In summation, Britney Spears freaked out during a thunderstorm.

It takes a lot to rattle Britney ... okay, not really. Many people expected this to be the norm this season, Fortunately, if this is as bad as it gets, she'll be fine.

Heck, she'll even endear herself even more to millions of viewers.

Starting tonight, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears will judge contestants on The X Factor Season 2.

But before we watch these young superstars hand out compliments and critiques, let's do a bit of both ourselves, shall we?

The singers walked the red carpet of an X Factor premiere party in Hollywood last night, with Demi donning a short black skirt and Britney feeling a lot more blue. Which pop star pulled off her outfit best? That's for us to ask - and you to decide!

Britney Spears stars in a new ad for the Twister Dance game, and fittingly, it involves what else but her 2011 hit song "Till The World Ends." Keep on dancin'!

The "music video" for the game, first posted on RockTheSpots (dot) com, is basically just a longer commercial, but it's still cool. And appropriately titled.

Britney makes her debut on The X Factor this evening. Hopefully they find a way to work in this clip of Britney dancing Gangnam style with Psy and Ellen:

Britney Spears has closed the book on another chapter of her life she'd just as soon forget ever happened - she settled with former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who'd been battling Britney over sexual harassment allegations for years.

Flores claimed he saw Britney Spears nude a lot, and that she abused her kids.

According to court documents, Spears and Flores have settled his lawsuit.

Flores alleged that Spears would intentionally drop a cigarette lighter in his presence, then bend over to pick it up, "thereby exposing her uncovered genitals."

Then the clown turns around and sues her for this privilege. What a country.

Spears adamantly denies all of the allegations - in particular that she mistreated sons Sean and Jayden - but still paid a modest amount to settle the case.

Britney is still under conservatorship due to an unnamed medical issue, so the deal will have to be approved by a probate court, but that's just a formality.

Good that she got this out of the way before X Factor stars tomorrow.

The 30-year-old confessed being nervous about The X Factor, which premieres tomorrow night on Fox, but at the same time, she's super psyched for it.

“I was really nervous. You have all these people behind you and you know they’re rooting you on,” Britney Spears expressed to Ellen. “Its really exciting."

"It's an electric thing to do. But you know after we got out there and the cast is amazing. Demi and L.A. are great. And we had fun. We had a lot of fun.”

Pop star Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, her agent-turned-fiance, open up about their romance (briefly) in the October issue of Elle magazine.

Asked who made the first move, Jason said,  “It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face, and then-”

Spears then cut him off and said, "Okay, that’s enough information, sweetie. It was sweet, let's just say that." We can only imagine ...

The future Mrs. Jason Trawick looks pretty unreal in the mag, but she admits that there are days when she'd rather not worry about her appearance.

 "I love my jeans and my sweats, I’m really just a tomboy at heart," she admits.

"So it’s really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup and hair-ready every time I go out of my house ... On the other hand, when you do wear those sweats, you’re like, 'Oh God, I should step it up a notch.'”

Britney Spears is NOT ready for the end of summer.

The pop star has made this clear with a couple of bikini photos of late, and while we share that sentiment, Labor Day is really only the unofficial end ... especially if you live in SoCal with its year-round warmth and sunshine. But we get the point.

"Having some fun in the sun... don't want summer to be over" she Tweeted yesterday afternoon, presenting this pic to more than 19,900,000 followers:

The previous Britney Spears bikini pic we posted expressed a similar view of life. With the X Factor starting up, she is going to be much busier soon.

Britney, of course, will be joined on the panel by Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato. Justin Bieber, moreover, will appear as a mentor.

Something is wrong with Britney Spears.

Observers have been saying this about the singer for years, dating way back to 2007 when she shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella - but now actual legal representatives for the superstar are making it official.

Britney's lawyers filed documents in court today relating to her four-and-a-half year conservatorship, requesting that certain records remain sealed because they are "highly sensitive" and would cause "irreparable harm and immediate danger" if released.

Sources tell TMZ the documents in question are of medical nature and they concern Spears' condition and treatment.

Yes, Britney is doing "extremely well" these days, the insiders confirm, but her unidentified disorder can affect her personality and state of mind.

As a result, there are no plans to end the conservatorship, which consists of Jamie Spears and Jason Trawick sharing responsibility for Britney's personal life, while a more general business conservatorship handles the star's fortune and career opportunities.
