That's probably a good thing as far as the troubled singer not dying is concerned. Her dad, Jamie Spears, deserves much credit.

Spears, 26, hung with girlfriends in a roped-off VIP area. Fergie, Snoop Dogg, Pamela Anderson and even Michael Jackson also made appearances.

Britney Spears is back in the recording studio with none other than J.R. Rotem, along with another producer, Sean Garrett, People reports.

"[Britney Spears] is doing great," he said at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor."

"Not every artist has that," J.R. Rotem added. "So it's always nice to work with her."

Rotem, who briefly dated Spears and had sex wheelbarrow-style with her in 2007, would not reveal any details of the project.

However, a family source says that Britney is currently in the early stages of a follow-up to her last album, Blackout.

Going on 10 years now, we've always thought Britney Spears was cute, but her fashion tastes, well, they've left something to be desired.

Take this pink top for example. Yes, it exemplifies the boobage. But it's also weird-looking and makes her appear pregnant. Not a fan.

Britney Spears' father, Jamie Spears, has quit his catering job to dedicate himself full-time to overseeing the pop star's affairs, court papers show.

As a result, Jamie Spears was given $10,000 in back pay to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship of her estate, which started February 1.

He was awarded a $2,500 weekly salary beginning in March.

"The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator ... have required [his] full-time attention," says the request for "replacement compensation."

"As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses."

Jamie, unlike Britney's mom Lynne Spears, never cashed in on his daughters and was making a modest $50,000 a year before coming to Brit's rescue.

Since Jamie Spears took over his daughter's personal, professional and legal affairs, the singer has secured expanded visitation with her two sons, who live with Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, have birthdays in September.

The last time we heard from the former paparazzi boyfriend of Britney Spears, he was seen with Kathy Griffin. No clue WTF that was all about.

Oh, and there was the whole thing with that knife-wielding maniac trying to kill him. No idea what went on there or if it got resolved.

Nor do we know when and how he and Britney broke up, though we're assuming it happened at some point, as he essentially dropped off the planet.

That is, until this week.

The National Enquirer reports he's making one last grab at Britney Spears' assets. No, not that newly-toned and sexy caboose. Her cash, people.

How's he doing it? With a sex tape, of course!

Rumors say Adnan Ghalib is shopping around a Britney Spears sex tape filmed during their trip January trip to Rosarito, Mexico.

"The video starts with Britney undressing," said an insider. "She was wearing some cheap clothes she bought down there in Rosarito. The sex wasn't particularly kinky but Britney wears a pink wig throughout."

Yes, of course she does.

"At one point in the tape Adnan Ghalib asks Britney to remove the pink bob but she refuses, saying 'Take what off? There's nothing left to take off.'"

This "insider" also thinks a Britney Spears sex tape would be the top selling celebrity sex video ever, topping even the Paris Hilton-Rick Salomon romp, 1 Night in Paris.
