know."

Then came the part that's really got fans tweaking: on the possibility of a movie featuring the talented Mr. White, Cranston said coyly, "Never say never."

The Tonight Show provided us with another hilarious viral moment on Monday.

A few days after Jimmy Fallon lost a lip-sync battle to Emma Stone and Cameron Diaz photobombed tourists on the roof of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Bryan Cranston stopped by the program for a game of Word Sneak.

For the game, each star was challenged to use five words into a conversation - including “badonkadonk,” a term that the Breaking Bad actor butchered before turning to the audience and mouthing:

“I don’t know what that is!"

Watch the entire video now. It's totally adorable:

Looks like Cranston may be the one who knocks, but he's never the one who has knocked boots with someone who looks like Kim Kardashian.

No one says no to Heisenberg. Absolutely no one.

That's what Stefan Montana was banking on when he approached Bryan Cranston for help asking a girl to prom. Cranston, ever the good guy he seems to be, obliged, reciting the line the teen gave him and once again donning his Breaking Bad persona, Walter White.

It worked! Stefan later tweeted "@BryanCranston she said yes!!"

Montana approached Cranston for the prom-posal assist outside the theater for Cranston's Broadway show All The Way.

With the KFC chicken corsage prom-posals and now this, asking a date to prom isn't as simple as it used to be, that's for sure.
