With apologies and due credit to Panda Ross, Diamond White, Lexa Berman, Julia Bullock and Jeffrey Gutt, this was the highlight of the week on The X Factor.

In summation, Britney Spears freaked out during a thunderstorm.

It takes a lot to rattle Britney ... okay, not really. Many people expected this to be the norm this season, Fortunately, if this is as bad as it gets, she'll be fine.

Heck, she'll even endear herself even more to millions of viewers.

Watch the clip below to see the pop icon's priceless reaction to the rumble of lightning and thunder during a contestant's audition in Greensboro, N.C.:

This minute-long photo morph of Britney Spears' face, spanning her entire life from her birth to the present, may give you nightmares. But it's pretty awesome.

Capturing her innocence, cuteness, raw sexiness, fall from grace, turmoil and return to glory, this video beautifully encapsulates our favorite pop singer's life.

Just don't watch it while under the influence of drugs. Please.

She really has been through a lot, hasn't she? From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. We're glad she's in a better place now than a few years back.

Some of our favorite Britney Spears pics made the video:

Britney Spears is loving life at home these days.

Just days after posting some adorable kid photos on Facebook and Twitter, the singer uploaded a video of her eldest son showcasing his dance skills.

Check out six-year-old Sean Preston Federline getting DOWN to the oldie "Shake Your Groove Thing" by Peaches & Herb through a video game ...

It would be cute to see the little fella bust a move no matter how good he was, but the youngster does appear to have some talent, doesn't he?

He's certainly got the focus. When younger brother Jayden James, 5, got anywhere near Preston's dance zone, he was promptly chastised.

Kids. Keep the video and pics coming, Britney!

Britney Spears has a big fan in three-year-old niece Maddie.

The daughter of Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, has made her YouTube debut with an impromptu performance of B's new tune, "Up N' Down."

"OMG! Check out my niece Maddie covering Aunt Britney's Up N Down," the pop star wrote on Twitter. "Sooooo adorable!" To say the least ...

"The beat just dropped and the room got sexy ... You're watching me like there's no one else around," sings Maddie Briann Aldridge, whose father is Jamie's on-off boyfriend Casey Aldrige. "Up and down, up and down, up and down."

The few. The proud. The unlikely fans of Britney Spears.

The U.S. Marines from 266 Rein and HMLA 169 are a talented bunch. Not only do they deserve our respect and admiration for protecting our nation, they know how to have some fun - even "somewhere deep in the heart of Afghanistan."

That's where they produced and starred in this homage to Britney Spears' hit, "Hold It Against Me," which the singer personally saw and gave a shout-out to on her official blog. Experience the greatness of our country's finest below:

Britney Spears appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and on top of performing two tracks from her new album, showed us how to make a very special cocktail.

This was, in fact (not really), a deleted scene from Jackass 3D. It may not have made the final cut, but Johnny Knoxville was kind enough to share it with us here.

It's called Poo Cocktail Supreme. Britney Spears is the "bartender" of sorts. If you get queasy easily, you might not want to watch this. Everyone else, go to it:

Mmm. Delicious. Makes you look forward to happy hour even more.

Follow the jump for Britney Spears performing "Till the World Ends" and "Hold It Against Me" on JKL. The latter performance was cut off as the credits rolled.

Kimmel Tweeted: β€œTo all experiencing fits of intense hissy because the @britneyspears bonus song was short, not our decision if it airs online – artist mgmt.”

That explains it ... sort of. Check out both performances here:

Matty B is eight years old. Eight.

Kid likes to rap/sing covers of other artists' material, and is actually petty decent considering the number of years he's been alive don't exceed one digit.

His latest track, a rendition of Britney Spears' hit "Hold It Against Me," serves as a homage to the pop princess and a message to Matty B's own haters.

Defiantly posting some negative comments his efforts have received online, the youngster vows, while frolicking in some freshly-fallen snow, to sing on ...

Don't hold it against Matty that he's eight years old and probably makes more money than you. Hopefully Kanye agrees and will let him be #1 someday.
