Brooke Mueller is safely as home in California at the moment, but her legal troubles are far from over.

Three days after her arrest on charges of drug possession and assault, a judge permitted Charlie Sheen's ex-wife to fly back with her twin sons in order to take care of them. But she's due back in Aspen for a hearing in December 19.

So, what actually went down Friday night? According to The Aspen Daily News, Muller was approached by police around midnight at the nightclub Escobar (where she danced up a storm) after a woman at a different establishment claimed Brooke punched her in the face.

Cops then searched the troubled reality star and discovered over four grams of cocaine on her person. She was arrested and sent to a local jail before Sheen posted $11,000 bond.

Mueller has been in and out of rehab over the years and is reportedly talking with friends now, trying to decide whether she needs to enter another treatment program.

According to witnesses, video and arrest records, Brooke Mueller spent Friday night in Aspen drinking, partying, dancing and assaulting.

She's now free on $11,000 bond... thanks to a certain famous, former drug-loving ex-husband.

That's right: Radar Online reports that Charlie Sheen posted his ex-wife's bond, which shouldn't come as a major surprise because he and Brooke have grown close again over the last few weeks.

But why didn't any immediate family members step up?

They "wanted to leave her in jail," a source claims, adding that Mueller's loved one are "done with her" and believe she must get clean... "or she is going to die."

Mueller has been in and out of rehab on numerous occasions. There are still scant details available regarding the latest incident, but documents show she was booked for cocaine possession and third degree assault.

The website claims this video was shot just moments before the police showed up at the nightclub and booked Brooke on the aforementioned counts. She is currently free on $11,000 bond.

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife - and the mother of his twin sons - was arrested last night in Aspen, TMZ reports. Law enforcement officials say Mueller was booked on suspicious of felony cocaine possession, along with third degree assault.

Not many details are known at the moment, but Mueller was released from Pitkin County Jail early this morning on $11,000 bond.

But the troubled celebrity is still fighting mad, aiming her anger at a treatment facility where she spent time in March of 2010.

Mueller has filed a lawsuit against The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu because she believes staff members there leaked confidential medical information to the press.

It is true that Brooke's patient admissions forms were submitted to websites such as TMZ last spring, though that celebrity gossip outlet did not publish the documents.

Mueller is suing for undisclosed damages because she believes her privacy was violated.

With Charlie Sheen having taken Brooke Mueller down to Mexico for a few days, rumors are now circulating that this former couple is giving it another shot. But the actor insists there is nothing to the trip aside from friendship.

Perhaps Charlie Sheen really is a changed man.

The actor has touched down with ex-wife Brooke Mueller in Mexico, telling TMZ the trip is actually a reward for the troubled mother of his twins because she's been "busting her ass with the boys, and [she's] more sober and healthy than I've ever seen her."

Sheen has made it his goal to get Brooke on a proper path, paying for her treatment with a team of doctors he trusts. It's amazing how far these two have come.

It was only February, according to court documents, when Sheen lamented the fact that he didn't kill Muller during their infamous, dangerous fight on Christmas Day 2009. Glad to see they're getting along now!

This thought would have been comical a few months ago, but the actor has recently been taking steps to get his loved ones in order. Most recent case in point: paying for Brooke Mueller's rehab and finding her a team of trustworthy doctors.

On Sunday, meanwhile, the former couple posed for a portrait with twin sons Bob and Max. They look like a regular, happy family, don't they?

"Harmony is our goal," Sheen told TMZ, saying the kids played around with their parents and ate candy all day. "Sunday was a wonderful start."

When Mueller is finished with her latest round of treatment, Sheen says he wants her to find a home in his neighborhood. Could the troubled star actually, finally have discovered the true meaning of "winning?"

She's back in the United States, undergoing treatment recommended, and paid for, by Sheen.

The relationship between Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller is more complicated then the plot of Inception.

Sources tell TMZ that Sheen was worried about Brooke's Mexican adventure, flew down in a private jet to pick her up and brought her to an undisclosed location in America. He has also hired the same doctors for Mueller that helped him clean up following the incidents that led to his Two and a Half Men firing earlier this year.

Expect more rumors of a reconciliation between this former couple to heat up as a result of Sheen's actions.

Reports that Brooke Mueller was off to Mexican rehab were half right.

Charlie Sheen’s former wife is indeed in a residential treatment facility, but in the United States, so that she can remain near her two sons, reports say.

Mueller had planned on going to Mexico specifically to undergo treatment with the controversial drug Ibogaine to stop her cravings for illegal drugs.

Ibogaine, itself a hallucinogenic, is illegal in the U.S., so off to Mexico she went ... until she got thrown off the flight for belligerent behavior.

Brooke Mueller then tried to board a second flight south of the border, but she wasn't allowed to board because she didn't have her passport on her..

Sources close to Mueller say: "She was convinced that was a sign to not go to Mexico. Brooke [knew] Ibogaine is a very dangerous drug to take."

So, instead, she entered an undisclosed inpatient treatment facility within the last 72 hours in the U.S. This way, Bob and Max will be close by.

Will this time be the charm? "Brooke did several outpatient programs in the past six months, but she would quickly relapse," says the source.

"Brooke realizes she had to check in for intense treatment."
