Breaking news: Britney Spears is NOT an amazing vocalist ... said nobody, ever. Shocking, it's not, but this recently leaked track is still worth a listen.

A recording of Britney singing her song "Alien" with no autotune has leaked, and wow. Just wow. This could not even earn a callback on American Idol:

It's unclear why or exactly when, but the 32-year-old pop sensation's unedited vocal version of "Alien" hit the web this week, and gave it goose bumps.

Not the good, Ariana Grande-style vocal goose bumps, either.

The song from the mother-of-two's most recent album, Britney Jean, can be heard in its official, auto-tuned glory after the jump, for comparison:

Courtney Stodden may not have much in the way of talent, or so you thought, until you hear her sing Britney Spears in this short and random Instagram clip.

Plenty of us have doubted her potential over the years, at least beyond marrying actors three times her age and turning herself into a Human Barbie.

She's talented at those things, for sure. But acting, modeling or singing?

Until this, we didn't have much faith ... but eat your heart out. Britney:

You gotta admit. Britney Spears singing live doesn't sound that good.

While it's unclear what Courtney plans on doing with these obvious vocal talents, don't be surprised if she puts out ... an album in the next few months.

Come on, you know you'd listen to it, if only out of morbid curiosity.

She's no Octomom, at least. Some wannabe celebs make "music" because they can. Others can actually sing a little. Could Stodden be among the latter?

We'll have to wait and see a greater sample size to know for sure. Meanwhile, check out some recent Courtney Stodden photos to admire her other "assets" ...

Britney Spears' Las Vegas residency kicks off this weekend amid at least some doubts that the one-time princess of pop music can still bring 'em in.

Her album, Britney Jean, brought in the worst sales of her career to date, and her I Am Britney Jean documentary netted a modest 706,000 viewers.

Britney Spears Tracklist

When Spears’ documentary For the Record aired on MTV in 2009, it averaged 3.7 million viewers, more than five times what the 2013 model garnered.

Britney Jean debuted at #4 earlier this month with just over 64,000 copies sold during her first week on shelves, giving her her worst showing ever.

Will her much-anticipated two-year Vegas show suffer similarly mediocre results? We'll find out in a matter of hours. She takes the stage tonight.

Despite the fact that her team slammed reports of sluggish ticket sales, seats are still available for purchase for Brit's opening night and future shows.

Then again, there's also still time for the word to get out and for her to exceed expectations. Britney has been down before and bounced back strong.

A Vegas residency is a different ballgame, so don't write her off.

Britney Spears let cameras inside her world on E!'s two-hour "I Am Britney Jean" documentary last night, and it's ... not as interesting as you might think.

Don't get us wrong. We're glad she's not a total train wreck enveloped by scandal, ravaged by drug abuse or coming apart at the seams again.

It just didn't feel worthy of two HOURS.

The "movie" followed the 32-year-old as she prepared for her upcoming residency at Planet Hollywood, which kicks off this Friday in Las Vegas.

While more of a glorified commercial for her Piece of Me show than any real piece of film, it did offer some insight into her empire, and she's still Britney.

Some of the crucial takeaways from "I Am Britney Jean" if you missed it:

The set list includes "Work Bitch," "Womanizer," "3," "Oops," "Baby One More Time," "Me Against the Music," "Slave 4 U," "Toxic," "Circus," "Scream & Shout," "Till the World Ends," "Piece of Me," "Boys," "Lucky," "I Wanna Go," "Perfume" and "Stronger."

Britney Spears loves sex! "I love sex, I think sex is great," she told the E! cameras, although it feels "a little different about it now that I'm older."

"Sometimes I feel like I'm 20 and sometimes I feel like I'm 50."

Britney Spears has released the official music video for her song "Perfume," and well, it's interesting. That's the nicest word we can use to describe it.

Interesting. A vulnerable mid-tempo love ballad, "Perfume" finds the pop icon in a dimly lit, fragrance-heavy love triangle that may involve a mannequin.

At least that's what the lifeless-looking mystery man resembles, as Jezebel notes. Watch the video below for yourself and decide if Brit has lost a step:

Wow. That is some serious auto-tune. No British accent though, sadly/fortunately.

The video stays true to the lyrical content (for what that's worth), in what Spears calls a "personal" song that "hits close to home" and "is relatable to everyone."

How, exactly? Well, you see, "Everyone's been through an insecure moment in a relationship that's left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that."

Follow the jump for some other interesting things the music video captures ...

Britney Spears. Jesus Christ. Aside from wildly successful comebacks, what do these two have in common? A musical, that's what.

SPEARS: The Gospel According to Britney will use the Britney Spears' music to tell the story of Jesus Christ.

It's a good thing this show is one-night only because the theater might not be standing by the time it's over.

Hot Work Bitch GIF

"Is it the greatest story ever told set to the greatest music ever written?" asks the shows' promotional materials? Umm...uh...no idea.

The show promises to answer the question, though, provided the lead performer isn't struck by lighting like Jim Caviezel was when he gave the savior-impersonating a go back in 2004.

Britney Spears and perfume go hand in hand, but usually we're talking about her fragrances, of which she has 13. Thirteen. Here, tough, it's the title of her new song!

The second single off her forthcoming album Britney Jean, “Perfume,” is an angst-ridden ballad. In other words, more "Everytime" than "Work Bitch."

Listen to her use "Perfume" to mark her territory, so to speak, below!

From our analysis, this song can be summed up as such: Step off.

Britney Spears is using her scent to mark her territory, hoping that her musk lingers on her man so that any other ladies will keep their distance. Deep stuff.

Britney Jean doesn't arrive until the end of this month, but you can pre-ordered it on iTunes now, with a digital copy of “Perfume” thrown in as a bonus.

What do you think of her new single?

Britney Spears has released the cover for her forthcoming album, Britney Jean, on Friday, along with a personal note thanking Team Britney for its support.

She captioned the image as such: "A personal letter from me 2 u http://bit.ly/me2ulovebrit  & the cover 4 my most personal album ever #BritneyJeanAlbumCover"

Britney Jean Album Cover

"I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years," she wrote. "Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey."

"I can't believe it is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I’m really proud of that."

If the cover of Britney Jean looks familiar, that's because she uses neon script to spell out the title a la Miley Cyrus' Bangerz, and strikes a similar pose.

Take a look at Miles' latest cover below for comparison:

Britney Spears didn't have to dig too deep mentally to come up with the title for her eighth studio album. The star's latest effort will be called ... Britney Jean.

That's her middle name. So it totally makes sense.

"It's a personal album, and all my family, they always call me Britney Jean," she said. "It's like a term of endearment. I just wanted to share that with my fans."

Featuring "Work Bitch," Britney Jean drops December 3, one day after her 32nd birthday. It features collaborations with producers will.i.am and William Orbit.

Spears played coy when asked about any other notable guest appearances on the album. "You'll have to wait and see," she said, flashing her megawatt smile.
