Wow. Britney Spears showed off her engagement ring in a new Facebook photo today, but it's not the rock we're impressed by. The bride-to-be herself looks cute as ever!

Oh yeah, and that diamond ring's alright too.

"I can't stop looking at it!!" she wrote along with a photo of herself displaying the bauble inside either a nail salon ... or her house, for all we know. She can afford it!

Here's the beaming future Mrs. Jason Trawick:

Jason definitely did Brit proud when he popped the question with the nearly four-carat round Neil Lane diamond and pave band ring on his 40th birthday last month.

No wedding date has yet been set, and the lovebirds aren't rushing things. Nor are they planning a decadent affair, opting instead for a low-key wedding.

After all she's been through, probably a smart move.

Third time's the charm?

Britney Spears only just announced her engagement to Jason Trawick, but she's already making plans for the big day, according to close family sources.

The singer is adamant that it be a much more low-key, traditional affair than her two previous weddings ... both of which obviously did not turn out well.

Hey, you live and learn right?

An insider explains: "She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends."

With the exception of Jason Alexander, we're guessing.

Insisting that she not have a "Hollywood wedding," Britney "is taking this marriage really seriously." Given everything she's gone through, that's good to hear.

Hopefully this is a relationship that really will be forever. After all the celebrity breakups we've chronicled in the past year, that would be a refreshing change.

That didn't take long.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick got engaged this month, for real, after over a year of rumors that they would do so. Everybody is really happy for them (maybe not Jason Alexander, but everyone else it feels like).

That said, some celebrity gossip publications have already moved onto the next round of rumors: When will they have a baby together!?

The two have not set a date yet that we know of, and don't appear to be in a rush with things, which is probably smart. The same likely applies to having children.

Britney already has two sons, Sean Preston (6) and Jayden James (5), with her former spouse K-Fed. That may be enough to handle for herself and Jason Trawick.

One thing we hope is that with her tour finally over with, she takes the time to relax and enjoy her engagement. Family first - whether it's a growing one or not.

Britney Spears is making this holiday season memorable with gifts to her fans - and we're not just talking about her engagement to Jason Trawick, nice as that was.

Earlier, she released a new/old song, "Strangest Love," reportedly recorded (but never released) for 2003's In The Zone. Now another new song has surfaced online.

It's an acoustic version of “Don’t Keep Me Waiting,” which was clearly enhanced with production on the album version. But this one is fun to listen to in its own way.

Perhaps taking a cute from Lady Gaga's "Stuck on F---in' You", Britney Spears has released an old song of hers entitled “Strangest Love." Old to her, new to us!

While it's rumored to be a holdover from the future Mrs. Jason Trawick’s In The Zone glory days of 2003, it was left off that album for a reason. It's fairly tame.

Still, it's a decent if not amazing ballad, and a nice addition to Britney’s catalog. Listen to Spears' leaked track and tell us what you think in the survey below:

More than a million Google+ users are keeping tabs on Britney Spears, who continues to be one of the most popular human beings on social networks.

She is currently the first and only person to crack seven figures.

In reaching the milestone, Spears beat Google CEO Larry Page and rapper / spiritual adviser (seriously, his Google Plus bio says that) Snoop Dogg.

Not even six months old, Google Plus is already making a name for itself, although we're guessing Jason Alexander is not one of the 1,078,900 following her there.

Those followers pale in comparison to her 15.7 million Facebook fans and 11.9 million Twitter followers - two million of whom started following her since October.

Oh well, give it time, Google Plus. We have faith.

Britney Spears' engagement last week was welcome news to millions of fans and celebrities alike, drawing praise from the likes of 50 Cent and even K-Fed.

Jason Alexander, however, does not approve.

Back in 2004, Brit's childhood friend personified the term 15 minutes of fame ... though it was more like 55 hours. They got married on a whim in Vegas.

Their union was annulled less than three days later, but Jason Alexander likely got it in at least once - and continues to throw in his two cents about Brit.

In short, he's not a fan of Jason Trawick.

"I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not," Alexander, who is now in training for the World of MMA fighting competition (apparently), told Us.

"I think it's fake and I think people are afraid to say it."

"If you look at all the pictures between them there is no connection. They look like they are going through the motions. It seems like a answer to the court thing."

The singer is currently under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears, and Trawick, who once served as the star's agent, meets Jamie's stamp of approval.

"Sort of a nice way to sew it all up; [Britney] marries her handler," Alexander sniped. "That way she always has someone controlling her. It's really sort of sad."

Or you're really sort of bitter. Somehow we doubt he has much contact with Spears these days, has met Jason Trawick, or has any clue what he's talking about.

Ever since Britney Spears got engaged to Jason Trawick last week, celebrities everywhere - and even K-Fed for that matter - have been wishing her all the best.

One of more vocal supporters over the years (really) has been 50 Cent, who told told reporters at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert in NYC how happy he is.

"I am so happy for her," the rapper said, before musing, "Britney Spears had a rough time. The press took the biggest opportunity ever to dog her."

"When you reach that point, you work really hard to get where she is. It’s very interesting because the public likes to build you to destroy you for entertainment's sake."

"I’m just really happy for her to be happy."

Fiddy continued by saying he thinks Britney is ready to be married for a third time (before K-Fed, she wed high school pal Jason Alexander for 55 hours).

"I hope she is," he remarked. "Wouldn’t you like to hope that? Let’s just put that out there in the universe, that she is ready."

She seems it. She and Jason Trawick, her former agent, were close long before they were a couple, and he's been an enormously positive influence on her.

Kevin Federline is nothing short of stoked for Britney Spears.

The pop star just got engaged to Jason Trawick last week, and her ex-husband, with whom she has two adorable young sons, says he could not be happier.

"I'm really happy for her - I think he's a great guy," the Fed-Ex man tells Australia's TV Week. "She's happy; she's doing really well. She's in a good place."

The men of Britney Spears, then and now.

"I haven't spoken to her too much since I've been here, but I know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids' teachers that they're doing really good."

"It's a good step in the right direction. I'm totally happy for her," he says.

As for Jason Trawick, Britney's husband-to-be? "I've spoke to him quite a few times as of now, and he seems like a really good guy," said Kevin Federline.

"The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him."

Federline is currently in Australia, filming the reality show Excess Baggage (a version of Celebrity Fit Club). The other day, he collapsed due to exhaustion.

Kev just celebrated a milestone of his own. He and Victoria Prince, his current girlfriend of several years, recently welcomed their first child (and his fifth).

In case there were any doubts that Britney Spears got engaged ... the star and fiance Jason Trawick celebrated with a massive soiree in Las Vegas Friday.

The pop singer showed off a fairly massive engagement ring, to boot!

Jason, Britney's former agent and boyfriend of several years, popped the question with a three-carat round, Neil Lane stone with a diamond-paved band.

Yeah. Not too shabby, we'd say.

The couple had plenty to celebrate: Spears turned 30 December 2 and wrapped up her world tour December 10, while Jason Trawick turned 40 Thursday.

The result was an intimate gathering at the Planet Hollywood Resort, followed by a big celebratory dinner at the Chocolate Lounge in the Paris Hotel.

Then it was off to Chateau nightclub to party the night away with some of Britney's family and close friends. Sounds pretty perfect if you ask us.
