No offense to Bruno Mars, who is unquestionably one of the most talented musicians in the business today, but what is the guy doing on the cover of Playboy?

Okay, we'll give him a pass, because Playmate of the Month Raquel Pomplun also appears on the cover (albeit secondarily), and it is the Sex + Music Issue.

Those two things intertwined? Who would've guessed?

Bruno Mars Playboy Cover

The 26-year-old "Grenade" entertainer is only the 10th man to appear on the cover, ever, in almost 60 years of Hugh Hefner's publication. Impressive.

Going back almost that far, Bruno Mars says the musicians he looked up to were old school: Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley.

On the musician he’d most like to work with if he could, he says Hendrix.

"I think he’s the greatest guitar player in the world, and I would want to see him do his thing in person. He’s the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place.”

Two of the slickest superstars on the planet are pitted against each other in this Fashion Face-Off.

First, we have LL Cool J, the host of the 2012 Grammy Awards, who had the unenviable task last night of MCing an event over which a pall had been cast, due to Whitney Houston's tragic death. But the actor/rapper kicked off the ceremony with a prayer and handled his duties as well as could be expected.

His competition? Bruno Mars, producer/performer extraordinaire, and possibly the most talented man in the music business today.

Compare. Contrast. And vote between these icons below:

The X Factor did everything in pairs on Wednesday night.

First, the competition sent two contestants packing as the impressive runs of both Lakoda Rayne and LeRoy Bell came to an end. Also, the show featured two wildly popular acts, as both Kelly Clarkson and Bruno Mars put on renditions of their latest hits.

Watch the former American Idol belt out a version of "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" below, followed by Bruno Mars with "It Will Rain."

Bruno Mars is probably the biggest name included on the Breaking Dawn soundtrack, which will hit stores on November 8 and feature these artists and singles.

Now, the multi-talented writer/singer has made available the song that will be heard at some point in the film. It's titled "It Will Rain" and we can't verify when or why it appears in part one of the final Twilight installment. But we can give readers a chance to listen to it here:

"I wanna ***** thank everyone *****. I've been dreaming about this **** since I was 9! I just wanna ***! I can't *** & ****." - Tyler, The Creator.

Tyler The Creator was among the MTV VMA winners Sunday, but a slam of Bruno Mars and expletive-laden acceptance speech drew more buzz.

Fortunately, he won't be killing himself. We think.

During the pre-show, when Tyler realized he was at the bottom of MTV's Tweet Tracker and Bruno Mars was up top, he told MTV host Sway that Mars' music "sucked" and if he lost the Best New Artist award to Mars, "I might kill myself."

He did not. Tyler The Creator won for "Yonkers" (below). Did he deserve it?

Put your lighters in the air, music fans, and give it up for Bruno Mars, Eminem and Royce da 5'9″.

This trio has collaborated on the track that currently sits at number-five on the Billboard Hot 100. You've likely already heard "Lighters," but we've posted the newly-released official video for the single below.

It features Slim Shady navigating his way through a dark chamber, with a road flare as his only illumination. He soon comes across Royce in a jail cell, as the pair finds its way above ground and Mars just does his thing on the piano throughout...

Peanut butter and jelly. Kim Kardashian and giant breasts. Blake Lively and a camera phone.

Some things just go together well. Consider Bruno Mars and Eminem as part that grouping.

The music heavyweights have collaborated on "Lighters," a track that also features Royce da 5′9″ and which will be featured on "Bad Meets Evil Hell: The Sequel," Royce's upcoming album with Eminem (out June 14).

Listen to the single below, as Mars sings on the refrain: This one’s for you and me living out our dreams, we’re all right where we should be. With my arms out wide, I open my eyes and now all I want to see is a sky full of lighters.

Grammy-winner Bruno Mars, last season's finalist Crystal Bowersox and the departing Casey Abrams all performed live on American Idol on Thursday night.

While Casey's elimination was another surprise in a season packed with unexpected American Idol results, he enjoyed a nice run and proved worthy of a save.

Unfortunately, the judges couldn't bail him out a second time last night.

Watch Casey go out in style with his jazzy swan song, "I Put a Spell on You," followed by the performances of Bruno and Crystal below ...
